Whenever Professor Dean West, the rock star of the medievalist world, graces my book world, I just want to free-fall into him. Ah, don't you dare don a pair of leather pants, though because I'd rather see you in your posh suit or washed out jeans.

“What if it’s not so much who you are,” I say, lowering my voice an octave, “as where you are?”
“Oh.” Her breath catches in her throat with that little gasping noise that makes me hot in two seconds flat. “You mean like a spaceship or something? Am I your alien princess sex slave?”
Where does she come up with these?
“No,” I admit. “But I like the princess idea.” Not to mention the sex slave.
“You’ve seriously never thought of that before?” Liv asks.
I must have the imagination of a doormat, because the answer is no.

In this fourth installment of the Spiral of Bliss series, we see Dean and Liv taking on a path that is plastered with rough edges, pursuing their work with its challenging goals, negotiating conflicts while at the same time trying to find anew their secure and cozy place, a place specially made for Liv and Dean. It's a rather stiff piece of work (pun intended). Add in a two-year-old boy running their busy lives and it's no wonder that Liv and Dean's passionate love life is getting the short end of the stick.



Since giving birth to Nicholas, Liv's libido has changed and working at the Wonderland Café, taking care of their household and a vital toddler is, simply put, very exhausting. Thus, falling into a comfy bed in the evening is Liv's obvious choice instead of seducing her hot professor. It goes without saying that even though Dean is a very understanding and supportive husband to Liv, he's not amused that their sex life is running dry. Then, one day, an incredible opportunity arises that bothers Liv much more than her unreliable libido. Already struggling to find back to their intimate place of Liv and Dean, what would happen if…

I will keep my thoughts rather general and on the shorter side because all you need to know is included in my synopsis. Fans of this wonderful couple will dive straight into this fourth installment anyway, so I don't have to tell you much about the story. I'm positive that Adore's recognition value is very high. Many of us busy moms have experienced similar situations. Therefore, Liv's problems felt very relatable to me. However, while I understand where she came from and respect her need to stand on her own feet and make her own calls, that kind of behavior tends to scratch the edge of frustration also. Walking this fine line between "I-so-feel-you-Liv" and "shed-your-stubbornness-and-come-to-your-senses-already" isn't always easy to handle. Yet I think that everything panned out very nicely in the end, and Liv did learn a lesson in Adore.



My issues are not open for discussion because firstly, they are big spoilers and secondly, in this case I prefer that they remain a component between author and beta. This being said, I'm thankful that Nina did some rewrites after our round of beta reading. Also, while Adore is without doubt a great addition to a fabulous series, I believe it's extremely hard for an author to top a perfect novel. In my book, Nina delivered her masterpiece with Awaken. Despite my issues, Adore is written in Nina's distinct, beautiful, witty and very mature voice. It is also the expected sizzling hot erotic romance read that provides a storyline with depth, lovable main and secondary characters (Hello, Archer! You sexy and adorable stud) and much more than simple smut. Nina is one of those few authors who write erotic romance with impeccable taste and style.

...Dean. Always Dean. Professor Dean West, the great dirty talker, took the plunge into new waters to sex things up. Well, I guess desperate times called for a new and exciting way to seduce his wife. One thing is for sure, his special place in my heart remains unaffected.



If I have to sum Adore up in twelve words, then I will say...

With this couple, it is everything to me. But mostly you, Dean.

Nobody is going to excavate you from my mind, heart or body. Ever. I just know you'll always be there, ready and willing to let me indulge in fond and unforgettable memories. Thank you, Professor West, for being a man of poetry, medieval history, wit, passion and pleasure, strength, perseverance and love.

Nina sent the file on Friday, November 13th. I got it pretty late and was so tired that evening, went to bed early and woke up to this horrible nightmare that was all over social media. Where do I even begin to describe just how deeply I fell in love with this story and this beautiful couple? I was mesmerized by Professor Dean West and his Beauty when I read AROUSE back in 2013. Their story was so very raw, emotional, and realistic. Dean West had my heart aching and I found myself wishing that there was a man like him out there in the real world. I honestly thought that the story of Dean and Olivia West had ended perfectly in AWAKEN, but I am so happy that Nina Lane gifted us with this last book. I swear that I loved everything about this book and I was getting very emotional knowing that I was coming to the end of this amazing story.



This is not a story about a Billionaire Bachelor, MC Alpha, Rock God, MMA Fighter, or a Professional Athlete. It’s just a simple story about a married couple going through a bit of a rough patch, and yet, I was completely captivated by it. Both this and the Gabriel’s Inferno series have had me fantasizing hardcore, about sexy Professors.



Dean and Liv have such a charmed life. They have a beautiful little boy, a dream house, successful careers, and they’re still very much in love. The way Dean worships his wife is something to behold and I know once you read this book you will be fantasizing about having a man like him in your life. But now the couple face some challenges. Their sex life has taken a nose dive. Sex had never been a problem for the couple, but lately, it’s been almost non-existent because Liv is utterly exhausted due to her booming business, community projects, and having to take care of their rambunctious two-year-old. Even though Dean is completely turned on by his wife and the sad state of their sex life has been a dilemma for the couple, he never acts resentful towards Liv. He is always understanding and loving.



Dean comes up with imaginative ways to ignite their passion again and, OH MY, I was feeling the heat myself. Who knew that pie making could be panty melting inducing??!!! Just when it looks like they have overcome one issue in their lives another challenge surfaces. This one threatens to uproot the couple from their beautiful home, friends, and family that they have in Mirror Lake. Dean always puts Liv and her happiness before himself and he’s willing to do it yet again, and this was yet another in a long list of reasons why this man is one of my top fantasy book boyfriends.



I have to say that Nina Lane knocked this one out of the park!! I can’t say enough about this series. If you haven’t read it yet, now is your chance to experience the beautiful love story of the Professor and his Beauty.

5 DEAN AND LIV STARS

"You've always rocke my world hard, professor,and you know it."

