While parenting won't look the same anymore, it isn't over yet. Your kid still needs you. Eighteen Plus is a guide to help you parent in this new unfamiliar phase. You will discover...
This is a practical book to help parents as they transition with their children. Being the parent of an adult child takes practice and advice just as for new parents and parents at each stage of parenting. The challenge for me is to stop reminding my children of their To Dos and let them learn life lessons without being a helicopter parent. The book is faith-based, but I think all parents who have adult children could learn much from this short book. I could identify with much the authors reflected on and reported on from research as I parent three young adults.
Some great advice, especially during a phase when I'm struggling with letting my boys take flight, wondering when and how family time will occur, attempting not to smother Several pages bookmarked to reference later
If you are the parent of an emerging adult (18 plus) I highly recommend you read this book. If you are about to be the parent of an emerging adult I highly recommend you read this book!
