Author of smart, sexy characters, J.M. Adele loves to flit between the dark and light sides of romance. Somewhere along the way an almost constant procession of imaginary characters settled into her thoughts and she picked up a pen to share their stories.
She lives in Queensland with her three greatest loves, her children. When she’s not writing or being a mum, you might find her hiking up a mountain, singing in the car when nobody is looking, or curled up with a good book.

What starts out as an innocent, sweet young romance certainly doesn't stay that way for very long. There is an edge of excitement and a touch of fear that sends your senses into overdrive.

This author captures your interest and certainly holds it for the duration of this novella, I need to know what happens in this story! No I MUST know what happens-this story is that compelling!

I love when the blurb of new book gives you just enough to whet your appetite but not enough that you feel you've just read the story, and then goes on to totally blow you away.
Well, Ashes and Dust has done just that for me!

I had my suspicions as to where this story would go after Olympic swim hopeful Shiloh's disappearance, but was so not expecting the mysterious suspense filled adventure that ensued.

Paranormal themes are not normally my go-to genre, but having read and loved Adele's Sensing You I was intrigued by this new duet and decided to go in relatively blind, and I'm so glad I did as I was instantly immersed and invested in this world of darkness and vampires, and the imagery and history the author so vividly wove into the story.

What ensues is a Battle for the Underworld, and at it's centre is an initially naive but driven Shiloh, whose own innocent world is thrown upside down by the revelations of her fate and evident destiny.

As she and her sister Lanie struggle with her new identity and purpose, she is also the pawn in a romantic tug of war between two powerful foes, and Shiloh must balance lust and trust as alliances change.

This story has so much going on; sibling drama, suspense, sizzling chemistry and other-worldly action, it's a true page turner and you will be grabbing eagerly for the second book to fuel your own Bloodlust! 4.5 Bloodthirsty Stars!!!

Not what I expected

Can I start by saying I didnt read anything about this book before I started it. So I really had no idea what it was about. For me the flow was a little off but it was good. Vampires. Hot vampires.

This book sucked me in from the beginning and then left me wanting more, lol. Shiloh and Seth are high school sweethearts and love spending all of their time together. Lanie, Shi’s sister, can’t stand Seth because since Seth came around she’s lost her sister. Then, the unthinkable happens and Shiloh disappears! I’m not going to leave any spoilers, but this was such a beautifully written book. I really enjoyed all the twists and turns that kept me flipping the pages as fast as I could.