I loved this book and the characters with all my heart! Adore is one of those stories that you want to read again and again, because there are so many emotions... And now that I've stopped crying, I can say my that my heart is full of joy! This book is going to be one of my favorite for 2016!!



When I first read the first book in this series I was hooked and captivated! Couples like Dean and Liv are so hard to find! Their love is so unique and their relationship realistic! You can feel their love, need and passion for each other all the time.Their love story is true, and you can see it by the fact that Liv and Dean are willing to do whatever is needed for them to be happy. Even though sometimes this isn't easy. And their jobs put them under pressure, despite this they still find a way to keep their marriage and manage to feel the way they felt the first time they were together!!
I laughed and cried with Dean and Liv. From the beginning I felt like I'm a part of their story and I didn't want to finish their book because once I was close to the end I was thinking that I'm not ready to leave them again!



Adore has everything I wanted and even more! Dean is as hot as ever! He is the same protective, smart, funny, confident and super hot professor that stole my heart from the first time! And Liv, OMG, I love her! She has changed throughout the books, now she is more confident with herself! There are steamy and emotional moments!

If you haven't read this series yet you are missing out on professor Dean and Liv... and it's a shame! Since it's one of my favorite couples! I highly recommend it to anyone who wants to read about real love!

4 "Our great adventure" Stars!


When Nina Lane announced we would have more of Dean and Liv let's just say I was all over it lol I think many of us were! Why? Because the love story between these two captured my heart since the beginning. And this novel is just another great chapter in the West's lives.

First of all, let me tell you all something. If you want to know and understand everything about this novel I think it's better if you have read the three previous books (of course) but also Archer and Kelsey's book (Break the Sky) because there are SOME spoilers, also these two are very important characters in this installment and you'll get better the references related to them. Moreover Break the Sky is a great read on itself!! Now, going back to the review: Adore is the fourth book in the Spiral of Bliss series by the amazing Nina Lane and it continues with the story of Dean and Olivia West, now parents of Nicholas and people who are very busy in their professional lives as well.

Well.. this was some roller coaster! Nina Lane is an amazing writer, I love her style and how she writes about feelings (especially in the scenes between couples). And Adore is full of feelings and emotions. Dean and Liv are not in their best moment, they still love each other madly but after having their kid and having so many (so freaking many!) work responsabilities, it's difficult for them to catch up with their lives (especially in the sex department). Dean is not happy about that and Liv too and that provokes various discussions between them.

My beauty. It feels like a weight is pressing on my chest. I can’t figure out why I’m so knotted up, but then it hits me.
My wife gave me the chance to make her completely mine again. Just for a few days. And I have to say no.

This book is full of ups and downs and still you fall in love even more with Nina's characters. They are that amazing! They are so in love, they love their son so much, and it is so beautiful (and hot!) when they are together. Dean wants their sex life back and let me tell you.. he is all about that. When he decides that is it, that is it ladies! I mean, I want your 'lessons about control' and your pie fantasies Mr West ;)

“I’ve done a lot of waiting for you, Mrs. West. And I’m getting tired of being left out in the cold. It’s about time you learned a lesson about not finishing what you start.” […] “In the meantime, you don’t think about sex. You don’t fantasize about pirates or gladiators or anything else. And you sure as hell don’t touch your pretty pussy. Got it?”

Totally got it! However, while loving Dean and his hotness and sweetness, I have to tell that for me there were too much ups and downs in this. What I mean is: Dean and Liv were having a great moment and seconds after that something gets in their way. Almost every time and I did not enjoy that as much. I think it's very difficult to surpass perfection which is what Nina Lane did in the previous novel Awaken. Still, I loved these two (and little Nicholas) to pieces because they are one of my favourite couples.

I’d known since the instant his fingers brushed the sleeve of my ratty gray sweatshirt the day we met. Once Professor Dean West takes hold of you, he doesn’t let go.

Our marriage is everything.

And even though sometimes everything was really difficult for them and it seemed that it was impossible to find a solution to their problems, what I always loved the most about Dean and Olivia is that their love is stronger than everything else. These two are something else (together with Archer and Kelsey, who also have fantastic scenes in this book!). I just really love these characters so much.

“Hey, beauty.” His voice is a warm, gentle current sliding right around my heart.
“Hi, professor.” I reach out to put my hand on his chest. “You came back.”
“I will always come back to you.”

“I’ve spent all this time looking for something I already have.” [...] “Perfection.”
“You had it all along?”
“Of course.” I rub my cheek against his shoulder. “It’s you. You’re my perfection.”

Therefore, my rating for Adore is 4 STARS because I really enjoyed having more of Dean and Olivia West, one of my favourite book couples ever! Still with all the drama, their love gives them all they need. And their adventure seems it will continue because Nina Lane has already announced there will be a fifth book called Always, YAAAAY! So, please if you haven't meet these amazing characters read this series because you will not regret it! Dean is so swoony, sweet and panty-melting and together with Liv, they are an explosive couple. I higly recommend these books :)

When experiencing something so wonderful, it’s a sad moment when it comes to an end. Nina Lane couldn’t have picked a more apt title for (what I hope is not) the last chapter of Liv and Dean’s story.

As an avid fan of this series, I genuienly feel as though I have been on a journey with Liv and Dean. I’ve been with them through their highs and lows. I’ve witnessed them learn harsh lessons as individuals and grow together as a couple. Through it all, I’ve never doubted them or Nina Lane’s ability to stay true to them.



As a reader, I am an avid seeker of the HEA. What makes this such a unique reading experience for me is that the story takes place after the point of the “I do’s.” Throughout the novels, I've always appreciated the realism of their relationship. Yes, they are madly in love, but being in love does not make them immune from life's insecurities . Adore focuses on the challenges the couple face when Dean career begins to soar, which has a direct effect on Liv’s feelings of displacement and the growing disconnect between them.



