An autographed story from Ireland (autographed!) on my SOUB that turned out to be a sweet fable about making a life that may be different from what's expected. A young writer, a lusty cook, a talented but awkward young sew-ist and her bitter mother, the imaginative old aristocrat, and other assorted characters weave in and out of each other's lives until everything settles into the right place.
