The Story of DeLano Trevino
Cold. Deliberate. Menace. Executioner. Those were just a few words to describe the DeLano Trevino. For the majority of his life, he had been deemed the quiet one. Light on his toes, but swift with his trigger finger; no target was ever left untouched. No enemy ever left breathing. That was until he made the mistake of letting his best friend’s killer roam freely. Six years have gone by since he left the grimy streets of California. Worth the Wait!
Lano’s story was definitely worth the wait. Although complex and introverted, he really had a good heart. He was made for Anika. She needed someone to show her loyalty and unconditional love. Although she had it from her friends, she also needed it romantically. Can I just say I am happy Samia got what was coming to her. Ashley could have gone with her, too. Can’t wait to read about Sen and Neicey’s wedding.

This was a really good read! Nika and Lano have come a long way! I’m so glad we got to see them in love. Just like a previous review someone left, we often don’t get to experience the love the characters have for each other until the very end. I loved how Nika aspired to have a life outside of Lano. She can definitely hold her own. Also, even though that one incident happened, I’m glad it wasn’t the focus of this story. I’m so tired of seeing trauma p*rn

Whew… this book had me feeling everything. I love me some Lano his presence, his energy but his journey was not easy. They went through hell with Lano being so emotionally closed off and being set up. Anika… my heart broke for her. What she went through, the attack, the pain, and still trying so hard to find herself again it was gut-wrenching. But seeing them fight through it all, overcome the darkness, and come out stronger together.

I really enjoyed Lano book. His character development and the way he showed love to Anika improved so much I love him even more. It was so good to see the crew and so happy Anika leveled up after everything because she deserves it. Lano and Nik are officially my fav couple from BriAnn books. I can’t wait for Sen and Neicey wedding book

— I loved Delano and Anika in Juvie & Solai: Hood Love Story. This book only made me love their bond even more. I was happy to see the growth in Nik, because she was too hot headed before.
— The character development and the love Lano has for Nik is strong. The emotions that were dragged out of me during this story was worth it. He was a precise and intentional protector and lover.
— Samia, did entirely too much throughout this book and got her karma.

Excellent!
There is no need for me to go on and on about how awesome this book was because BriAnn Danae is one of the coldest out here in this literary world, so what is understood doesn't need to be explained. I will say that I have been waiting for this couple since reading about them being together in earlier books as well as the semi-cliffhanger given in a Senful Holiday, so to finally get to know them on a deeper level was exciting. DeLano Trevino was always the character that I knew I would like, his quiet and calculating manner added to the suspense of what his character could really be about. Anika has been my girl since the beginning she gave me a way to embrace my plus size figure while still being slightly class/ratchet with it! Reading about her in this story had me feeling so many things at once. The relationship between the two was perfect, knowing when to fight, when communicate, or when to let it go is what really worked for them. I'm not sure DeLano would be for me since my mouth is not setup to switch on and off when asked to but Anika has history with him and without raising his voice or being rude he communicates everything. Briann Danae created two characters that in my opinion are in her top three couples, I love the growth and progression she has when telling this story and I cant wait to read more.

I just want to say this book is a HIT !!! Bri I can see your growth w/ the pen all through this book. Yes, it was very emotional to read. What Anika & Lano had to go through. It’s life ya know? You never know what’ll come next. My cousin DeLano a calculated, precise, protective LOVER & now FATHER showed his growth throughout the book. I can admit I felt sorry for Samia in the beginning I felt like maybe she was just still hurting from Saon’s death & haven’t gotten over Lano disappearing all those years ago (That’s very possible) but she was just childish about it. I didn’t want her to die the way she did.... Karma though? She shows up and shows out every time. I’m ready for the wedding!! I really loved hearing from the old crew (my forever favs) you missed somebody though 🙄 MY BABY RA. Although Juvia was my first love Lmao. I enjoyed this read and it only gets better from here right? 🙌🏽

This book was beautiful and heartbreaking… the love they had for each other was honestly amazing. I read this in one sitting. Ima just say… my girl is stronger than me. Ion think I would’ve been able to survive what she went through. I just wish there was a proposal scene but again I honestly loved this book and I wasn’t expecting to.
By the description I was scared this was low key going to be a love triangle type… but samina was just a weirdo through and through.
Also, I think this is the first story I’ve read where the couples were already tg and were just seeing how they navigate their relationship, and I need more stories like this. I love reading when couples fall in love but sometimes the story ends as soon as they get tg and it always leaves me wanting to know what happens next. So this having them already in love and everything was just chefs kiss.

Lano and Nik
The reason I live them is because they are so raw and real with each other. Nik never held her tongue with anyone but Lano brings out the good in her. Lano the quiet and calculated one gets the love and peace needed from Nik to make him whole again after his best friend's death. I didn't like Samia but I think she needed closure but Lano was just making it clear they weren't going to be together because he didn't love her anymore. She knew Lano and not sure what she wanted from him but explaining himself wasn't the play. I loved Nik's glow up, I am glad she found something therapeutic like writing to help her with her pain. The things they went thru as a couple and individuals really brought them together and made their bond that much stronger!!!