I found myself defenceless against the level of emotion evoked reading this book. The intensity of my love for Professor Dean West has never once waned and although I thought it impossible, it burns even hotter. Liv and Dean are simply perfect for one another, their love is encompassing and self sacrificing. Liv is a woman who, in my opinion has such strength (although i’m always convinced she’s aware of it). Above all else what I love most about them is that, as a couple they are stronger than their struggles.

4.5 ADORING STARS


Well well well... If there ever is a couple I ADORE and LOVE then Dean & Liv are it!!!

Gah ok ok... What to say what to say?? It's 1am did I tell you that? Well it's 1am and here I am writing this because these characters have crawled themselves into my thoughts this week and I'm unable to let them go so I'm writing my thoughts down...

For me this book completed the series as far as Dean and Liv goes anyways..

So what's it about??
It picks up a couple years after awaken finishes, where they have Nicholas their son and where Liv is very much the business woman running the Wonderland coffee shop that brings in the community to a place of fun and safety... She is also in the midst of the town and what's happening amount the community. But most importantly she's now a mum a working mum but a mum that is devoted to her son and husband..

Dean is doing very well in his career, likewise but with still room for growth and with a reputation of his and with his work ethos he is moving places. So this book is very much about a couple that NEEDS to find some balance with each other, with their friends and family and within their community.

"I love you, Liv. If you're happy, I'm happy."

This is the kind of relationship where love conquers all and where life and everything else fades into nothing when they're together. You know I have read and followed this series from the beginning and I think I'm feeling kind of emotional right now because frankly after EVERYTHING they've been through I am super happy about where they are now... With the odd hiccup along the way.. They are HAPPY!!! This was a perrrfect ending to this beautiful couple.

What I loved
Their uniqueness, I can't say there is any couple that I've read that are similar to this couple. I'm married so I suppose I have loved very much the REALNESS of their relationship and even in a marriage once you settle we still have issues... Dean and Liv have worked through their issues and because of that I'd say their love shines through in dozens..



They are sexy and find ways that work, HOT DAHUM, completing and yes even rough on the edges... And yes with a toddler around they had to find ways that worked, but worked it did!!


Overall this really did complete the series and a highly recommended series for anyone who hasn't yet met Dean and Liv. And for those who are looking forward to more Dean and Liv enjoy as I'm kind of sad it's over!!

We read a lot about couples falling in love, meet-cutes…
But what about couples staying in love?
This is something Nina Lane did beautifully with Professor West and his Beauty.
I truly adored visiting them again and I highly recommend the whole series to any romance reader. (Level of steam: high! Which is pretty perfect if you ask me.)

Seeing as I adored all the previous books in this series, it was a no-brainer decision to go on and read more about The Professor and his Beauty.
If you haven’t yet started on this beautiful tale by Nina Lane, I can’t stress you enough about adding it to your TBR, it’s one of my favorite couples to read about!

I knew everything we did together, every act in which we engaged, would serve to either strengthen our trust in each other or prove that it was warranted.

There is something to be said about a couple in love. It’s been so long since I’ve read about Dean and Liv but the memories of their love are still vivid in my mind. Thanks to Nina Lane‘s wonderful writing and exquisite story-telling.

The Spiral of Bliss series spanning over the years, tells the story of Olivia Winter and Dean West, Professor/Student romance trope, the best I’ve read to this day. The adoration this man has for his wife through the years is infinite and undying.



I won’t re-tell everything that happened since the first book, Liv and Dean are just simply at a point in their lives most couples have experienced. They finally gained stability, they’re married and have a child, Nicholas. Liv is a successful entrepreneur and Dean as invested in his career as a professor and historian as ever.

So what is this book about?

Adore is about everlasting love. We often read romance books about a couple falling in love and we certainly enjoy a nice Happy Ever After, but what about what’s happening next? Ever wondered about the heroes’ struggles to stay happy? To keep the flame burning?I like to think that the story doesn’t end with the “and they lived in love and happily ever after”. And that’s exactly what Nina Lane offers to her readers here.

My love for my wife is powerfully intense and secure, bone-deep, the essential part of me. It’s the solid ground under my feet, a feeling as inevitable as a sunrise.
With Nicholas, my love’s is almost scary in its fierceness and layered with so many other emotions I can’t even define them all. Awe. Wonder. Fear. Amazement. Hope.
Everyday, every time I see him, the love surges anew, like a tidal wave submerging my heart.

Some could feel the story of Liv and Dean had been told and maybe another book was not necessary. But to me this book actually stands on its own, you could even read it as a standalone.
Nina Lane delivers here with great realism the struggles any couple with children encounters.

I could identify myself and relate to Liv’s attempts to find solutions for all her facets to meet ends. How to be more present for her kid, how to be a successful entrepreneur, how to find her place again as a wife… How to find the perfect balance between her role as a mother, and her role as a woman.

My head fills with the scent of him, urgency tightening through my entire body. I’d almost forgotten how uninhibited and sexy I could be with him, how good pure, undiluted lust could feel.

I truly loved this book! Loved witnessing Professor West‘s undying love for his Beauty, loved the sneak peek into their everyday life, loved that they were still so open to each other, loved that neither Liv or Dean was perfect, loved Liv’s attempts to seduce her husband but failing miserably because reasons…
And I absolutely adored Dean’s enduring love for Liv, his ways of reassuring her when she started doubting, the inventive ways he came up with to put both is and Liv’s intimacy back on tracks…

Look at me.
You look at me the whole time, beauty. I want to watch you when I push inside you, when you take my cock nice and deep. I want to see the expression in your eyes when I start to fuck you. I want to look into your eyes and know you’re feeling every goddamned inch of my cock filling you.

Adore was also a tasteful piece of erotica! And that’s exactly how I love my romance stories, sweet and steamy. And Dean‘s demonstration of both was definitely a bonus. The sex scenes were exquisitely written, and left me wanting MORE! I need to give a special mention to Dean‘s creativity and a special award to :
the Shaving Scene flash back…
The diverse role-plays…
I must say I’ve been eyeing my trench coat differently this past week and I’m still to satisfy my apple pie and cherry pie cravings…

Why not 5 stars? Despite my constant interest for Liv and Dean‘s marital life, I had troubles with Liv constant and tiring need to assert her independence. I’m all for equality between men and women, but her perpetual need to load herself with all these responsibilities annoyed the hell out of me. It was obvious she was trying too much, and it was even more obvious she was going to fail epically… I think this part of the book could have been lightened a little.

