This is another good read by Vivian Ward. I do enjoy the Halloween theme story and of course the characters. A must read if you are in the mood for a little dirty devil fun.

This was a very strange take on a ‘romance’ novel. It certainly felt more like a Psychological Thriller, and I kept waiting for something terrible to happen.
It starts off with Todd talking to the readers about a girl he likes. He sounds so creepy, though, in the way he is describing her and what she likes and does. It reminded me of ‘You’ as Joe worked in a bookshop and stalked a woman he liked who was in college!
Todd was definitely a stalker too, and I really don’t understand what Marissa saw in him, especially after she finds out. His sob story was just bizarre and cringe-worthy!
The characters reactions to things, even small events, were so over the top and a lot of the dialogue felt forced and disjointed. I have no idea what that ‘official’ thing was all about at the end even Marissa’s dad was a bit like ‘yeah ok whatever’ and that’s exactly how I felt. It felt false and contrived. Very odd!
I’m afraid this was not a pleasant read. There were so many typos and words missing it made it very difficult to read along with the peculiar storyline. The only good thing was that it kept very much to the Halloween theme that was set for this collaboration.

Good
This was a pretty good story. I really enjoyed the characters, especially Todd even though he did come off as a little creepy at first. I appreciated that Marissa wasn’t a virgin, I am really tired of that trope! This story is completely safe with no op drama!

Definitely amusing!!
Marissa shouldn’t be “ashamed” about shopping at the thrift store and the secondhand shops, I always found such nifty things there vs the popular shops with allllll the same (and typically overpriced) things!! Too bad now it’s just as expensive to buy used/donated goods as brand-new 🫤

One box of Devil’s Food Cake
Cream Cheese Frosting
Red Food Coloring
Black Fondant
Find a hot, sexy alpha at the grocery store. Lure him home with treats and the promise of extra goodies if he can eat everything on the menu.
Heat the oven to the appropriate temperature on cake mix box but be careful, the kitchen’s about to get hot. Slip into a short, red silk dress to help keep cool and show off those sexy curves.
Slowly stir all ingredients in cake batter while keeping eye contact with the sexy beast waiting to eat a Halloween feast!
Bake until batter rises and be sure to pull out promptly. We don’t want any accidents to happen.
While cupcakes are cooling, transport the cream cheese frosting into a medium-sized bowl and add desired amount of red food coloring until the frosting looks hot enough for hell.
Do a taste test. Scoop some icing on your finger in front of the horny hungry alpha and slowly lick it off your finger while forcing him to watch. Offer him a taste but refuse once he accepts.
*Remember: People in hell want ice water but we don’t always get what we want.* muahahahaha
Cut and shape small pieces of black fondant into miniature devil’s horns and place them on top of the frosted cupcakes.

This was a fantastic story for Halloween—funny, sexy, and hauntingly spooked. I thoroughly enjoyed reading this story. Vivian Ward did an excellent job with this novella. Todd is a psychology major and loves to study people—one reason he works in the college library and he will do anything to help Marissa. Todd is tall, handsome, and sexy. Marissa Wakefield is a very attractive girl, who belongs to a sorority. Not only is she attractive, but she is intelligent and somewhat shy. Marissa spends most of her time working on medical research and helping with charity events—she does not act like the typical girls in her sorority. Ever since Todd met Marissa, he was enamored with her and has been putting a plan together and basically stalking her to make her his. Marissa’s sorority is having a Halloween charity event. Every Halloween party has its share of spooks, dark haunted houses, and Todd plans to trick or treat with Marissa. The chemistry between Todd and Marissa gets really sultry—the sex is off-the-chart hot!! What happens when Marissa finds out that Todd has been stalking her? Will she forgive him or walk away? i read this book as part of an arc program. This is book in the Halloween Honeys series. Marissa is a sorority sister at Mi Alpha Alpha and is taking part in the haunted house for charity. Marissa is studying to be a doctor to study vaccines and help find cures for diseases. Todd is studying psychology and works at the campus bookstore. When Marissa comes in wanting copies for flyers about the haunted house, Todd offers to help her. Todd loves to watch Marissa and he wants to ask her out. When Todd offers to lend Marissa Halloween decorations, she is thrilled. Todd asks Marissa out and she wants to date him, but her sorority sisters tell her he is bad news. Marissa decides to go out with Todd anyway and they have a great time. When they go back to his place, Todd spills beer on himself and he says he is going to shower. Marissa looks around and finds her picture and her schedule. Marissa gets freaked out, but Todd only wants to explain it is because of how much he likes her. A few days later Todd goes to the haunted house to apologize again and Marissa decides to give him another chance. I really like this series and this was a good one. I think Todd was a quiet guy who was misunderstood. I think he should have just told Marissa about liking her. I think Marissa let others opinions sway hers. Good one.

