Ask yourself, what makes a villain? Is it a skewed moral code or lack thereof completely? Is it the motivation of darkness burning within their soul or is it how they choose to embrace it? To get what their black hearts desire, they may have to give in to temptation and consume the light coming their way.
Follow your favorite villains as they finally get a chance to unveil their side of the story. You may find the heroines painted a bit more vexing than you recall. As you take this journey, allow your mind to remain open and your thoughts might just surprise you.
Cheri Marie is an author, reader, event organizer and most importantly a fur-mama. She is a Florida girl, currently residing in beautiful North Carolina. A lover of animals, it’s no surprise that Cheri has what some would call, a zoo of animals. When she isn't writing stories that transport you to another world, or wearing one of her many hats, she enjoys photography and music. Also on her down time, she enjoys spending a day on the water, fishing with her brothers.
Anothologies are touch and go for me. I’m in the love it or hate it, no in between demographic. This was a great read. Not having read Dirty Fairytales I was worried I would be missing something. Absolutely not. Do yourself a favor and pick up your copy quickly.
A collection of short stories based off Villains we love to hate. Some stories created new characters that made being bad look hot. Others give the Villains a spin showing how life sometimes brands one a villain. All the stories jump off the pages, pulling them into their stories, their lives. I thought the whole collection was an amazing read and I can't wait to read more from these talented authors.
I haven't had a chance to read the entire book, but I have been lucky enough to have read The Marvelous Madam Mim by Chasity Gaines. The Marvelous Madam Mim is a story told with Mim as the narrator. Mim shares her story beginning at birth with her twin brother, Merlin. The story is well written and moves along at a fast pace as Mim's tale unfolds. This is a unique tale that gives the reader a look into gods, reading cards, old ways, and customs. It made me rethink what I've learned about The Sword and the Stone. It left a cliffhanger if you will, leaving the reader satisfied, as well as wanting more. I hope to read more tales of Mim's life. I recommend this book to everyone, especially people who enjoy the stories of Merlin and King Arthur. I cannot wait to read the entire anthology. Chasity Gaines
