Space Necromancer: Book 1: Raising the Army

Rate this book
If, on the surface, Vincent Kroll looks like your regular Junker, i.e. making a living by cleaning up the high orbit of any wreckage, the mysterious captain harbors a few dark secrets.

As he undercuts the Guild’s prices to secure as many contracts as possible, he brings the wrath of other Junkers upon himself, thus putting his life in jeopardy. Yet, Kroll isn’t doing it for the money. The reason why he’s interested in abandoned ships is for what they might contain. No, not potential treasures or cargo.

But dead crew members.

See, Kroll is on a mission to strike back at the Earth Alliance, the same Alliance which ruined his life so many years ago by killing his family. And that’s where the dead will come into play. Kroll has been backstabbed too many times to trust anyone anymore, but the army he will raise will never turn against him, for its members were but frozen corpses in space before Kroll brought them back to life!

Yes, Kroll will use his necromantic abilities to build an army of the dead in secret.

However, there will be a price to pay. The ancient gods who bestowed this “gift” upon him expect something in return… Something that might come in direct conflict with his very goals and ambitions.

About the author

Simon Lyons

5 books3 followers
Having left his North London ‘sink’ comprehensive at the age of fifteen with few qualifications, Simon travelled extensively before settling down to family life and ‘blagging’ a living. A ferocious gig and festival goer, he always felt he had a story to tell and How to Kidnap a String Quartet is the combination of his varied experiences of life and wild and whacky imagination.

He is currently near to completing his follow up The Good Poison Club, a thriller set in an NHS hospital.