Love, Love, Loved it!!!!
Hands down one of my favorite books this year. DeLano Trevino is the shiz ny eeeeeee!!! Had me looking at my good man like 👀👀👀 you're doing great, but.... 😂😂😂 This book had it ALL!! Action, adventure, and a love for the ages. BriAnne Danae never disappoints. I'm not giving any of the plot away, just know if you don't read this book, you're missing out. From this author's first book on this group of friends through this release I have loved and enjoyed it all. Now, I'm off to find a dress for Niecy and Sen's wedding. You know Erica, Solai, Anika, and then twins gone be trying to shut it down, so I must come on thru right!

So worth the wait
You know it’s a good read when you wake up in then middle of the night just to finish read. This book had me on the edge and I love me some DeLano!!! Bae bae... let me tell you Simiah got what she deserved. About time Nik got knocked up because I knew Lano wasn’t playing with her. This story had me in my feelings. I was so choked up when that judge gave Lano his sentencing with no bail! I almost passed out. Don’t let me forget about how the crew came through for Nik at the drop of a dime. That’s what you call family and real love. I enjoyed the whole book. Thanks Girl!

LOVED IT
Very well written and great character development. I really enjoyed reading Delano's story with Anika by his side through it all. Great cameos from Sen, Neicy, Juvie, Solai and the rest of the crew. I loved Anika and Lano's loyalty to each other, they were definitely tried and tested but through it all nobody not even Samia conniving ways could disrupt that. As always Briann puts some great stories together with charcaters that are unforgettable. Can't wait for Sen and Neicy's wedding.

This was such a great read!!! It was thoroughly enjoyed. I was upset about what happened to Samia only because I wanted her to see Lano and Nika living out life to fullest in love. I’m hoping Monroe and Zoe have a story as well as Misani and Zari. Now it’s time to read about Sensay and Neicey and I know they got some laughs coming.

My favorite from this author. DeLano Trevino loves hard. They way he loved protected , and fought so hard for Anika made me love him even. None of that cheating and carrying on. He was such a man that stuck by his words. Anika is everything a man could want in a woman. She held him down through it all. Don’t wanna give this story away because I really want y’all to read this. But babbbyyyy Samia one word KARMA ! Lord Amiya and Soterio is a mess.

What can I say?
DeLano Trevino is the man that all women wish that they had in their life. His love for Anika was so strong and unconditional, as was her love for him. She was a true ride or die and was willing to rock anyone’s world when it came to her man. I truly enjoyed reading this story and was glad that he got out of the game once he revenged his friend and lady. Now he gets to spend all of his time loving Anika and Legacy. 😍

Lano is that dude and Anika was down for the ride. The love that these two had for each other was everything. Even in the midst of adversity one word, each other's scent or just a look was all they needed to keep going!! Nothing or No one could come between the love these two shared. This was a really good book and I liked how it picked up from the other stories and just tied everything together. This group/familys' friendship is truly something else. Just the love between Anika and DeLano held my interest. All the other elements were just a bonus. If you have never read about this group, it would be best to start from the very beginning. You wont be disappointed!

Good Book
I like how Lano really loved and loved on Anika and how she was his rider through everything that they went through. I can't stand chicks like Samia who don't know how to let go and move on when a man doesn't want you anymore but she got what she deserved in the end. I'm glad that Tone's name was cleared and proven that he didn't set Lano up. I wanted to know what happened to Mario/Raymond when what he did came out.

great timing
I hadn’t read a good book in a min. Seems like authors now days have pretty much the same style. I needed something different and refreshing, and this book was just that. Nik and Delanos love was palpable through the pages, I literally felt like I was right there with them. They overcame a lot of struggles and heartache but they never flaked on each other. Love these characters and will never forget them 🩷

Got d*** Briann. You deliver every single time, but this transcended anything I could have imagined. The love and vulnerability you allowed DeLano to show would not allow me stop crying. I felt I was in this book from the first page. Can’t wait for what’s next . They need to up the star power cause baby you’re worth more than five.

One of my favorite
Honey!! You did it. I knew Anika and Lano love each other, but this on a different level of love and romance. This was an emotional rollercoaster from the start to finish. It demostrated the true definition of ride or die couple and no matter what love will always win.

You never sense to amaze when it comes to your writing styles. I been rocking with you for a while and say you are a beast. Okay now this story was something of a fairy tale. I always knew that Lang was what Nik needed in her life. He did what every woman wishes there man would do for them even. Can't wait to see the new work.

Loved it!!
I so love these two! I love how confident and loving Lano is towards Anika. How loving they are towards each other really because Anika played no games about her man Samira was shady all the way around that mess all came back smh. I felt like I was cheering Anika on when she finally got that chance...

Omg! Im glad I read Delano’s story. It was so many twists and turns. Samia was so wrong, it was sad what happened to her though. Im glad Lano got out of jail. I loved how the family was so loving and supportive. It was a good ending. I plan to read the stores of the other characters.
