Falling for the Omega is book one in the Hobson Hills Omegas series by C.W. Gray. This is my first book by this author. In this alpha/omega world, omegas are looked down on. Often treated as less than, though not by everyone.
Carter Benson has just moved to Hobson Hill, Maine from Georgia. Carter was honorably discharged from the military after he lost part of his leg and suffered severe burns in an explosion. Now he has earned his plumbers license and is looking forward to getting his new business off the ground. He is renting a small trailer on the Wilson’s property and it’s on his way to work when the neighbor’s little five year old daughter comes out to greet him declaring him her new very best friend. But when her father comes out as well, Carter is instantly smitten. For some reason, neither of them seem to notice his scars!
Elijah Wilson was abandoned by his parents as an infant to be raised by his grandparents and other relatives because they didn’t want an omega. Elijah is extremely intelligent but in college, he got taken in my someone that he thought he loved and he ended up pregnant. After graduating, he went home to his grandparent’s farm where he grew up to raise his daughter. They have a good life but the town residents look down their noses at him, having a child as an unmarried omega.
The first time these two see each other, they are both taken with the other. They fall fast and hard. But just as they are finding their happiness together, Elijah’s parents, the same that abandoned him, are up to their evil ways again and Elijah, Carter and all of Elijah and Carter’s families band together to protect them.
What I enjoyed about this book was the way both of these families banded together to fight off Elijah’s horrible parents. And I mean, they were truly horrible. And I enjoyed how Carter just seemed to fit right in with all of Elijah’s bunch. But the story didn’t pull me in, I never really could connect with them as a couple. The alpha/omega stories I’ve read so far deal with the heat of the omega and the rut of the alpha but this didn’t have that. It was a quick read, though, and I did enjoy meeting these characters. Little Olive was just adorable. The next book in the series is called Snow Kisses for My Omega.

DNF @ 19%.
The story is pretty straight forward. It's very insta-love, you know the ex is gonna pop up at some point to cause drama. The characters are kind of bland and so is the writing, unfortunately.
There are a few editing issues, typos here and there... like "meet-cue" instead of "meet-cute".
But the thing that actually made this a DNF for me was Carter. Apparently, it was only 6 months ago that he was injured in action and lost his leg. Yet his prosthesis gives him no issues. I would have at least liked there to have been some mention of rehab, because I don't think it's as simple as getting your prosthesis and then you're good as new. I know there can be fitting issues and that rehabilitation can take a while. And somehow Carter is a plumber after having done "plumping internships during the summer". First, it's "apprenticeship". Second, you can't get enough hours during the summer. It takes a few years to get enough hours to become a journeyman in the trades... and Carter joined the military after high school and was there until he lost his leg, so when did he have time to log his hours?

Elijah had been left by his alpha pregnant so he raised Olive on his own with the help of his family. After being injured during active duty, Carter is ready start his new life away from his family. When he meets a sweet little girl who proclaims they’re going to be bff’s forever then her sweet omega dad, he knows they are his destiny.
This was another sweet one. Elijah and Carter are perfect together each accepting the other as they are. Just a sweet easy read with a little angst thrown in.

WTF did not finish.
Ok, Iove books in the Omega universe, and I understand you have to dispense reality to be able to accept men can have babies. But this book was so far out of reality I could not finish it.
First, who meets someone and falls head over heels in less than 24 hours?
2nd, what freshman in high school drives?
3rd, who graduates high school at 15 and gets an MBA to buy 18? It's impossible!
The list of stupid things in this book goes on and on, so much that it takes away from the story, which is not that great, to begin with.
I stopped reading when the 18-year-old brother who went deaf after the war, came back to be put in a mental institute only to be taken out less than 6 months later being able to perfectly read lips., .. mind you he was in a coma for those 6 months... lazy writing.