All in all, Adore was a successful read for me, it delivered a solid story about a married couple (a unicorn in romance), intense and passionate sex scenes and a hero to swoon over…

In Adore Dean & Olivia West have the life they've always dreamed of. They have it all. The house, the jobs they both love, & a family. They've worked so hard to get to where they are & build a life together in Mirror Lake.



Dean is still a medieval history professor at King's University, but has also been travelling a lot as an archeologist working on various historical sites out of town. Liv has finally found her place in their small town, & opened a successful café with her best friend Allie.



With so much going on, both Dean & Liv have taken on too many responsibilities & are spread thin. They are having to share so much of each other with the outside world, they have little time left for one another. They've become lost in their everyday life & with Dean out of town so much they have started to lose sight of each other. They are both exhausted, & need to learn to make their relationship more of a priority.



The love they feel for one another is the one thing that has never wavered. They are a couple who realizes they need to revive their sex life & make time for intimacy. Sex has always been a huge part of their relationship, & they will go that extra mile to make time for each other, & OMG it is so hot!!! They indulge in all their dirty fantasies & this couple is on fire together! I have loved this series so much & this book was just as fabulous as the others in the series! I ADORE Professor Dean West!!! :D

5 Our Marriage is Everything Stars!

I ADORE this couple so much. Dean and Liv will always hold a special place in my heart.



In this book we get to catch up with Dean, Liv and baby Nicholas. As many can attest, marriage takes some work and it's no different for these two. Dean is still teaching at King's University and traveling the world assisting with the preservation of historical sites.

Liv is working at the Wonderland Cafe that she and Allie opened together. She's also putting together the town's annual festival and auction. On top of that she's volunteering the Cafe for more business, which takes up almost all of her free time.

Both are working too much, but ever since Nicholas was born, Liv's sex drive has been spotty. They both recognize that they've seemed to have lost their way in that department and need to find it again. Liv tries to spice things up, but everything that could go wrong does. Dean's been very patient and will do anything to make his wife happy, but eventually he has to take matters into his own hands. His actions show us that Professor Dean has a dominating side that is so HOT! Let's just say apple and cherry pie have never sounded so good.

I love the genuine love between this couple. You can feel it with every book and it never falters or gets old. I think Nina Lane wrote a perfect ending for these two. It was great how they both compromised and together started a new adventure. I'm very excited to know there will be another book in this series too.



Now I want to read Break the Sky, which is Asher (Dean's brother) and Kelsey's story. I've loved Kelsey from the beginning. She's smart, sassy, confident and Dean's best friend so for her to end up his brother is going to be a great story.

*Side note: I wish the Wonderland Cafe was real. I don't have any kids, but I would go just because it sounds so awesome. Nina Lane has described everything so well that I can see each room and all of the cookies and teas so vividly in my mind.

Nina Lane is First Class all of the way, and I have adored working for her! Then when Baba joined the team, we were blessed even more!

This has been a secret project, and I am so pleased to see that the cat is out of the bag now!! YES! We are getting more Dean and Liv West, and believe me...YOU DO NOT want to miss this! It is an awesome story, and it has that sizzle that we all have become addicted to after meeting Mr. West! The yummy dirty talker is back, and he's got some new moves...OH YEAH!! I LOVED this book! I ADORED this book! I WANT TO HAVE THIS BOOKS BABIES!!! Like how is it possible that book 4 has become my favorite book in the series?! It's possible because Nina Lane is a fantabulous writer!

The romance of LIv and Dean continues, but in this book they have the added addition of a baby, and all the while they're trying to navigate life and marriage with a two year old, but their fire is dying out. The romance, the heat is still there but they've got to get it back.....somehow. You know the saying "The tension was so thick you could slice it with a knife."? Well these characters are so realistic, so true that I felt like I could call them up for a cup of coffee!

With each book I fall more and more in love with Professor Dean. He's my kind of hero. What can I say about him? Except that he's just ridiculously amazing and I LOVE him!

This series is absolutely incredible and if you haven't read it yet I don't know what you're waiting for!**sigh**

This has been by far one of my favorite book series and couple that I've ever had the pleasure of reading about. These characters make a lasting impression and they feel like reuniting with old friends. I will never forget Liv and Dean and how they make marriage,love,trust,and partnership work.

Trying to make her mark on the town and prove she can do it all, Liv takes on more community town projects. How do you balance running your own bussiness, being a wife, mother and still trying to stay sane.

Dean West LOVES his wife. He will do anything for her and make her happy. After going back and forth with traveling, he decides that something has to change. They can no longer go without being with each other and spending time together. They make plans to change the way they've been doing things but plans always have a way of changing. Especially when life gets in the way.

I ADORED this story so much I can't even tell you.Liv and Dean have that kind of love that everyone wants and are still searching for. Their passion was real, their love was genuine, their disagreements were relatable and their loyalty was awe inspiring. If you haven't read this series yet, please give it a try. I guarantee you will never forget Professor Dean West and his "Beauty".

Among the many things I loved about 'Adore', is that this wasn't just a follow-up book, an addition in the series. Nina Lane delved into the psyche of her characters. We read what they are thinking, deep down who they really are. We learn them. We care about them. I have a much better understanding of who Dean and Liv are, and why they made and make the choices they do.

Dean is gone a great deal of time due to work. Liv is moving on with life at home as if she were single. She's making decisions for the family and plans for her life, without informing or asking Dean. She is excluding him, living as if a single mom. Perhaps that is because she kind of is. It is easier to just make decisions and share them later. Sometimes though, once he returns home, they get caught up in day to day life and forget to talk. Resentment soon builds, but they hide it, because she wants him to be happy in what he does and she would never ask him to do anything different and he doesn't want to overstep her boundaries.

