Dear You, Here we are. Together. For whatever only God knows. Maybe you heard me speak. Maybe a well-meaning friend gave you this book. Maybe you even bought it. Or maybe you found a copy in one of those cutesy, neighborhood book libraries, the ones that resemble chic little birdhouses? I may not be sure how you discovered this book, but I am sure of If you choose to read my scribbles, you will learn a bit of my story. It’s a tragic story, but one that’s buoyed by unexplainable joy. And my story has now interwoven with your story. Can I just tell you something? My brother’s final social media post, before he struggled to take his last breath this side of heaven, assured his friends and family of one essential Jesus loves you. And He surely does. No matter what. Life sucks sometimes, as we are all aware. I have no explanation for that fact, other than the brokenness of this world. Friends, we are part of the broken. But there is hope. In Moving with Scribbles, Amanda H. Williams opens her heart with an honesty that is both disarming and deeply comforting. Across thirty one essays, she invites readers into moments of loss, questioning, and unexpected joy each piece shaped by the kind of raw faith that doesn’t hide its scars.

What makes this collection so powerful is its humility. Williams never preaches; she confides. Through the lens of her own heartbreak and hope, she reflects on how divine love threads through even the most painful seasons. Her brother’s final message “Jesus loves you” becomes the book’s heartbeat, a refrain that echoes through stories of surrender, forgiveness, and courage to keep believing when life breaks you open.

The writing feels deeply personal yet universally resonant. Whether she’s recounting an act of kindness, wrestling with doubt, or rediscovering joy in the ordinary, Williams offers readers a safe space to sit with their own wounds. Her words remind us that faith isn’t found in perfection but in persistence the quiet choosing of love again and again.

Moving with Scribbles is a book to be underlined, revisited, and gifted a companion for anyone navigating grief, searching for meaning, or simply longing to remember that grace still moves through the mess of everyday life.