4.5 hilarious stars.
It’s been a long time since I had a book make me giggle. Olive, Elijah’s five-year-old daughter, was hilarious. The kid didn’t have a shy bone in her little body. But then again, neither did her dad. I’m a sucker for kids in books anyway, but my favorites are always the ones who make me laugh.
Elijah is a single omega dad. The alpha who impregnated him is spoken of simply as he-who-must-not-be-named. This is all Olive’s ever heard about her other dad.
A conversation she had with Carter the first time he came over for dinner about how babies are born and how she’s convinced she knows who her other daddy is -
Single omega dads are frowned upon pretty much everywhere. Elijah lives in a nice Maine town surrounded by most of his family. Even so, he’s still gossiped about all the time, with some even blatantly calling him a whore.
Carter has just moved from Georgia to Maine after getting his plumber’s license. He comes from an extremely wealthy family who doesn’t understand why he didn’t move back to the South after he was injured and discharged from the Army a few months before.
I’m going to go ahead and throw this out there – this was extremely unrealistic. No way would he have been as up and about with his new prosthesis as he was in this book. Not after only 6 months. There would be therapies and other medical procedures needed, including for the burns and scarring on his body. Even so, I overlooked all that and went with the story.
Carter comes from a family of lawyers, including two brothers, Cain and Caden.
Carter and Elijah meet not long after Carter moves into a small dwelling on Elijah’s grandparents’ property almost next door to Elijah. The meeting starts with Olive sneaking over and meeting ‘her new best friend’ (Carter) outside. This had me laughing right off. The kid is a blast.
Elijah, freaking out about not being able to find Olive, shows up and is gobsmacked when he sees Carter. He doesn’t see the scars. He sees a gorgeous man that he wants to get to know. Before the conversation ends, they have a dinner date at Elijah and Olive’s scheduled for later that evening and this is where their relationship starts.
I LOVED Elijah’s nosy, crazy family. I loved them all except for his horrible parents. They no longer live in town but that doesn’t stop them from blackmailing Elijah’s grandparents for money, something they’ve apparently done for years after they dumped Elijah off with them shortly after he was born because he was a so-called ‘lowly omega’. Now they’ve gone after Elijah’s nineteen-year-old brother who was just discharged from the military on a medical discharge and they’re going after Olive.
This is when things start to take a somewhat serious turn. Carter and Elijah have only been seeing each other for about a month when the threats are made known. It was total insta-love so they already know they plan to spend their lives together. In order to hopefully get rid of Elijah’s horrid parents once and for all, Carter does something he never thought he’d do – he contacts his attorney brothers, who in turn contact his parents. They all swoop in and get the ball rolling legally on making sure Elijah’s parents are taken care of and out of Elijah and Olive’s lives for good. First, they have to get his brother (Noah) out of a facility that he’s been admitted to against his will so his parents can maybe get access to his VA benefits.
I adored Carter’s family, especially his mother. I went into this expecting a snobby woman who doesn’t approve of Carter or his profession (he’s a plumber, they’re all attorneys). He has a trust fund that he doesn’t use. I’d assumed he moved away from Georgia to get away from the family who were likely smothering. What I got instead was an amazing mother who fell in love with Elijah and Olive right off. Not just that, she made a quickie, themed wedding (Star Wars, of course) happen in a matter of hours for Elijah and Carter. I also found myself really liking Carter’s father and two older brothers. The brothers (Cain and Caden) are a bit stuffy but don’t stay that way long. All it takes is meeting Olive and they’re instantly doting uncles.
Elijah’s parents don’t go down without a big fight and they don’t stop with trying to extort money from his grandparents. They cross a line when they have someone come after Carter and then later, Olive.
I’ll stop there.
This is seriously one of the most entertaining books I’ve read in a very long time. Olive was adorable and kept me laughing, as did some of the other characters. Elijah and Carter are as different as night and day but perfect for each other.
A few things did bug me, though. Y’ALL is spelled YA’LL both times it’s said in the book. As a true southerner, things like that drive me nuts. Also, around the 30% mark the words ‘alpha’ and ‘his alpha’ and ‘my alpha’ was used so many times within a couple of pages I started rolling my eyes. Also, 'meet cute' changed to 'meet cue' pretty much in the same sentence.
Even so, I loved the book. I can’t wait to read the others in the series.