As with any marriage, Dean and Liv are not immune to problems. Communication, finding time for intimacy, forgetting to put their marriage first, just generally letting life get in the way. As their jobs and passions take them on separate paths, can the couple survive? Will they get so lost in their own needs, wants and dreams, that they forget they are a couple?

You always have to work to maintain success. I've done that with our business as best I can, but I'm now realizing I also have to do that with my marriage.

Lane has crafted such wonderful characters. Dean is sexy as hell. He is also, kind and caring. He loves Liv more than life itself and it shows. He isn't perfect but he tries. Liv is just as amazing in her own way. She is strong, determined and would do almost anything to make her husband happy, often putting his needs/wants and dreams before hers.

This is one of my all-time favorite series!

Things were going great for Dean and Liv when we last heard from them in Arrive. However, with a toddler around, they are having to make some adjustments and it's not always easy.

They both have too much going on and keep tacking more things onto their plates. Not to mention, they are both trying to spice up their sex lives...or lack of.

This leads to some very interesting and hot interludes. This is definitely an area where Professor West's skill in planning has come in handy!

I just wish that N.L. had infused some humor into the situations because the frustration level was high. I mean, who wants to get worked up for nothing! ;)



Obviously, something has to give for these two and ultimately, there was a huge FAIL. Shockingly so....and unfortunately for me, very unbelievable. I just didn't feel that was true to Liv's character and I really didn't like the way Allie treated her and Liv. Just. Took. It. Oh well.

Also, Dean is being courted for a position with the World Heritage Center. This causes a lot of tension with the couple as they both want to please each other with what they ultimately want to do....and not stand in the way of each other's happiness.

A lot of the time I felt was spent running around in circles. The same issue was rehashed over and over again until they finally talked to each other. And as much as I love Dean and Liv as a couple, this is a huge downfall for me. Understandably, it takes time to work through issues but it was just too much.

And super surprising was the end result. I love that Liv was selfless and the plan that she came up with. It will be interesting to see where their adventure leads them in the next book, Always.

On a side note, there's a bit of a spoiler if you haven't read Archer's book, Break the Sky. I was very happily surprised although if I had even just read the blurb, I would have known. Now, I just need to read it! ;)

I love Nina Lane's writing. I have loved every book from this series, including this one. Unfortunately... I couldn't give this one 5 stars, for one simple reason: Olivia's selfishness. Oh. My. Gosh! I couldn't get over it. Everything (and I mean EVERYTHING) was about her. How she felt, what she wanted, what she needed, at her convenience, etc. It made me feel extremely sympathetic to my baby Dean (who I loved sooooooo much more after reading this book, for obvious reasons).

Olivia had a hard time juggling her marriage, her child, her career, and her extra activities. But she refused to ask for help or look to Dean for ANYTHING!! And she acted like she was the only woman to find herself in these circumstances.

I loved how Dean dealt with it all. It was incredibly realistic and everything about Dean reaffirmed his standing as one of my favourite characters of all time! I'm must glad that Liv smartened up in the end. Even if she had to fall in order to get wise, at least she figured out a great compromise. I needed Dean to be considered too.

And just when, once again. I think that I can leave this couple in their HEA, the author gives me more. I'm off to read Always.

Nina Lane is one of THE most talented contemporary romance writers today. Her Spiral of Bliss series is one of my top favorite series, with outstanding characters, fantastic stories and one of THE sexiest couples I know, Liv and Dean. So I was more than excited to jump in to ADORE, the latest book in the series. Nina Lane has made me a fan of this sexy, real, gorgeous couple, with all of their problems and issues and yes, even humorous moments.

Adore must be read in order, and takes place after Liv and Dean have married and are living in Mirror Lake. Liv is running a business and has a young child. Working moms will recognize Liv’s constant juggling act but as much as I adore this writer, some of the scenes were a little jarring to me. As a wife and mother who has worked outside the home for almost 30 years, I found some of the scenes to be a little overdramatic and unnecessary.

With that said, Professor Dean West continues to be one of my favorite male characters. OMG is he sexy!!! His confidence, sexiness and intelligence make him absolutely irresistible. And make no mistake, Ms. Lane is a master at sexy, erotic writing. Even the funny scenes when Liv is totally frazzled are adorable. Dean truly worships Liv and will do anything to please her. All of Liv’s careful planning seemed to go out the window when Dean receives the job offer of a lifetime. But he is ready to give it all up for his family?

“I haven’t had any best days with you.”

Why not?

“Because you are my best day, beauty”.

Although some parts of the story moved slower than I wanted them to, I did love this book and will always devour anything Nina Lane writes. I hope that this is not the end of the story for Dean and Liv. I am not ready to give up Professor Dean West!

Dean… the outrageously alluring and incredibly seductive hero who I affectionately nick named ‘Professor McHottie Pants’ stole my heart yet again in Adore… swoon


Dean and Olivia West… So ecstatic to revisited one of my all time favorite lovebirds and this story was a great surprise. Throughout this series, (which I recommend reading in it's entirety before diving into Adore), I’ve weathered all the ups and downs of their relationship ~ the heartaches, the triumphs, and the obstacles that threatened to rip them part. I was curious to see how their story would continue. I was worried and hoped that their ‘happily ever after’ would not become tainted or forced to experience undue angst. Consuming this read in one sitting (because I could not tear myself away from the amazing professor), I found myself touched by another one of Nina Lane’s heartwarming tales. This time, I was faced with this couple’s realistic struggle to reignite their passion while moving past the doldrums of marriage.



Liv, while taking on more responsibilities with the business and an active member within the community of Mirror Lake, is dealing with the challenges of motherhood. She is tired and exasperated, pushing herself to the max as Nicholas is going through the ‘terrible twos’ stage. I loved seeing her character become more resilient with each struggle she faced. She’s vulnerable, yet became stronger as she tried to conquer every obstacle thrown her way. Despite her struggles, she would do everything and anything for her husband. Her love for him is limitless. And as always, it’s Dean who provided the strength she needed to persevere. I cherish their unique and mutually dependent relationship, which feeds their souls.



