This year I set a challenge for myself to read at least two books written by authors that are new to the publishing world or just not to "ME" every month. I found a few real gems last year following this challenge and so I wanted to carry it through to 2019, and this book was a perfect example of why I love doing this challenge so much.
This book was SO good, not perfect, but it came pretty damn close. The writing was excellent. It was well paced. The plot was engaging. It was heartbreaking. It was dark(ish). It was sweet. It was sexy. I wouldn't say it was over the top angsty, but both Hope and Leo have very dark and tragic pasts. It was pretty insta attraction. There wasn't any OW or OM drama. It only had one secondary character (Jackson), and I ADORED him, and both main characters were very likable.
The only two small issues I had with it, was, I wanted more details of Leo's dark side. When he went to take care of these individuals, I wanted the scenes to be a bit more developed. I am going to chalk this up to the fact that I read some really dark books, so the scenes in this book came across a bit glossed over. However, if you are not a lover of super dark books, then this one will be perfect for you. My other issue was I felt like the ending was rushed. I was 94% into this one and thought for sure this was going to end on a cliffhanger because they hadn't even dealt with the "baddie" yet. Since this doesn't end on a cliffhanger it felt a little too easy and the resolution a bit too anti-climatic.
Overall though It was a cracking book read, and yours truly is giving it two thumbs up!

Not a lighthearted read at all...
I was completely captivated by the author’s writing. She efficiently delivered a very emotional and dark romantic story, that touched my heart very deeply.
Two broken souls, one more broken than the other.
Both Hope and Leo had been separately abused from a young age, and went through horrific and tragic times.
Although they led completely dissimilar lives as they grew up, those two people were meant to meet and heal each other step by step as to reach their hea.
“The connection we have is so pure, so true, so emotional, and so powerful, that no matter what it will never break.” Leo
It was a heartbreaking yet beautiful love story, dealing with hope, faith, trust, healing, revenge, strength and redemption.
I would have been thrilled if Leo’s background was more developed and if the ending was not so rushed and wrapped up.
I hope the author releases the story of Leo’s friend, Jackson!! 🙏

Wow! I loved this story! Hope....that is all she has is hope. Until one day when Leo shows up and makes her his. Leo has never worried about a woman in his life. All he wants is revenge. Until he meets Hope. Hope and Leo have a unique connection, one that is even bigger than they know and it is something Hope has never had in life and something Leo has never wanted. This story is dark and gritty. It will take you on a psychological ride that you won’t want to end! Amazing book!!

The previous books I’ve read by this author I’ve loved so I had no hesitation in reading this.
Leo and Hope are two amazing characters. Both are broken but they are also strong. When fate intervenes and bring these two together can they help each other. My heart broke for these two and I was so rooting for them to find their own peace and happiness.
Not a light read so be warned and there could be triggers for some people. I absolutely loved it and can’t wait to read more from this author.

wow i wanted to cry reading this book! they are two broken souls brought together by fate. both were abused when younger. both are free no or they seem to think so. you must read to find out what happens. you wont believe what happens.

This is my second book by Pavan Kaur and after reading the first book I knew that she was an author that I wanted to keep on reading. She has a unique way with her stories that reach out to you in ways in which you’d never expect, they have the power to make people connect with the stories as they have that personal touch that not a lot of books tend to have. For me, I found this book to be quite enjoyable and also pretty dark, but I think that it worked out pretty well. The plot was easy to follow at times, but other than that I didn’t see anything to fault with the plot, the characters were quite strong and likeable and being honest I think that Pavan did a good job with this book. If you’ve not checked out her work, then be sure to do so and better yet, try this book and see what you think. I know I’ll be reading more of her work after this one.

Fast forward years later, and she does what she can to get by, however with having to look constantly over her shoulder, she fears that she will never break free from everything that she’s running from, until she ends up meeting someone who shares a connection with her. Kaur isn’t a new author to me. I’ve read almost every single one of her book. She’s a great author & draws you into her books.
This book was really great. This book is gritty & you will be drawn in from the beginning. Leo & Leo have been through so much. To see how they struggle through & come out on the other side is something you don’t want to miss.

I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book. When I finished this book, I was speechless, I had no words and to try to draft a review was not going to be easy. Leo and Hope are two broken souls, one hiding from the past and one in search of the person who destroyed his life. When Leo stumbles upon Hope he’s drawn to her and he can’t explain it, he wants to help her. Hope has been hiding from the one man who destroyed her life, broke her, and she thinks that Leo is there to return her to him. Little does she know Leo is just like her, broken, abused, angry and out for revenge on the man who did all this to him. The difference between these two is that Leo wasn’t alone he had Jackson, and Hope has been on her own. She’s scared and not sure what to think, she’s been programmed to act a certain way, she’s not sure how to handle the situation that Leo has put her in. I’m going to stop there, no spoilers, this is a story that is a must read, you can’t pass this up. Leo and Hope’s story is one for the ages, it’s compelling, gripping, heart breaking, gut wrenching, you will feel every emotion between them, it’s twisted and once you learn the truth everything you thought you knew will be blown out of the water. I loved this book, one of my favorites for 2019 and will be recommending this story to everyone that I can.

A very emotional story that will have your heart breaking from the start . Hope has had a tramatic past and is trying to get through life by being invisible but still suffering so much . Leo has lead a similar past but managed to survive through and come out strong although he still bearing the scars. Hope is running and hiding from the person that can take her right back to a life that she won't survive while Leo and his beat friend Jackson are searching for the person that made their life hell !
As soon as Leo sets eyes on Hope he is drawn to her even without actually being able to see her! He knows she needs help and wants to save her but what he doesn't realise is that she may also be able to save him too.
I really felt all the emotions through out this book and was left with a warm heart at the end of one hell of a journey . Brilliantly written with characters that you will fall in love with .