Fuck me.
You know what's real fucking good? Just good fucking shit?
Resolution.
Things coming together in a way that gives you some element of catharsis. Good catharsis. Bad catharsis. Catharsis that makes you a bit itchy and uncomfortable.
Bits and bops getting somewhat of a stamp of finality. This is the last moment we'll have with the thing. This is where we determine the level of heart we carve out of ourselves. Personally, I think the final part of a thing is always the most relevant and important aspect of it. That final part can come anywhere too. It doesn't have to be the actual ending. It just have to show up at one point. (Or have its disappearing act be the catharsis in and of itself.) Shit can be good is what I'm saying to you.
But you know.
You know what makes resolution so tasty?
Fucking buildup. Shit that leads to a resolution. The foundation for for the goddamn payoff. Resolution without buildup feels grubby. An entire book of resolutions without anything approaching a second of buildup?
Chaos!!! Abject chaos! Now, I goddamn fuck with chaos. Like. Until the walls of the room start to fucking fester. But the chaos has to be purposeful or masterfully composed in its unpurpose.
That is not the case here. This book is a carousel of characters all getting thrown onstage to make one quip or remind everyone of some past event we never fully see. People just teleport into frame in this book. Things just happen and happen and happen and happen and happen in this book. There's no buildup or tethering. There's just NONSTOP SHIT GOING ON AT ALL TIMES, BABY!
This could be a lot of fun. I love a good ass barrel roll of stupid. One of my favorite books of all time is Dead Astronauts, and one of my favorite shows of all time is Flavor of Love. I can handle fast pace catapults into the vast waters of nonsense. I gave Saha a fucking 5/5, and most of that shit was nonsense.
Again. I'm a degenerate that likes to be yanked away with no reason. It is why I was somewhat pumped to read some good old mpreg. Shit is not new to me, and I've seen many a trashy story set within this genre. I grew up reading and writing goddamn Teen Wolf fanfic, so I know the absolute nadir that mpreg and alpha/beta/gamma/omega can fester into.
Which is why I feel somewhat chuffed up enough to make a stupid ass proclamation.
This book started off as fanfiction. Of what? Fuck if I know, friends. Maybe of nothing. But this was absolutely a fanfic of something. Maybe even another fanfic. I 10000000% has the smell of a fanfic.
And I will pause right now to spell something out. Fanfic, in and of itself, is not inherently bad. the Bible is just a collection of Mesopotamian stories the church thought would fit into their own ABO universe. Shakespeare literally wrote fanfic as a job. Romeo and Juliet and Tristan and Iseult are basically cousins. There's nothing wrong about the existence of fanficiton. Sure, I think there is something quite rank how women will often use queer men to live out some sad, straight nonsense only this time with the aforementioned queer men instead. Read enough fanfic, and you'll start realizing that a huge chunk of it is internal misogyny being worked through. Especially when you start throwing in the ABO universe stuff.
Now, I don't think this book is particularly within that minefield. (Although, the book feel aggressively straight in the sense that it was 100% not made for queer men to read or consume as the primary audience. It's just a nice little benefit if we participate. [A fact that aggravates my acid reflux.]) However, it absolutely has all the time honored traditions of something you'd find on AO3 with a lot more comments that it should have.
1) Everything is 122205% paced at all times. In order to keep the crew entertained, every chapter has to push the story in some new, odd, exciting direction. The girlies ain't gonna stick with your story if there's another one with bigger pecs. You gotta have the thickest fucking pecs on the goddamn bloc. So, shit has to happen every single second. There's no need to a lot of buildup because surprise! The original author did all of that already. I ain't gotta do much with Harry Potter because we all know the details. If I just throw in a line or two that vaguely connects to the original text, you'll make the connections yourself. That's the beauty of fanfiction. You don't have to do much with backstory since you can just rely on the audience to do most of the heavy lifting. Sure, there are some interesting fanfics out there do a nice job of examining a character from a new angle, but those are not the majority. People want fluff (both the warm kind and the DARK, EDGY kind). They aren't asking for much. And they really shouldn't.