Poor Dean, between his constant travels, Nicholas’ interruptions and the unrelenting pressure to take his career to a new level, he isn’t getting any nookie. Sexually frustrated, he misses the effortless spark of their passion and is annoyed it takes work to get Liv all sexed up. There’s just no spontaneity or free time and something’s got to give. Together, they faced the issue head on, determined to rekindle their sex life and find a way back to one another. And this where my Dean shines through – his resolve to regain control by spicing things up in the bedroom. As expected, he totally wowed me with his smoking hot and dominating ways. The professor certainly knows how to get down and dirty by using all of his charms and raw sexiness to kick the heat level up to scorching.



Just when I thought I couldn’t love him more, I’ve fallen deeper for the way he consistently needs to protect and provide for his wife in all ways. Each time he calls Olivia “my beauty”, he melts my heart. Just the perfectly sweet and swoon worthy hero.



Nina Lane has a magical way of stringing words together so beautifully sweet, they are seared into my soul. Adore was a compelling realistic and heart warming romance that will forever stay with me. I adored and appreciated the emotional way she scripted Liv and Dean’s everlasting love. This read was a wonderful treat for me, and as always, looking forward to more epic romances from her creative imagination.

I really enjoyed visiting with Dean and Liv again. Dean is and always will be one of my top bookboyfriends...that man is just amazing ;)

What I love most about these books is that they are about an established couple trying to keep their relationship afload. What I loved about this one especially, is that I saw some of myself in Liv.

I can still remember my son being two and trying to deal with everything while also trying to keep your marriage exciting...damn hard times ;)

I can only say that these two, they really are a match made in heaven...and I love my husband very much, but if Dean ever leaves Liv and doesn't have a place to go...there is plenty of room in my house (read bed) ;)

The spiral of bliss series is one of the only series i could never get tired of . I could read about this couple forever.Nina lane is truly talented her charters are very relatable and im an single women with no children and i can get were oliva and dean are coming from when there talking about the stress of marrige and work and life and trying to keep it all together and keep everbody around you happy. I love this series and i would reccomend it to anyone. I cant wait to read book 5 called always nina lane has a small description of it on her website.

This book wasn't needed but honestly, I really enjoyed reading it. I really liked reading more of Liv and Dean's struggles as a married couple and I love reading the aftermath after everything they have been through. This book does have some of the things that people wanted in the ending of the third book which is nice. You do have to read all of the previous books and nouvellas to understand what is going on in this book, it is not a standalone and there are plenty of references to the previous novels and nouvellas. Although my reviews are mixed for this series, I genuinely loved this series. It is realistic in some ways but can also feel like a fairytale at points. I can't believe I am almost done with this series, I got one more book to go! Anyway, I can't say much about this series without spoiling it so I'm just gonna dive right into the spoilers after giving the same summary as I always have in my previous reviews.

This story follows Olivia, who is married to the love of her life, Dean. Dean is a professor and Olivia used to be a student that is now struggling to find a job and a place where she belongs. Dean and Olivia met in a university, and their life has been everything they wanted. Dean and Olivia share everything with one another, or so they believe. After feeling doubts, their marriage is suddenly plummeting, both of them struggle to save the one safe place they have had in their lives, the marriage they value with one another is nearing its end unless they do something about it.

Now for the spoilers


So this book starts off two years after we left off and little Nicholas is two years old, the cutest child ever. I loved being able to see Dean and Liv as parents, their life seems to be busy but happy. But it was interesting to see them navigate the world of parenthood while trying to be with one another and take care of their child. The fact that Dean has to frequently travel while Liv has to take care of her cafe was something I didn't really think about when the third book ended. So it was nice to see that in this book. And I was so glad we got to see more of Archer and Kelsey, and his struggle to convince her to marry him.


Every time Archer proposed


The issues that were brought up in this novel made sense but didn't at the same time. Dean was accused of sexual assault and yes, we did get a Disney ending to that story, but there were issues that the other book brought up that didn't affect Dean in this. I thought he would feel more uncomfortable around students because of the case, maybe feel some sort of caution and discomfort. And the last book mentioned how a professor's reputation can be tainted by sexual assault claims, even if they were innocent. This is a thing that I was thinking about, and I am happy for Dean, but the fact that the UN wanted him as the assistant director a couple of years after this case made this book seem like it was not realistic. Yea Dean is innocent and I'm not saying he didn't deserve it, but this book made it sound like Dean was the only professor out there and that he was one of a kind. Especially since Dean beat up Maggie's dad and had to do a public apology or something. Is that really someone you want as an assistant director? It's not like he's the only candidate out there. It just took me outta the story since it felt too fake and exaggerated the fact that Dean was this prestigious professor that everyone wanted to get their claws on. I mean we did get a chance to see Dean as a professor, helping students and he is good, but I just felt like the whole assistant director thing was such a reach. So many people would have wanted to get the job and if Dean rejected the offer, they could have easily moved on. But Dean came up with a list of demands and this organization was so desperate to have him, they agreed right away. Like come on that's just too fake, it's overreaching at this point.


It made sense that Dean and Liv were so busy that they weren't able to do the things they love as often as they did. Lol aka sex. But it was nice to see them be patient with one another, listening to each other's concerns and being supportive of one another. I loved how Kelsey and Archer would always take care of Nicholas and how Archer clearly loved Nicholas so much. He has grown so much and is such a good uncle and caring boyfriend. Kelsey is just so stubborn and annoying though, I understand that she doesn't wanna marry Archer but she was just being annoying. But the whole scene with the auction where Archer and Kelsey were bidding off of one another was just too cute. Especially since it was for the chair that Archer made that was about Kelsey, with the blue superhero. And the fact that he bought it for her was just the sweetest thing ever I was smiling so big. Archer had Nicholas on his shoulders while having this standoff with Kelsey, it was adorable and badass at the same time.


