Escape from Altera

When a daring interplanetary fighter strike on an enemy battle station is ambushed, veteran League pilot Idaho Took finds himself shot down on a hostile alien planet. Despite his resourceful attempts to evade capture, Took is taken to an impregnable prisoner of war camp known as Altera. With his squadron and fleet mates hopelessly outgunned by the alien fleet, the injured lieutenant knows he must find a way back into the fight, but the enemy camp is heavily fortified and located atop an icy mountain impossible to navigate on foot. Took knows the League is running out of time. In fact, his fleet may have already been destroyed. As the last of his hopes are about to fade forever, he meets an unusual prisoner who turns out to be a League secret agent. Clifford Croft's escape plan is reckless. According to Croft, all who have ever made the attempt have perished. But this time, failure is not an option.