2) Everyone is quirky, quippy, and containing at least one defining character traits. This makes it easier to not have to actually write characters. You can just introduce Thick Nipple Kevin, and mention his love of flamingos there. After that, just repeat any of the words in that last heathen sentence, and you are good to go. Thick Nipple Kevin needs no depth to him. There's no need for Thick Nipple Kevin to be the ocean when all you need is a kiddy pool with a big ass pool in the middle of it. The issue with this is that you end up creating this gargantuan cult of characters that don't matter beyond whatever odd role the story needs them for that very second. So, Thick Nipple Kevin+Smelly Tooth Marge+Straight Mime Brad+Sole Black Guy Amos only exist to remind the reader that other people live in this town. Or move to this town. Or are in the process of moving into this town. Or fucking got slapped into an mental health hospital against their will by their parents after they lost their hearing in the war, but then got over all of that in the span of ten minutes because a brother they haven't seen in five years is getting married to a big dicked alpha man. Stuff like that. They are just there to fill a quota or take up space. And they all gotta get one liners in because that's what you do when writing fanficion. You are a funny person writing this funny story, so you gotta prove that. (Again. I wrote fanfic. I did all of this shit. I am not removed from my own criticisms.) These are not characters in the sense that they are fully developed for weighty. They are cupboard cutouts with one or two sentences drawn in Sharpie around their mouths.
3) Little thought given to the overall flow of the story. When you write fanfic on a chapter by chapter basis, it can be very easy to lose the big picture of everything. You get too trapped by a desire to introduce new events or characters that you forget that there needs to be shit connecting all of those things. As ai mentioned in the first point, there is no background in this book. Things just happen. We're told about the pasts of the two main characters, but we never truly see it in action. Things just happen, and the Budgets Avengers assemble to just knock them out of the way. The main characters just seem to be all the traits associated with Aplahs and Omegas with flesh graphed onto them. They don't really move outside of those markers. They don't develop or growth. There's a lot of static in this book that won't just sit the fuck down holy shit please God. The book is called Falling for the Omega, but that happens page fucking three? There's no courtship here. There's not dating or buildup. Insta-Love is something popular in fanfic, but again. If I'm looking to see Stiles and Derek lovingly nut in each other (AS ADULTS IN AN ALTERNATIVE UNIVERSE, OK?), I don't really need to have that much established or built up. I got the show and the rest of the AO3 to act as a sort of headcanon. Remove all of that? Remove that foundation? Girl, I don't know what I'm supposed to be going back to. You can't just tell me that Alpha (I can't remember his name) lost his leg six months ago, but everything is cool guys. He was physically rehabilitated real quick. Am I just supposed to make up my own history for him then? Sure, we get info about this family and whatnot, but they are 100% wrapped up in the issues from point two. So, what do you do when you wrapped up a story that never actually make it into the full novel? I don't know. How about how he get literally everyone else in the novel to do the heavy lifting when it comes to the second plot? What do you do when you wrote a romance novel and have said romance finalize by page 30? I don't know. Spend the next 110 pages crafting more and more elaborate set pieces that don't matter by the end? If you name you book after the act of falling in love, why would you do the thing a fourth of the way through the book? The thing that gives your characters the development and weight they desperately need? I'm not asking for the stars here. I fuck with those stickers from Walmart. But you gotta go out and buy then. You gotta go fucking out of the home and pick them up. That doesn't happen here. This is a romance novel, but the romance ain't popping. This is a story of two men falling in love, but that happens offscreen. So, the rest of the novel bends over backwards to craft something that will keep the audience going. Something that has fuck all to do with EITHER of the main characters until the very end? It's just exhausting.
Again, I'm not angry with the book. I think it is cute and does whatever it wants to do. There is something to be commended by that, and the author seems like a nice person. They are out there getting their jush writing, and I ain't gonna fight them on that. But, I didn't like this one bit. There's nothing really for me here. I've seen this story done before (better) in every fanfic I have ever suffered through.
I guess my final emotion is frustration. I think this could have been a fun little whatever of a read. Yet, it doesn't really go anywhere while it gets everywhere. It's a book that really wants you to fully believe in the love between a sexy lamp and the outlet it plugs into. It is a book that moves at breakneck pace, but never actually seems to cross the starting line. It is a book that spends SO MUCH TIME criticizing the town for slutshaming the main character, only for the end of the book to revolve around slutshaming (positively) his mom? The true slut was you all along, mom!
And if that ain't some feral fanfic shit.
You know what's real fucking good? Just good fucking shit?
Resolution.
Things coming together in a way that gives you some element of catharsis. Good catharsis. Bad catharsis. Catharsis that makes you a bit itchy and uncomfortable.
