An invincible creature that wants to possess her.

Shor Dasquian is a man who has a fearless dragon’s heart beating inside his chest. When he prepares to fight for the woman from Earth, he does not know what events he will set in motion. She is the one – the woman whom fate has chosen to bring into his life, only to separate them from each other all over again.

His love for the woman changes him.

The brave man turns into a fearless one.

The loyal dragon-shifter turns into a relentless lover.

The strong dragon turns into an invincible being, who teaches even the most dangerous creatures from his home planet to fear him. Dark, wonderful, and mesmerizing. Accompany Dasquian on his fantastic journey and experience vindictive goddesses from ancient times, a merciless creature born of fire, and a love story that remains unforgettable.

Sometimes I still shake my head at myself! Me and sci-fi?

“Never,” I would have said, just a few years ago! I am much too caught up in the here and now for that. When I think about how big the universe is, and how small we all seem in comparison, I feel nothing but awe. In my writing, my passion goes to the creatures who live at the edge of our world. Aliens, werewolves, panther shifters, vampires - all of them fascinate me. That’s why I try, with the help of my keyboard, to breathe a life into them.

Dnf @66%. Interesting premise but the execution is not for me. I can summarise the book so far in three sentences. And you wouldn't be missing much of the actual plot, because there barely is any. Meant-to-be insta love is so very last century, and so is a plot that involves barely anything besides the MC telling me how much in love they are. I'd like to make up my own mind on that by being shown why that is the case, so thanks but no thanks.

Messed up

This story has sci-fi and fantasy elements. The bad things that happen felt contrived. Other things were vague or unexplained. This story is a mess.
Cool cover though!

A badly executed good idea

I liked the idea but the writing style made it tedious, the world building wasn’t that good, and the pacing wasn’t right. Also, I skipped pages because the characters’ thoughts were boring and confusing.

All Jora wants is to let her father live the rest of his life at home and on earth. So she agrees to become a bride to one of the other worlds men. Little does she know that she will be sent to a dragon world where she will meet her forbidden mate.

Dasquian has been dreaming of a woman for a very long time. But he knows he will probably never meet her. When a hundred woman is to be delivered to his plant for a mating ceremony which he is to be part of he feels that he will have to settle for what his father has decided for him. But when Jora comes out of the shuttle he is finally seeing his dream woman in real life.

This is a story about love and what will you do for it. If everyone is against you including your own body will the person you love still stand with you?

I really really enjoyed this story and hope to see more.

Emotional rollercoaster

I wasn't sure if I was going to like this book from reading the prologue. It wss kind of weird. It seemed like he didn't love his wife and child as much as he said he did. Then he ended up with a curse.

Then it goes to the future with Jora signing up to become a bride on another planet to save her fathers life. While there she meets Dasquian the man she has been dreaming about for almost a year. They aren't assigned to each other so they're forbidden to be together. This is where you get on that emotional rollercoaster.

I liked the story. It did have a good ending. It just felt like the evil is still waiting in the shadows to wreak havoc on the universe later.

This was an emotional rollercoaster. There was so much more going on behind the scenes than what I read. Dasquian and Jora are meant to be together but dragons and gods are against them. They don't know it yet, but they are cursed and their journey is not a smooth one. I love that there is a cool mix of sci fi and fantasy. I just wish there was more to the story.

This was a very interesting story from beginning to end. I love dragons and all things dragon like but the prologue set a different tone to this whole book. At times, I didn’t care for the heroine, she seemed more naive than most. But overall this was a good book. This probably will not be my favorite ‘dragon’ series but this was a refreshing story and I will be reading more from this author!