I love love LOOOVED seeing both Dean and Archer bond. One of the things that weren't really resolved in the last coupla books was Dean and Archer's relationship. And the fact that they went out for a drink and talked about their love lives, giving each other advice was the sweetest thing ever. I was smiling so much when they were bonding, it made me so happy, I couldn't wait for their moments since they were funny but also understood one another. And every once in a while, they would bring up memories from their childhood which was sweet.


I felt like Liv was being stupid as a business partner in this book. I was so proud of her for opening up a cafe which turned out to be a huge success but Allie was right, she was being a control freak and was saying yes to everything, even if they wouldn't be able to handle the work. She wasn't thinking properly and I was glad that Allie stood up to her. Liv would never have understood unless someone talked to her. The fact that she said yes to a buncha things and then there was a literal storm of issues while she was having sexy times with Dean was just expected. Part of me thought that she would prove Allie wrong and be able to handle everything but then the chaotic mess happened and Liv needed a break.


I loved seeing Liv bond with other mothers and their conversations. I loved Florence's romance with Mr. Jenkins lol, it was the cutest. And I loved the auction with Mr. Jenkins, I didn't know he would be that amazing. And omg I loved how Archer met Florence and how he easily became one of her favourites and how Dean was like, "Get used to her squeezing your biceps." There were so many fun things that happened in his book that made my day while reading.


I didn't like the fact that this new director position would be such a major part of this book. Like yes, it's a great position and yes it would be great for Dean, but they have their life in Mirror Lake. And when they had realistic conversations about it, I just didn't think they would actually do it. Liv finally has her business and doesn't even think twice about abandoning it and going to Paris with Dean which is so stupid. Throughout the first three novels, she was always upset that she wasn't doing anything, and when she finally becomes this successful shop owner, she decides to abandon it after two years and follow Dean. I love how supportive they are of one another but it's just sad. Like Dean mentioned, everyone was at Mirror Lake, they even bought a house and everything, but they decide to leave. But I liked how they mentioned everything I was thinking, they didn't just drop everything and head to Paris. But I just wished they stayed in Mirror Lake lol. I am someone who hates change so it makes sense why I think this way. But everyone who talked to Dean would also ask him to consider taking the position which also felt like it wasn't realistic.


When Dean offered to help Liv and she kept refusing, I got it. I wouldn't want help either when I do things, and it was a struggle when everything was falling apart and she finally asked for help and Dean couldn't help her. I understood both sides and didn't really choose one side or the other, they were both right and it made sense why they were frustrated. Dean offered to help so many times and Liv refused, but Liv finally gives in and Dean has to go. It was frustrating but understandable and I liked that. And I loved how Liv acknowledged that her and Dean always use sex as an out of a fight and how she was aware of it. It's something many people complained about in the previous books in their reviews, it bothered me as well, so it was nice to see that Liv was aware and did not want to do that. And I liked how Dean came back as soon as he could since he couldn't have this bad tension between them.

I loved the letters North would send Liv, they were so cute. One of them was from Sri Lanka WOOT WOOOOT! I felt like all of the characters were pushing Liv to leave and it was kinda like it was their purpose in this story which I didn't like. Kelsey tells Liv not to be afraid of change and so does Allie. Allie wasn't even worried about their partnership or anything, it just kinda was disappointing. But they were great friends too I guess.

Dean and Liv continue to have swoon-worthy moments in this book and I can't wait to read more about their future. I can't think of anything else to say so that's it for spoilers!

Nothing changes the status quo of a relationship like bringing a child into it. If you think they will just nicely slot in around your life and commitments, think again. They pretty much become your life. You are now a parent 24/7 and any decisions or plans you make are with your child in mind. I am definitely guilty as charged of making out with my husband and mentally ticking things off in my head, things that I deem important. It's hard to keep your head clear of everything else and just focus on yourselves when you are raising a family.

This is how things currently are in the West household. Their gorgeous son Nicholas is 2 1/2 and definitely paying homage to the 'terrible twos' phase. Liv is juggling a lot of balls - wonderful mother, attentive wife, business owner and is involved numerous other voluntary activities in the Mirror Lake community. Dean is back from his work travels and slotting back into their daily life with ease. He enjoys his trips away but misses Liv & Nicholas when they are apart.

Dean is beginning to realise just how much he has been missing out on with his family as his work trips. More importantly, how everything has changed sexually. Liv is often asleep when he gets home from work and when he is home early they are so busy with Nicholas that they pretty much fall into bed exhausted. He is determined to rectify that situation and sets a plan in motion.

'Maybe this is just what happens when a marriage stretches and lengthens, when a couple's careers expand, when you realize there are only so many hours in the day and you have so much left to do'

The more that Liv takes on, the more stress she takes on board too. Delegation is not really a strength of hers and accepting offers of help from Dean are also frowned upon too. However, something has got to give if this couple wants things to change for them. Liv cannot have her fingers in all of the pies and expect to be able to carry everything else. And speaking of pies..... namely apple pies & cherry pies... let's just say that Professor Dean West gets very creative with these two delicious treats. And who knew how erotic a shaving brush could be? OMG, hottest bathroom scene ever!!

What I loved the most about this book was how real it was. The reality of parenthood was perfectly represented from interrupted private moments, tantrums, sharing your bed with a child kicking you all night, overwhelming guilt of leaving them at day care and the fears you have when you lose sight of them. The part of this book that will stay with me a long time is the love that Dean has for his Beauty. It is so lovely how he just openly adores her. He will do anything for her and his family. I simply got swept up reading this book and I loved it :-)

It's so rare today, in this romance climate, to find a fictional married couple as thoroughly captivating as Liv and Dean West. As a reader who craves realism in her fiction, and as a woman who can attest to the fact that the ebbs and flows of a real marriage never cease, I can so appreciate that Nina Lane chooses to bring us along, yet again, through the ups and downs of the West's marriage. I love this couple, I love the heartbreaking, difficult journey they've taken as a couple up to this point, and I'm so happy that we're being treated to even more of their story in this fourth novel in the Spiral of Bliss series.