Bits and bops getting somewhat of a stamp of finality. This is the last moment we'll have with the thing. This is where we determine the level of heart we carve out of ourselves. Personally, I think the final part of a thing is always the most relevant and important aspect of it. That final part can come anywhere too. It doesn't have to be the actual ending. It just have to show up at one point. (Or have its disappearing act be the catharsis in and of itself.) Shit can be good is what I'm saying to you.
But you know.
You know what makes resolution so tasty?
Fucking buildup. Shit that leads to a resolution. The foundation for for the goddamn payoff. Resolution without buildup feels grubby. An entire book of resolutions without anything approaching a second of buildup?
Chaos!!! Abject chaos! Now, I goddamn fuck with chaos. Like. Until the walls of the room start to fucking fester. But the chaos has to be purposeful or masterfully composed in its unpurpose.
That is not the case here. This book is a carousel of characters all getting thrown onstage to make one quip or remind everyone of some past event we never fully see. People just teleport into frame in this book. Things just happen and happen and happen and happen and happen in this book. There's no buildup or tethering. There's just NONSTOP SHIT GOING ON AT ALL TIMES, BABY!
This could be a lot of fun. I love a good ass barrel roll of stupid. One of my favorite books of all time is Dead Astronauts, and one of my favorite shows of all time is Flavor of Love. I can handle fast pace catapults into the vast waters of nonsense. I gave Saha a fucking 5/5, and most of that shit was nonsense.
Again. I'm a degenerate that likes to be yanked away with no reason. It is why I was somewhat pumped to read some good old mpreg. Shit is not new to me, and I've seen many a trashy story set within this genre. I grew up reading and writing goddamn Teen Wolf fanfic, so I know the absolute nadir that mpreg and alpha/beta/gamma/omega can fester into.
Which is why I feel somewhat chuffed up enough to make a stupid ass proclamation.
This book started off as fanfiction. Of what? Fuck if I know, friends. Maybe of nothing. But this was absolutely a fanfic of something. Maybe even another fanfic. I 10000000% has the smell of a fanfic.
And I will pause right now to spell something out. Fanfic, in and of itself, is not inherently bad. the Bible is just a collection of Mesopotamian stories the church thought would fit into their own ABO universe. Shakespeare literally wrote fanfic as a job. Romeo and Juliet and Tristan and Iseult are basically cousins. There's nothing wrong about the existence of fanficiton. Sure, I think there is something quite rank how women will often use queer men to live out some sad, straight nonsense only this time with the aforementioned queer men instead. Read enough fanfic, and you'll start realizing that a huge chunk of it is internal misogyny being worked through. Especially when you start throwing in the ABO universe stuff.
Now, I don't think this book is particularly within that minefield. (Although, the book feel aggressively straight in the sense that it was 100% not made for queer men to read or consume as the primary audience. It's just a nice little benefit if we participate. [A fact that aggravates my acid reflux.]) However, it absolutely has all the time honored traditions of something you'd find on AO3 with a lot more comments that it should have.
1) Everything is 122205% paced at all times. In order to keep the crew entertained, every chapter has to push the story in some new, odd, exciting direction. The girlies ain't gonna stick with your story if there's another one with bigger pecs. You gotta have the thickest fucking pecs on the goddamn bloc. So, shit has to happen every single second. There's no need to a lot of buildup because surprise! The original author did all of that already. I ain't gotta do much with Harry Potter because we all know the details. If I just throw in a line or two that vaguely connects to the original text, you'll make the connections yourself. That's the beauty of fanfiction. You don't have to do much with backstory since you can just rely on the audience to do most of the heavy lifting. Sure, there are some interesting fanfics out there do a nice job of examining a character from a new angle, but those are not the majority. People want fluff (both the warm kind and the DARK, EDGY kind). They aren't asking for much. And they really shouldn't.
2) Everyone is quirky, quippy, and containing at least one defining character traits. This makes it easier to not have to actually write characters. You can just introduce Thick Nipple Kevin, and mention his love of flamingos there. After that, just repeat any of the words in that last heathen sentence, and you are good to go. Thick Nipple Kevin needs no depth to him. There's no need for Thick Nipple Kevin to be the ocean when all you need is a kiddy pool with a big ass pool in the middle of it. The issue with this is that you end up creating this gargantuan cult of characters that don't matter beyond whatever odd role the story needs them for that very second. This was just pure fluff! It was super fast paced and felt like a full out sprint at times. The plot was a little all over the place and a little wacky. With all that said, this was enjoyable to the very last little bit. It was kind of the book equivalent of a bag of chips and I can’t wait for the next one. Falling For The Omega is getting three and a half stars.

