Jackie is a beautiful black girl who loses herself in love. Her boyfriend William aka Ill Will starts off treating her like a queen but ends up treating her like a punching bag. Once her self esteem plummets she begins to accept the bad treatment. The vicious cycle continues and worsens. She'll be forced to make a choice to stand up for herself or die. This is the story of Jackie and Will, or as they're known in the streets of Harlem, Jack and I'll. Except this is no fairytale.
I read this book because at the end of Dope Girl part 1, Jackie meets Cameisha(Tywanna). You are right, Sa'id! Great writing skills by the author is how the meet!! This was a short story but a good read. I'm excited to get back to the Dope Girl series! I stop reading part 2, so that I could get to know Jackie as well as I know Meisha! I love how you connected Cameisha to Cam and Killa! Write on brother, write on!! I love all your books!
This entails the life of a broken young woman who has been totally brainwashed by the man that she loved. He was her protector at a young age, and then he totally turned on her using the same. Verbiage that the children use to hurt her to tear her down and she kept doing his bidding, including killing people with no thought to the hurt. She was doing to herself.