Overall: 3/5

DNF - quit at 64%
I feel I wasted my time trying to read this. I'm wishing I had quit earlier on when the notion first hit me that I was bored with the story (around the 30% point). Overall, I felt this book was a hot mess. The author took too many types of stories & combined them into one, trying to label it fantasy. Well, when you combine mythology, paranormal type shifters, and science fiction/space opera, it has to be treated carefully or it can go bad really fast. This just didn't work out in my opinion. I kept hoping that having dragon shifters, that it would improve, but no, it did not. The world building is minimal, which hurt things as much as the rest of the issues with the story. I just didn't get the background needed in order to understand what was going down & why. The characters are also flat, with the reader constantly being forcefully told that the MC are in love because of their dreamscape "togetherness". Those dreams consisted of her running thru a deadly garden maze trying to get to the him, with just a few minutes in each others presence without actually talking or touching or anything real towards building a relationship before waking. It just doesn't work. Readers don't like being told, they want to read it, experience it, feel it. I did not experience it. I didn't fall in love with the characters, I really didn't like them or care what happened to them. The author tried to not let info slip until last minute situations, keeping everything a big mystery. But the story needed more subtle reveals, to help pull a reader into the plot so they weren't so lost. I suspect the author was trying to keep things unpredictable, but instead alienated me as a reader.

At my age, life is to short & my time to important to force myself to read a book I'm not enjoying, especially when there are so many other books out there waiting to be read.

I love fantasy books and books with shape-shifters and/or dragons. Since this book had all the aspects I love and I liked Jenny Foster's writing style in the previous books I read, I had to give this book a try. In the end... I loved it!

From the mythology to the shape-sifting, this book combined some unique aspects of the fantasy genre into an all new world, with some vivid descriptions that not only called for our eyesight, but also our sense of smell and sound. That one of the things that made reading this book exciting.

The author's writing style brought to the plot some balanced drama, romance and mystery, side-by-side with all the fantasy elements that she putted in and that made the book have a fast pace, with some very adrenaline packing action scenes and twists and turns that made the journey intriguing, exciting and thrilling. And, of course, have "Oh My Goodness! I can't believe how amazing they are!" moments that left me sighing and wanting to read one page after the other, until the very end and still wish for more.

Dasquian was an amazing character that left me wonder what he would do next or how he would deal with each problem and danger that was on his way. Besides, he's a dragon shifter and that is something that has always fascinated me and that I need to look for in other books in the genre.

Although he really was one of my favorite character, and yes, I know he's the male main character, all the characters had personality traits that made me curious about them. Even the ones that were suppose to be the bad guys... I felt like the roles of each character in the storyline and the subsequently actions, made sense in the overall scheme and plot flow.

That been said, it's pretty obvious that I loved the story. I don't want to talk about particular aspects and scenes of the plot because I want you guys to get the full experience just like I did. But... I can tell you that it was 250 pages of an adventure marked by danger, suffering, trying to find happiness and freedom, and fighting for love. And seriously, that's what matters to me: the journey of two people fighting for their dreams and love.

Wow! What an heartfelt and wonderful love story between Dasquian and Jora and all their challenges along the way to find each other. My heart goes out to both of them that they can not be mates. They each make decisions to ensure the other ends up happy. When 3 goddess decide to interfere with the mating events do things get crazy. Dasquian decides he can not live without Jora and fights for a chance to have her. Jora has promised one of the goddess a favor when asked if she is given the chance to be with Dasquian and she takes it!

Jenny Foster Has once again produced another Action packed, edge of your seats, original story with bold characters that command your attention. This is another intense romance sci-fi book, complete with handsome Dragon-shifters from a planet named Cors with a woman from earth.. The acute, strong, extreme emotions wash over you as if they are your own. You can feel each order, each fear, each horror as Jenny Foster drags you away from reality into this fantasy Story that centres around an old curse by the fates themselves. Definitions of the planets surroundings and places the scenes take place in are all well executed but in no way distract from the storyline. I am honestly blown away by this authors imagination and creativity. I have read a few of her books now and have never been disappointed. Her words can tear me asunder, then lift me to the clouds. The descriptions of love cuts deep as it burns into your heart. You could take the most basic story out there, then sprinkle it with Jenny Foster and it would become a jewel in someone’s crown. I don’t like leaving spoilers therefore I’ve tried to describe how I feel about this authors writing skills. I would unequivocally Recommend This book and encourage you to also look At other books written of Jenny Foster