His dirty devil is a novella that is a part of the Halloween honeys series. This story is short, fast paced and a nice read. I read this book within half an hour and was satisfied throughout. I liked Marissa, she was kind, caring and selfless.
I liked Todd but I found him a little intense at times and a little weird. i liked him more when his reasons were revealed. I wanted to tell him to chill out a little and just be honest with Marissa about his attraction/feelings.
The chemistry between Marissa and Todd was clear to see but I would have liked a little more. I did think that they made a cute couple and I did like them as a couple.
I understood that Marissa’s sorority sisters were protective of her but I wanted to shout at them to stop being so judgemental towards Todd. Even when it was obvious that Marissa and Todd were happy together, the sisters had an opinion. I was a little confused by Abby. She seemed kind of supportive of Todd and Marissa when she was speaking to Todd. But towards the end, Marissa said that Abby was the main one judging and saying stuff about Todd being creepy.
The storyline for this book is easy to follow and a nice read. I cannot wait to read more books from this series/collection.

This is almost a sweet romance. Almost. Boy meets girl, boy lusts after girl, girl appears not to notice boy, girl secretly likes boy. Of course, they get together. There is some sex, yes, but the story seems to get in the way. If you are looking for this semi-sweet piece of chocolate, then wonderful. This reads like a YA title. If you want more of a sensual experience, like some of the other "Halloween Honeys" books, you may want to try another.
Take this review with a grain of salt. When I received it, there was a disclaimer: "The actual published book may vary and contain additional and/or different content." This could mean that this is actually "To Kill a Mockingbird" or "Red Fish, Blue Fish" for all I know. All I can say is that this review is based on the ARC I received at the time, for what that's worth.
I should mention that I normally enjoy all of this author's books; I own 6 of the ones offered here on Amazon. I still recommend the author, but with the disclaimer mentioned above and the fact this was not listed as a YA title, I can't give it more than 2 stars.

Todd is attracted to Marissa, but can't get a read on her. He rook a job at the library so he would be able to see her, since they have no classes together. Todd is a psychology major, and wants to get to know her, so he kind of stalks her to get to know her before he makes his move.
Marissa is definitely not the typical sorority girl. She uses all her money for her research, clients she takes care of, and her fundraising. She knows that Todd will help her make copies of the flyers so she's able to save some money, plus he's definitely a catch that she doesn't think she'd be able to have a chance with.
When Todd volunteers to help with the haunted house, Marissa can't believe her luck. Until she finds out he'd been Stalking her. How can Todd do this? Will he be able to smooth things over?

In this book we meet Marissa and Todd. Both of them are attracted to the other but neither have ever said a word. If you have read any of the Halloween Honeys books, you know the drill: A sorority is running a haunted house for charity and each sorority sister decorates a room with her own theme. Of course, this is a romance series, so it doesn't stop there. There is a hookup involved in each book as well.
This has been a delightful series of stories, with each couple having their own theme and story. This one is no exception. Our couple follows the usual path of discovery, mishap and recovery eventually leading to their HEA. I found this story to be a little flat, needing a little more something to spice it up, but I really liked the HEA on this one. It was definitely new. Oh, and there is some hot steamy sex, but only a little bit.
Like all of the Halloween Honeys books, this one is recommended.

Marissa is a member of the Mi Alpha Alpha sorority and is planning her room for the Halloween Charity Haunted House. Todd works in the college book store and is taken with Marissa. He helps her when she needs some flyers printed and he kind of stalks her because he is drawn to her. When he helps her with her room at the charity event Marissa finally notices him. Things move pretty quickly between them and they end up back at his place. However when she founds out that he has been following her she gets spooked and runs. Will Todd be able to convince her to give him a chance?
This is a great story once I started reading I couldn't put it down. The chemistry between them is blazing hot. This is a well written and very entertaining story. I would recommend this book to any book lover.