As beautiful and perfectly imperfect as the love story of Dean and Liv has been thus far, their happily ever after continues to evolve and change. Adore takes us through the current state of their life together. As busy parents to a toddler, and as professionals navigating their respective career paths, the professor and the cafe owner struggle with intimacy and a floundering connection as Dean's career takes him away often, and motherhood distracts Liv. Nina Lane crafts a beautiful, fictional escape into a world that is both a fairy tale between a vulnerable princess and her knight in shining armor, and an honest glimpse into the daily woes of a very real marriage. 

Adore is sexy, steamy, emotional and dotted with humor. This achingly real love story is peppered with beautiful memories, glorious reminders of how Liv and Dean came to be, further cementing how strong their foundation is despite how difficult things can be at times. I can't emphasize my adoration of the authenticity and realism in this story enough. This series doesn't have a happy ending because that would imply Liv and Dean have an ending at all. And they don't. Their love story continues to morph and adapt and flourish and they continue to face difficulties and joys as any married couple does. Nina Lane takes the monotony and normalcy of a relationship, of parenthood, of friendship, of career pursuit, and weaves it into a captivating fictional romance that is everything we hope to sink into when we pick up a great book. This series exemplifies the perfect marriage between fantasy and reality and it's everything a reader like me craves in romance.

Nina Lane is one of my most favorite authors. I absolutely adore her writing. I'm completely in love with her Spiral of Bliss series, with outstanding characters, fantastic stories and one of THE sexiest couples I've read. Sometimes in a series with the same characters, you get bored, same stuff different page, but with this series, it's not that way at all for me. It's captivating, I'm so in love with this couple that I can't get enough. So when I heard there was more books coming out, I was "oh no, my heart can't take it if she does something to my Dean & Liv." And oh man does she in Adore, God does she beautifully do something.

Nina Lane has made me a fan of this sexy, gorgeous couple, with all of their problems and issues, and their adorable little boy. This book moves into life as parents, life as hard working adults, and life as a struggling couple trying to find their way back to sexiness and into each other. It's beautifully done. I absolutely am in love with Dean & Liv. Can't wait to continue their journey. ❤️❤️

This book made my heart happy!

So so good to be back with Dean again. As I've said in previous review, I love reading about this couple because they are real. They have real lives and real issues that any married couple can understand. I have certainly been there, with three children, me and my husband find it very difficult to find time for each other. This book shows us that no matter how difficult life can be at times, you need to work and grow together, to keep each other happy.

I loved how Liv and Dean started to spice things up a bit and remember just how incredible and intense their sex life can be. Sex definitely isn't 'everything' in a marriage, but it does help them keep their connection strong.
Dean will always be the sexiest professor EVER!!

I am so happy that Dean and Archer are working on their own relationship and seem to be growing closer again.
And I hope Archer manages to wait for Kelsey. They are a lovely couple.

My only small complaint is that the book was super long. It did drag a little at times.
But I cannot wait to read whatever comes next :D

3.5 Stars!!!

This book was not the same as the earlier one as it deals with Dean and Liv's domestic life. It started off when Nicholas was already part of their life. It states how she jumbles her life as a mom, a businesswoman and a wife. Truthfully, it was exhausting.

I love how realistic the author has written about the stress of being a mother and it saddens me to know that sometimes even though the couple loves one another, taking care of a child really consumes your energy thus resulting to lack of time with your partner. That, I understood.

What I don't understand though is what Liv was trying to prove by keep on accepting projects that requires a lot of time, thus diminishing her time with Dean. Hello? We're talking Dean here. To the extent that Dean has to come up with kinky ideas just to spice up their life !?! ( which by the way took a lot of pages... I'm starting to get bored)

I felt that some parts are going around in circles which is why I fell asleep even when I was reading the end. I just somehow lost my interest.

Dean and Liv were one of the hardest couples to say goodbye to. So, you can imagine my delight (*happy dancing) when I found out that Nina Lane was giving us yet another story in one of the most beautiful love stories of all time.

Adore picks up a few years after Awaken. The Wests have moved into the Butterfly House, Liv’s Wonderland Café is a success, and the hot Professor West, is without a doubt all rockstar in his role as the medieval professor. Also, they now are parents to a very rambunctious toddler, Nicholas. To say, they have a lot on their plates is putting it mildly.

“Liv, you are the reason I do things, not the reason I don’t.”

With their day-to-day tasks taking over their lives, Dean and Liv have little to almost no time just to be with each other. With Liv’s libido down in the dumps, their love life has taken a turn for the worse. The thing is, Liv and Dean have always had that “spark” in their relationship so this is a bit of a hard pill to swallow. Leave it to Dean to try and capture what they had in the past. There aren’t many books that take place after the hero and heroine get their HEA (happily ever after) and I like that we get to see that Liv and Dean can still be such an amazing couple even when times get rough. Yes, they’ve had their ups and downs but these two can face anything. They support one another and genuinely want to be with each other.

One of my favorite things about this series is the beauty of Dean and Liv’s love. The love these two share with each other is so apparent and you know that these two are it for each other. Adore was such an accurate portrayal of what can happen in marriages when a baby makes three and leave it to Nina to put it to words in such a beautiful way. Their love is something to aspire to.

My other favorite part of this series is Dean. Hands down, I don’t even know how Nina writes the ultimate swoonworthy male hero. I honestly don’t know how there really is any other man that compares to him. He is the ultimate of all book boyfriends (I may actually make him a book husband).

If you want to read about a couple who will make you fall in love and show you that love is most important…then I highly recommend you read Nina’s Spiral of Bliss series. This series is one my all-time favorite series and I cannot get enough of Dean and Liv.

P.S. I think I may be getting greedy if I plead and beg for another book.