Well, this was a change to the normal paranormal shifter romance I've been reading. This one is darker, sadder almost. Due to a curse the dragon shifters are unable to find love. They start a program to get human women to marry them and bear their children. Dasquian is the son of the leader and is expected to be a certain way. Jora signs up for the program in order to have her ill, weekend l elderly father placed into a home where he'll be taken care of. The women are assigned to a dragon shifter by the leader but Dasquian KNOWS upon first session l seeing Jora that she's his. And vice versa, because they've been dreaming of each other for years. But they aren't assigned to each other and Jora's life is threatened if Dasquian goes against his father. This book becomes very angsty and it's kind of a slow burn. In the meantime the supporting characters become really unlikable. Dasquian is hard and stubborn. He's a complete alpha. Jora is extremely strong willed and not easily influenced by the dragons. She questions everything and Dasquian's father hates that. I kind of like the book but I'm not exactly sure why. It really was different but there's no happy moments, no laughter, it was just dark. Idk….

A DARK AND DELICIOUS READ!!!
Wow! I love, love, love this incredible soul searin tale with all the drama and intrigue. You have a heart pounding, action packed, fast paced, pulse racing, page turning, thrilling rollercoaster read that captivates from the start. All the twists and turns, ups and downs, along with a few glitches here and there make for one enjoyable experience. The characters and their personalities are so realistic and believable it feels like you can just reach out and touch them. The chemistry is white-hot, off the charts explosive. They each have traits and qualities that balance out and flows smoothly as their roles begin to unfold. The scenes are so vividly detailed it's easy to picture each scenario as it plays out perfectly. Jenny really nailed this bad boy and pulled this little jewel together beautifully. Fantastic job Jenny, thanks for sharing this little guy with us.

Jora is ready to sign up to become a mate to a dragon man across the universe in return to have her father live past his 50th year. She is leery since she has been dreaming of a black dragon and knows that she loves him. When she arrives on the planet Cors, she sees a male who looks like her male from her dream and when she sees his dragon she knows. Unfortunately Dasquian;s father gives Jora to Dasquian;s friend. But during the rite by fire, it;s discovered that Dasquian;s a Belial dragon. Then his sanvi helps the two of them. To be together, they both agree to owe a favor to his sanvi. Unbeknownst to Jora and Dasquian this is just a continuation of a curse put upon Dasquian in the ancient times. Now the two must break the curse.
From the first to the last page the action, both emotional and physical, enthralls you and keeps you into the story.

Dasquian - Claimed by the Black Dragon is a fantasy/sci-fi romance that is cloaked in a delicious darkness. It combines those elements as well as more than a nod to Greek Mythology into a story that is as heartbreaking as it is heartwarming. Our hero first makes an appearance in the Betania Breed world, but you don’t need to be familiar with him from there to understand and enjoy him and his story here. He is the hero with a darkness that is at the same time frightening and compelling. Jora our heroine is also a combination of strong and sassy and rebellious and resigned. She leaves for Cors to save her dad and literally finds the man of her dreams. By story’s end, some questions are answered and others remain unresolved. It is these unanswered questions that leave me hoping that we will hear more from Dasquien and Jora

WOW just WOW

If you like your heroes dark and a lot like bad boy with razor sharp teeth and wings you are going to love love love this dragon . A very fast paced and exciting shifter romance /action story that as been very well thought out with every aspect considered unlike many shifter stories when you have to suspend belief in action/reaction and consequences in order for the story to work this is a much clearer defined society. the heroine is super feisty a she needs to be if she isn't to be lost to the strength of the males around her Does it have hea? Well almost ……. at least for now

If you liked the Bittania breed series you will love this and if you haven't yet read that series enjoy this then go read more

What would you do for your love?
Anything and everything?
This story is thousands of years in the making and it is a brilliant tale to tell.
The fact that the three fates started this story and that sisterly bickering managed to cause such catastrophic events really shouldn't surprise me, but it did. I absolutely loved the journey we took with this book. From the very beginning I was gripped and I didnt put the book down.
I loved the characters and the story plot and the way that the story took you on an emotional roller coaster.
I hope you enjoy this book as much as I did. And I cannot wait for more from this new to me author. Thank you Jenny for a brilliant night of reading.