I am totally loving The Halloween Honeys series. His Dirty Devil by Vivian Ward was so incredibly hot. What a delicious treat! Todd has been watching Marissa for a while just waiting to make his move. They both attend college but have completely different majors. He works part-time at the campus bookstore and also helps Marissa whenever she comes in. Todd is a psychology major and Marissa is studying medical research. He finally gets his chance when he offers to help with the haunted fundraiser. She is attracted to him too and agrees to him helping with the haunted house. What will Marissa do when she learns how closely he has been watching her? Awesome halloween treat! Definitely recommend!

This is a fun quick romance about Marissa and Todd who are at college. He's wanted her for a while and she is HOT and could have any guy that she wanted. But she's a good girl and he's going to make sure that she is his. There are a few misunderstandings and great characters. I liked the way Vivian Ward showed developing maturity and , of course, all the warts and cattiness, that you get with any group of women together [and YES, I am female and we all know that a group of women leads to that lol]. A fun read that is great for this time of year and kept me entertained from first to last page. It's a real page turner. Wasn’t what I expected but I still loved it.
Todd has struggled most of his life and he knew in order for him to go to college he would need a miracle or a little help.
Well he got it all on his own and now he is trying to make something of himself, but he sees someone he has fallen for and now he will do anything to know her and get her.
Marissa is so focused on school that she really isn’t looking for love at the moment. But something about Todd intrigues her even though he is helping her in ways can’t count.
These two in some way help each other open up more and fall in love.
It’s cute, quick and will melt your heart a little.

His Dirty Devil
Great story about having patience when it comes to what you want. Todd & Marisa are a great couple & have a lot in common both want to help people with their future careers. They get together as slowly as this short story allows but Todd almost blows it. They are able to work through the misunderstanding & come out the other side.
I love these compilations. They are quick, sexy treats that can be read to completion in one sitting and allow you to still be a productive adult for the day. It's a complete story all the way to the HEA.

I really loved this book as part of the Halloween Honeys series by various authors. Marissa is the sweet girl who does so much for others including her sister as her nephew is suffering from an illness. Todd has liked Marissa for a while but wants to get to know her before plucking up the courage to ask her out. As she finds things about herself in his desk and listens to her sorority sisters, will they ever stand the chance of being together.? A great read from start to finish. Can’t wait to read more of this series.

Author, Vivian Ward has written a fun little contemporary Novella just perfect for the Halloween Season. Sorority sister, Marissa met Psy student Todd where he works at a book store. He volunteers to help her out at a charity function on Halloween and they begin to date but not without problems. Can they work through these issues and have a HEA?
VERDICT: Love this storyline and the characters. Both were well developed and engaging. A perfect way to spend an hour anytime anywhere.

This was a great story to read for Halloween. It is sexy, humorous, sassy, and has that spooky vibe going. I very much enjoyed reading this book. So Todd has been interested in Marissa, a Sorority girl, for sometime and he wasn’t sure how to get her attention. Then she lets him know about the Haunted House. Will this be what Todd uses to finally get Marissa's attention? Will he finally get close to her? This is one short novella in a group of novellas revolving around Halloween and a Sorority. The steam and chemistry is red-hot and steamy.

A great story! Todd and Marissa go to the same college, but have different majors. Todd is so in love with Marissa but doesn't know how to get her attention. Melissa's sorority is having a Haunted House for Halloween. Each of the girls get to decorate their own room in The Shackleford Mansion. ...so How can Todd get involved ? . The storyline was well written and the characters are well described and I loved them. The plot was well developed. Vivian Ward did a great job writing this story. I read this book as an arc program. ❤🔥💋

This will get you in the right frame of mind for the Halloween tricks and treats to come. I was disappointed, when Marissa bolted on Todd without giving him a chance to explain what she found while snopping in his home- creeper girl! I liked that Todd sought Marissa out for a second chance to straighten out her wrong assumptions. The sorority girls were extremely catty and immature. Amazing shocker at the end and Marissa matures finally.