Not quite 4 stars but I'm rounding up because I was pleasantly surprised by how much I liked it.
Yes, the story was pretty similar to many other ABO tales, but the characterization was exceptionally well done given how short the book was. And considering how many side characters were introduced, probably due to how many were significant to the plot, it wasn't overly confusing. I'm going to assume many of them will factor into future installments...and put the next one on the TBR.
Also, Philip Fairbanks did an EXCEPTIONAL job on the narration. As usual I did have to jack the playback up to 1.25x speed, but even so the performance was engaging. I don't know if he came by that Southern accent naturally or what, but it was pretty flawless...not forced or put-on. That always scores extra points from me. I only see this title linked to him but I really, REALLY hope he narrates more.

Sweet story with no angst. I’ve just been in the mood lately to read sweet love stories, and this one certainly fits. Everything goes so smoothly, but that’s just what I was in the mood for. My friends on Goodreads know I love dark hardcore BDSM books, but I also love sweet love stories. If you’re looking for a sweet easy read. This book is for you. It has lots of insta love and HEA.

Grumpy and the Tramp
Short and very simple, low-steam romance of a scarred veteran and his insta-love with the tainted (single father) omega fighting small-town problems of gossiping scheming, jealous, greedy omega-hate.
I read a/b/o stories (omegaverse settings with alpha/beta/omega genders) primarily for escapist fluff, as a majority have diverting (and usually pleasingly sappy) romances, and frivolous but enjoyably relaxing escapes. For me, this one takes the fluffiness of quick and pat plot resolutions to levels I usually don't usually see, surpassing the typical "light candy for the mind" all they way past marshmallow fluff to the point where sometimes it felt like cotton candy might be more substantial.
Actually, the basic character and plot outlines were potentially interesting, but the exposition of almost every development was extremely thin (insta-love, almost all potentially interesting conflict resolved within a few lines of dialog, most solutions working quickly/immediately and/or almost perfectly, etc.). While not uncommon in some of the lighter/more prolific authors in this genre, clearly this quick and simple pace did not resonate with me as much as other reviewers.

Update: After reading the whole series once already, I've have embraced the unrealistic crazy insta-love that is basically what this series is all about. So on the re-read of this series I am increasing my rating to a 4.

The suspension of disbelief that was needed to read this story was astronomical. There were so many things that couldn’t happen in reality and I’m not even talking about the ability of men getting pregnant. I’m not one who is a stickler for books to mirror the real world, but this book was way too over the top even for me. Still, I enjoyed the characters and loved the animals. I wish the author had taken a bit of time to develop the love between the two MCs but thought they went well together. At the end of the day, I did enjoy it and will probably read more set in this universe.

Am I missing something that everyone else seems to be seeing?
From all the 4 and 5 star reviews I thought I was going to get a cute, amusing little read.
What I ended up with is a story that I've had to abandon at the 20% mark.
While the characters had potential, the writing felt a bit awkward to me, and though I tend to be all for insta-love, this fell decidedly flat. I suppose I should've known it'd all go downhill when I noticed the author has used 'wondering' instead of 'wandering'.
I might try and finish this before my Amazon Unlimited trial runs out, but, honestly, I won't be particularly bothered if I don't get round to it.

