John Milton is back in the fourth omnibus edition in the million-selling series.
This digital box set contains the tenth, eleventh and twelfth thrillers:
Blackout: John Milton’s life is about to change. The former government assassin follows a lead to Manila that he hopes will change his life. But he never expected to wake up in an unfamiliar hotel room beside a murder victim. And, unfortunately for him, Milton doesn’t remember a thing about the night before.
The Alamo: John Milton has finally found a place to escape the bloodshed: off-season Coney Island. No tourists. No special ops. Just peace and quiet. But when a local boy witnesses a grisly murder, Milton can’t resist investigating
Redeemer: John Milton is visiting an old friend in Rio who runs a close protection business guarding the city's elite. Milton offers to stand in when one of his bodyguards doesn’t turn up for work. The job? Take the wife and daughter of an anti-corruption judge to a school recital and bring them back again. Simple? Not so much...

Mark Dawson was born in Lowestoft and grew up in Manchester and Chicago. He has worked as a lawyer and currently works in the London film industry. His first books, "The Art of Falling Apart" and "Subpoena Colada" have been published in multiple languages.
He is currently writing two series. Soho Noir is set in the West End of London between 1940 and 1970. The first book in the series, "The Black Mile", deals with the (real life but little known) serial killer who operated in the area during the Blitz. "The Imposter" traces the journey of a criminal family (think The Sopranos in austerity London and you'd be on the right track).
The John Milton series features a disgruntled special agent who aims to help people to make amends for the terrible things that he has done. Mark, as a child of the 80s, will freely admit that he watched a lot of The Equalizer in his youth.
Mark Dawson does it again with this John Milton series! This series is current, realistic, and believable. John Milton has now become the new “Jack Reacher”. So glad that I started the John Milton series. Have completed the series (Books 1 - 12) and found each of them to be well written, entertaining, and fast pace stories that are current with our times. A must read for anyone who enjoys reading Jack Reacher, Jason Bourne, David Slayton, and Mitch Rapp novels.
This book has the making of a great Netflix series!
This collection of stories was excellent . I have thoroughly enjoyed all 12 so far. John Milton character is excellent. Always seeking redemption for his past. He comes in to help ppl the underdogs. In the process being drawn back into the world he left. Mark Dawson is right up third with Brad Thor, Danirl Silva, Kyle Mills etc. etc. Keep the great stories coming and I will keep reading. Outstanding !!!! Thanks, Carl Clause
The John Milton series is a fantastic series. I am so enthralled with the adventures John finds himself in, none of which he went looking for. I love the action. I love the character development. Even new characters are developed quickly yet completely. There are plenty of twists that keep the reader riveted. I like that the books can be purchased in three book lots; so, I can easily continue my journey as Milton’s omniscient observer. John Milton is just a man looking to make amends for his past. This series is so good, I hate to think it must eventually end.
Having now read 12 of the John Milton series, what more can I say? This volume is numbers 10, 11 and 12 in the series. (That is why it took so long; PLUS the fact that I never read the same author twice in succession -- that's a great way to get sick of an author!) I obviously find it's satisfying, otherwise why read them? There is an element of 'thinking' in these books; the fact that he constantly battles alcoholism; the fact that he is trying to make up for his; perceived; past 'bad' actions -- even though his actions were sanctioned by his government..
He wants to do good but keeps getting pulled back to his old stuff. He knows what to do and how to do it no one is safe when he seeks revenge for those who have been wronged. John Milton is a good man but don't get on the wrong side of him. These thrillers are none stop justice for those who can not fight back without his help. Loved the stories the ride the risks I highly recommend these books
Approx. 3 - 3 1/2 weeks ago I picked up my first John Milton book. Now, 3 + weeks later I have just finished number 13. It is like John's addiction I just could not stop???? Great stories although some of the violent bits I think are over the top and too drawn out. Otherwise I would put Mark Dawson up there with Lee Childs. I Totally recommend this series to those who like this genre of books.
Books 10-12 of the John Milton series include some excellent suspense and drama. While there are some loose ends And story inconsistencies here and there the series is pretty well done. The main character always seems to come out ahead in the end except it terms of being alone.
Took me a while longer than normal to get all the way through, been rather busy lately the redeemer was the best of the set. A lot of twists and turns leading to a very satisfying ending
This is an excellent series to read, created by Mark Dawson. If you like action, intrigue, and some mystery thrown into the mix, then John Milton's exploits will not dissappoint. They're s cracking good read!
Love Mark Dawson and his British brand of superhero, John Milton. Love how Dawson blends him in with other countries and cultures. Makes me wonder if he scouts out these various scenarios he places Milton in before hand. I doubt it. On to book 13.
Dawson has developed as a writer. Milton has become more if a heroic figure as he battles his demons and tries to make things right for those who can't do it on their own. I'm really enjoying these books now and looking forward to the next. Write on, Mark Dawson!
I fully enjoyed this series. It kept me in suspense I intend to read the rest of the series., wondering what would happen next. Love it! I intend to read the rest of the series.
Just finished John Milton series 10-12 and am not bored. In fact I can’t wait to read #13, and book one of Beatrix Rose series. Mark is an excellent author and I highly recommend his novels to all avid readers. Dr. C. 😎
I have really enjoyed reading your books 📚📚📚... The characters are truly believable that I can not wait to read your next story. That is what your books are stories...if you have not read this series you are missing alot!!!!
Thank you for these exciting stories about John Milton once again bringing justice to those usurping the law. The storylines are fast-moving and the many characters are fascinating.
These books continue to hold my attention. Twists and turns in the story keep me interested until the end and then I want more. John Milton is a wonderful character, well flushed out and easy to be on his side.
Definitely unputdownable and very addictive in terms of gripping action but the characters don't really grow (on you) and as a series it definitely lacks the kind of cohesion and congruence like say the Ava Lee series that make you go back again and again. Good for a once only read for sure though.
This former government assassin, now tries to help others who are in impossible situations. Solitary and travelling from country to country as his past keeps catching him up.
Really really loving these stories. I can’t put them down and find any excuse to be reading them. Well written and great character building. Mark Dawson is an excellent storyteller.
Loved loved loved these 3 stories with the John Milton series. Definitely looking forward to reading the next one. This author knows how to build the excitement up and deliver one Hell of a good ending.
I’ve now read all the John Milton books including 17 & 18, which I just concluded back-to-back. All are excellent, unputdownable, as were the related Beatrix Rose and Isabella Rose series. Move over Jack Reacher!
Loved these books. Yet again Mark Dawson brings the characters to life and you go through each action with them. I hate when the books are finished but thankfully I have another 9 in the series to read
