Fabulous!

Oh wow - I loved this! This was a beautifully written story about marriage and family. I loved how it deals with real life issues like those which come along with grown up children, those which arise when two people have been married a long time and how we come to terms with getting older. There should be more books like this which deal with women turning fifty as it is a huge life milestone. As a forty five year old woman I could identify with Olivia and her thoughts about turning fifty. I loved the way it was split into different time periods and this held my interest. Great read!

Another winner from Wenzler! The Fabric of Us is a moving story of the Bennet family. The story focuses on the marriage of Olivia and Chris, which appears to be "perfect". As Olivia approaches her fiftieth birthday there is a shift in their lives that impacts their marriage and their family. This beautifully written novel is a page turner and very relatable!

The Fabric of Us

This book is one of the few books that I have read recently that I haven't been able to put down. Family is they fabric that holds the world together. Each family is a small world unto itself, additions to the family only add to the quilt of life. The thread that holds the quilt together is seen in the Love Chris had for for Olivia, their devotion through all the trials of life was beautiful. Life is never a smooth ride each individual has desires, Ella wants a child, she knows since she was a child, Nick adds to the quilt. Surrounding family gives a great example of what we all want and need to grow our quilt Fabric and keep it in place.
Thanks for a hearty family relationship story.

I had to pleasure to read an ARC of this prior to it being published. I loved the author's ability to surprise me throughout the story. The characters feel authentic and totally relatable. And I loved, loved the relationship between Olivia and Chris. They are a loving, sweet couple with real-life problems, and I couldn't help but cheer them on!

Wenzler is an author to watch!

The Fabric of Us by Kimberly Wenzler is a beautiful love story

We meet Chris and Olivia while they were students at Boston College. Chris played in a band once a week with college friends. Olivia saw him playing the keyboards and there was an instant attraction. They dated through the next year talking about all the adventures they would have before settling down. Then their world turned upside down. I don’t want to include spoilers it’s more fun to find out when you read this wonderful love story. I normally don’t enjoy stories that flash back and forth but Kimberly did a beautiful job and everything blended so well. I never wanted to put this book down. The story begins when Olivia turns 50. They were a beautiful couple whose love brought them through many challenges. I loved the book and highly recommend it.

From the minute I started reading, I was hooked! Being similar in age and stage of life as the main characters, it was very easy to relate and sympathize with the struggles they faced. Bringing this book to the attention of my book club was a no brainer. The storyline sparked intelligent and thoughtful discussions and allowed for some fun book club activities. Can’t wait for Kimberly Wenzler’s next book!!

"The Fabric of Us" is a quick, easy read. I stayed interested in the story about a couple that have been married for thirty years. Olivia and Chris are almost ready to tackle their bucket list now that their youngest is in his last year of college. Then life happens and traveling to Tuscany gets put off. A story about family, love, struggles. The only fault with the story was that I found it to be predictable.

Interesting book of family dynamics as well as relationship dynamics. Young couple fall helplessly in love, become pregnant. Watch how the tale unfolds, history repeats itself - or does it....

A beautiful read

The story of a marriage. The good, the bad, and a love that is stronger than even the couple realizes. This is not my normal book type but I enjoyed it very much.