Feels like a first attempt
Elements of the story were good but the overall plot was too insta-love with little world building. The editing was shoddy with missing, wrong, and misspelled words and punctuation. It took far too long to read as it never really grabbed my attention. The sex scenes were lack lustre so I wouldn’t even say read for that fact. The ending was anti climatic

He had taken over his grandparents old house when they wanted to go smaller and his daughter was growing up. However most of the town folk were not happy with him. They called him names and treated him like crap but for the most part he just took it in stride. Then his daughter introduced him to their new neighbor and he was caught.
Carter’s family was never happy with him. He studied to be a plumber and joined the military. When an accident happened he lost friends as well as his leg. He had burns on one side of his face and down his arm, but he was doing better than most. When he moved to Maine he didn’t think anything would change. However when a little girl shows up, hands him a goody basket and claims that he is her best friend, well damn things were going to be looking up. Then he meets her father and he is sold.
Life is going to be good, until Elijah’s parents showed up and shit hit the fan. It will take the whole town to help keep them safe, but in reality it will just take his alpha. This is one of those alpha and omega stories where the omega can get pregnant. It is also one of those where even though they are alpha and omegas, they are completely human. Which is not normally one of my favorite types but this author manages to make it stand out. I love the action packed, a bit of danger, excitement, cute animals that is in this story. It has so much humor mixed in that I love.
I enjoyed it quite a bit and can’t wait to get started on the next book. It will be one of those that will be read more than once.

I like the way the story progressed at times but other times it felt too fast. Elliott's family was a riot and caused many laughs. You have two men who are judged by others for being who they are and what they have been through. It shocked me how cruel some of the townspeople were in their gossip.
All in all it was heartfelt story with plenty of emotions and love. Good read.

I liked it a lot; good series.
This is the first book in the Hobson Hills Omegas series but I listened to it after book 2 and it was fine listening to them out of order. It's the first one I've listened to narrated by Philip Fairbanks and I liked his voice.
I love to listen to uncomplicated, short audiobooks when I'm working around the house and this fit the bill perfectly. The story didn't require intense concentration and listening to it was a very pleasant way to spend an afternoon doing laundry.
While not too complicated, there was a bit of a mystery bad guy that kept things interesting. I really enjoyed the voices that Philip Fairbanks did for little Olive and the other female characters.
I plan to keep following this series.

DNF @ 44%. I've been reading m/m books for many years now. Surprised that I hadn't heard of this author before who was a #1 best seller on Amazon, I decided to check out one of her books using my Kindle Unlimited account. And my only thought was -- did this author buy fake positive reviews? Did her publishers inflate the number of people checking out her work? Or, are that many readers lowering their standards? I'm honestly baffled.
This book is bad. The plot holes are many. The MC's are woefully under-developed and there are so many leaps in the plot that It's downright shocking. It's takes a lot for me to not respect and author enough to finish a book but I'm doing so in this case. Avoid!

So this books was way too rushed. I do like Insta-love if it’s done well but come on, offering someone to have him (not in a sexual way) on the first day of meeting...?!?!? WTH
The story didn’t got slower from there. Everything happened super fast. Also everything was always good there was a little Drama but it was overwhelmed by all the good stuff.
However even thought this was bad in so many ways I can’t deny that I still kind of enjoyed the read. There was so much fluff and I can see myself reading the second book in the series too, since they are such short reads.
Oh and one thing I liked was the little bit of diversity, that was nice, even thought there could have been much much more depth to that.

June 20, 2022This was your typical super sweet omegaverse with some outside drama but no relationship angst at all. The relationship is love at first sight and all the fluff that comes with that. I would not say I enjoyed it but I finished it so there so that 🤷🏻♀️

Cute insta love feel good book. When you find a mate with a big loving family, it can bean everything when you are a lone and broken. This was a feel good where everyone gets along, the villains are taken care of and you ride off into the sun set. I liked it but I missed some of my classic omegaverse themes. I miss the knots, the mating the scenting. Good story

I feel mixed about this book. I feel like there were a lot of characters introduced in a short amount of time and the tension didn't really have me at the edge of my seat. I also felt like one page the main chatters met and the next page their married and have a child on the way. On the other hand, I liked all the cute, romantic moments between e characters. The book has potential.