This book is a very special.
The theme is hard, but also something new. I haven't rrlead like this yet.
Unfortunately these things really happen and I cannot imagine what these kids go through.
Leo is a very strong character. I admire him. After everything that he went through he still stands tall and fights for what he wants and what he believes in.
I was so happy when he found Hope. At the time we really didn't know anything about him, but I had a good feeling about him.

I was lucky enough to beta read this book and I must say, it is so different to anything else I have read. Some of the story is just so heartbreaking. I really felt for all of the characters within the walls of this book. Well everyone except for the bad guys.
The characters are well written and have their own emotional story. When they find each other the healing for each of them begins. This is definitely one for your tbr. Some of the themes of this book may Be a trigger for some, but all in all this book is a really great read.

What Hope, Leo and Jackson went through as children and Hope into adulthood is just well there is no words for how horrible it was.
Leo I loved him, the way he was with Hope... so sweet and patient. It took her awhile to trust him but it was beautiful.
I don't want to say too more, cus I don't to put any spoilers... Pavan Kaur is a new author to me and I really enjoyed her writing style. I'll definitely be picking up another book from her.

A wonderful book that addresses a subject matter of childhood abuse for both Leo and Hope. Their paths cross by fate, allowing them to heal. Leo understands well how Hope has suffered and lives in fear. They each have darkness to exorcise. The author did a fabulous job of allowing me to understand the depravity they experienced without the gory details, which I very much appreciated. This is a must read!

What did i just read!!! This is a amazing read that i have no words to explain how i feel about this book. I will warn you if you have triggers please dont read!! But if you love the dark reads that take you on many twisted rides of up and downs, and can see that love can be their when you have never see love before. This is a very emotional ride that will have you hooked from the very beginning to the very ending. The words just aren’t enough to express how i feel about this book other then i hope their is more to this amazing story and that I’ve had a major book hangover!!! If you love dark read this is a must read for you.

There is so much to say about this one. Gripping extremely intense from beginning to end. Pavan blew me away with this one. Two people who barely survived their past brought together to heal each other. I loved the chemistry I loved the storyline. There were times I got teary eyed reading about what Hope goes through. Her character is absolutely amazing. How strong she is and how she overcomes everything with hope and light. Just so well written. I hope we get Jackson's story as I feel there is definitely something going on with him. Pavan did an amazing job writing this one .Highly recommend.

Broken Glass was a well written and emotionally draining story. Leo and Hope come together because of a physical pull towards each other. And neither of them can figure out why they are drawn to each other except that both have had terrible, dark pasts and they both are looking for some light in the darkness.

This one i have very mixed feeling about.
I really liked the storyline in some parts but not in others because i felt that one minute it was going great and then the next it changed direction to go a different way which had me scrolling back going wait! what? did i miss something?
The storyline was good enough to keep me interested and keep me reading the book so that is a good thing but there is a lot of unanswered questions now floating through my that were not answered and Hope has been through a lot but you kinda have to guess what most of that is.
Good book just would have liked a little more background and a lot less jumping from train of thought i guess
Would Leo be my book boyfriend? emmm no he's a little to psyco for my tastes lol

Leo was young when he was taken, finding himself thrust into a world of horror. As he got older, he vowed revenge on those that hurt him and the boy who became his brother.
When Hope and Leo come together, a world of dark and twisted crimes rise to the surface, and that's when Leo knows that as well as finding the ones who took him, there's one last thing he must do... End the ones who tormented Hope; setting her free once and for all.
This book was filled with emotional scenes and ones that can be difficult to read. Even though they're not graphic in nature, Pavan has written it in a way that you know exactly what happened without it actually being said.

Well what can I say about this book apart from Wow, Wow,Wow it was amazing seriously Pavan you should be incredibly proud of yourself it couldn’t of been easy to write but wow you did it and seriously I couldn’t put it down I loved it..... Leo and Hope’s story is heartbreaking but beautiful all at the same time.... Leo is drawn to Hope before he even sees her face and all he knows is that he wants to save her, protect her and fix all her brokenness but at the same time he’s worried he’s also too broken and will break her even more, their pasts are heartbreaking both unknowingly suffering abuse at the hands of the same sick man Hope is running away from but Leo is determined he will get revenge not just for himself but for Hope and also his best friend Jackson.
I loved the way Leo is so patient, gentle and caring towards Hope it was so beautiful to read and the more he helped her the more he fell in love with her.
Hope is an absolute warrior queen seriously the way she managed to run away and then let Leo in was amazing to see.
Jackson is another main character he’s Leo’s best friend and I love their relationship the way he always had Leo’s back and also the way he was also so gentle and kind to Hope was so adorable.

Pavan Kaur is a new author to me, and this book was amazing.
I was completely drawn into the book from the very beginning with how raw this book was. Leo and Hope are amazing together. They have been through so much an it’s crazy. To see them grow because of the things that have happened and come out the other side was wonderful. Fate is what brings them together.
Hope and Leo’s story broke my heart, I couldn’t imagine going through the things that they went through. I’m glad that she had Leo. The fact they went through similar things is truly heart breaking. The only thing that’s different is that Leo had Jackson. Hope was all alone.

Leo and Hope have both endured horrific pasts but how they have handled it is completely different. Hope tries to hide and lives in fear that her tormentors will find her, and she will end up in the same situation she escaped. Leo is on quest for vengeance to ensure that anyone and everyone that is responsible for his pain are punished his way, but he least he always had his best friend Jackson.

Broken Glass is my first read by Pavan Kaur and it was absolutely amazing. A captivating, must read with an emotional storyline and characters that are easy to love. A dark and gritty story of broken souls, one running from their past and the other trying to find it.
