R. E. Carr likes to split her time between the alien (well, resident alien) she married, her two adorable offspring and the vast army of characters who constantly argue in her brain. She uses her past life as a video game reviewer to remind herself just how awesome it is to be writing novels now.

Rachel writes because she knows so many people and places that never quite made it into this version of the universe. It's her duty to let them out. Writing also gives her mind a certain peace and calm rarely felt in this multi-tasking, wired world.

I love this series and how unique it is. I think she does a great job and there are still parts to be smoothes out with her writing, but over all it's awesome.
One thing I like is the jumping to other characters to get a different view of the entire picture. You think you are getting a good idea ... but then she does something totally unexpected.
One good example is the end, loved it.

Very much enjoyed the whole series that I started a month or two ago. At times I was getting lost in which character was who at various times and their relationships as sometimes they changed, but that may be just me after yelling at the kids to get off my lawn. The characters are fun and a treat to get to know.

As I have said before, I really have enjoyed the world building of this series. I love the twist we have on the vampire genre, the twist on the werewolf genre, and add in some magic and King Arthur. As I have also said before, the plot gets even more complicated but I loved how it all worked out. Read slowly and make the effort to keep it all straight. Totally worth it!

About

As confusing as an ending book can be. I was really enjoying this series, but this ended just seems to spiral off to a distant galaxy all it's own. Too complicated and I didn't like it enough to re-read it and try to figure it out.

The best book in the series

A happily ever after ending, sort of; vampires are a$$holes, after all. All the loose threads are pulled in this one. There's so many twists and turns and revelations, along with more treachery and deceit. A total rollercoaster and worth every minute.

The end is what gets you

I loved this book and its characters. It’s an amazingly entertaining story. Here’s hoping we will hear from them again soon.

Nice job.

I normally like more action. But it was a good story. Loved the happy ending and that you left the option to return.