Jenny Foster’s Dasquian, Claimed by the Black Dragon is a rousing adventure and wonderfully perfect dragon shifter fantasy tale. Shor Dasquian will do anything for the woman he loves, even if he needs to becime invincible to do it. No mere goddess is going to stop him...and we readers get the fun of tagging along. Well plotted, well written and with well crafted lead and supporting characters. Really, what more could you ask for? But for the fact that I’m literally dictating this review to my husband from my hospital bed I could go on and on with praises - the book definitely deserves it. Since I can’t do that I will simply note that the book is most definitely one to read, and it is easy to highly recommend.

This is such a fantastic story and it’s amazing how love can change you as it did with Shor Dasquian. Dasquian and Jora have been having dreams about each other and when Jora has a chance to save her father live longer they travel to Cor and when she meets Dasquian sparks fly and all bets are off. But the fates have other ideas for these two and they both have to fight for their love especially with Dasquin’s father the king rejecting the idea of them being together so they both have to hide the love they have for each other. There is so much more to this story to keep you entertained and turning the pages and I loved every minute of it. A fantastic story a 5 plus ⭐️ read and I highly recommend this book it’s definitely well worth the read.

In romance stories, you know the guy always gets the girl. This story, however, makes one wonder. Will he get the girl? Will he be able to keep the girl?

I loved the flow of this story. I loved the twists. I constantly felt the need to continue reading - no matter how frustrated I became with the chancellor. I wanted to rip his throat out myself, but I don't think that would've been feasible.

I loved the inner strength exhibited by Jora. She never allowed herself to follow along blindly, but she did know when giving in was the best course of action. She proved the overwhelming power of true love.

The author made it easy to fall in love with Dasquian, but Jora will always be my favorite person.

Another great series with action, betrayal, desire and romance. I loved the storyline, it kept my interest from start to finish. The characters were intriguing. The dragons from Cors import 100 women from Earth in a breeding program. Dasquian’s personality darkens increasingly after the fire ceremony. His tremendous attraction to Jora goes against his father’s ruling and during the trials, chaos reigns. Can Jora help Dasquian keep his dark side from taking over? Will Dasquian be able to keep Jora safe? I am looking forward to seeing where this author will take us with this series.

I'm not sure if I can express how amazing the book is, I just know I fell in love with a book, with Dasquian, with Jora.
The Prologue is truly amazing...the birth of a dragon shifter that comes with a curse.
So it begins a story of a dragon and a human entwined by fate, curses, dark haunting romance, intrigue wrapped up in mysterious twists that will keep you on that edge we love so much.
The author Jenny Foster knows how to weave words that bring life to the pages, I trust and hope you enjoy this book as much I have....I can say without hesitation this was one of the best books I have read this year...highly recommended.

Dasquian is a dragon shifter but not a normal one. Jora is a human from earth who choose to go live on Cor to have her father live longer than the age of 50. She didn't know all the details of her new life but went along with it because he would stay alive. Dasquian and Jora a kept having dreams about each other but didn't believe that they would ever find each until they suddenly did. What did it mean were they suppose to be together? Was it fate or something else?
This book really good with lots of drama. Do you like paranormal books if so then you don't to miss reading this book.

I didn't know what to expect from Dasquian after meeting him earlier in the series, but wow! My heart melted for him. His story was beautifully told. He came across as cold and calculating before, but now I see that he wasn't a bad guy just served up some bad circumstances. The lengths he went to claim and protect his family were amazing. I hope there is more to come from him to tie together the man we meet here and the man we met in the previous book along with some much deserved happiness at the end. Lots of adventure, action, and hot steamy romance.

Jora is a young woman from Earth who joins a program to take human mates to dragon shifters on Cors. Jora and Dasquian have been dreaming of each other for months but are assigned different partners. There is a lot of drama on Cors involving Jora and Dasquian and turmoil among the dragons. The characters were engaging but I would have liked to know more about them outside of their relationship to one another.
