Bewildered: A Steamy Pride and Prejudice Variation

Rate this book
While Elizabeth Darcy is suitably happy in her very fortunate marriage, she cannot help but feel as if something is missing. When her husband comes to her with an interesting plea, she cannot help but be curious herself. Bewildered is the first in a new series of intimate and sensual short stories by Grace Reeve. A sequel to Pride & Prejudice, the series will follow Elizabeth and Darcy as the newlyweds become acquainted with one other and learn how to be the sort of spouse the other deserves.

About the author

Grace Reeve

Grace Reeve writes swoon-worthy stories inspired by the wit, passion, and unforgettable characters of Jane Austen. With a particular fondness for Mr. Darcy, clever heroines, and slow-burning tension, her novels blend Regency elegance with heart-fluttering romance. When she’s not dreaming up new ways for Elizabeth Bennet to scandalize society, Grace can be found curled up with a cup of tea, a cravat-clad hero, and far too many notebooks.

She lives for grand declarations, stolen glances, and happily ever afters—with just enough mischief along the way.

This short story was a freebie for Kindle. At first Mr. Fitzwilliam Darcy turns out to be an unsatisfying lover and Mrs. Darcy wants to change that and let him know what she likes.

If you want to read a short, tender sex scene between ODC this could be just for you. Nothing wrong with the writing as such. If you're reading JAFF for the emotional roller coaster you can skip this because there is absolutely nothing else to this story but the sex.

On my Kindle this says it's 26 pages so quite a quick read either way.

I liked it. But seems a bit odd to me that it took Darcy 9 months to realize his wife Elizabeth isn‘t satisfied in bed. Or both ways if you will.
Darcy came across as the ‚virgin‘ in the story. And Elizabeth as a little experienced or at least willing to experience it.
