This book deals with the contemporary ideological critiques introduced by Slavoj Zizek in relation to the post-independent political developments in Sri Lanka. Further, it also attempts to suggest a revolutionary model for the enthusiastic leftist who still hope for a radical revolution to topple down the existing capitalist framework in the post-global Sri Lanka. Hence, it is a reinterpretation of the Zizekian ideological edifice and (re)use it to resuscitate the dead revolution in Asia.
