My life is awesome. I married a sweet, super hot guy who loves me in spite of my ability to screw things up. I write steamy rom-com full time, and I only spilled two things on myself this morning.

But I'm the Queen of Klutz--and no lucky streak lasts forever.
The perfect 2nd book in this series! Adorable & Hilarious. Sibby and Aidan are so perfect together! I felt a bit sad for poor Caleb ... maybe they'll get their happy end in the 3rd book!
I wouldn't mind seeing this on TV!
Still don't love that the sexy scenes are completely left out - it all feels a bit immature ... BUT - I still love the story!
I’m not a big fan on series that follow the same characters but this one was too funny not to read. I really enjoyed this series. Sibby is a mess but a hilarious mess!
From the get-go, in this book, she left a trail of chaos in her wake and it every hurdle humanly possible. How she has even made it this far in life I have no idea but the journey is hilariously funny all the same. I loved jumping back into Aiden and Sibby's relationship, seeing them settle down into 'proper' adults and doing adult stuff.
I really connected with Sibby's reaction to pausing life to create a family and I think a lot of women will relate to this. I mean why not just have a dog? Samantha wrote something that was realistic and completely relatable to the reader and through Sibby's full journey, there were constant moments of second-guessing and freakouts. Obviously, Sibby has Aiden, which not a lot of women are lucky to have and he remained by Sibby's side the entire time, even through her crazy moments.
This was seriously so funny! I already knew what to expect, having just finished the first one. I actually liked this one so much more because I found it to be relatable as all hell. The shenanigans felt more natural/genuine and less forced and I just loved all the laughs. Now I’m wishing I had waited until the third one comes to read these, but I guess I’ll just do a reread then.
Meh, this book was basically a shit show just like Sibby’s life. It was charming to read in the first book, but the amount of bad luck *cough* stupidity *cough* that happens around Sibby has now entered the realm of unbelievable.
3.75⭐️ I enjoy these books because they make me laugh quite often!
The only negative thing that I have to say is that even though it’s a funny book, but it just doesn’t make me feel like I HAVE to read it to find out what’s next. It’s more or a leisurely read. I didn’t want to read it during every free part of my day to find out what happens next, I hope that makes sense 😅
Maybe I am just used to the other books I read which are typically an intense, action, drama🤷♀️
Either way, they are good books, and I will read the third one. But just know it isn’t going to keep you hooked or wanting to read every second of the day.
“This isn’t how this is supposed to go, Sibby. I’m your mother. I’m supposed to know before everyone else. Before your friends. Before social media. EVERYONE.”
I stood up and pressed my hands to the table. “You lost my dog.”
My mother stared at me.
I stared at her.
“Call it even?” she suggested.
I grinned. “Sounds good.” I enjoyed every bit of it
I find Garman to be an excellent storyteller and laughed a lot at the wacky things that happened in the first book of this series. I also laughed quite a bit during the first part of this book, about Sibby's experience with camping. Unfortunately, after a promising beginning, I didn't like this book nearly so much, and that's on me. I'm really not interested in books where the main story is about people wanting to have children and everything surrounding their resulting pregnancy (or their inability to become pregnant, although that's not an issue with this book), and that's really the the narrative focus of this book. Had I bothered to read the summary before buying the book, I would have known that and I wouldn't have bothered picking it up.
For the part of the book that I did read, I found that Garman's writing continued to be well-paced and well-plotted and the personalities of the characters remained the same as they were in the first book of this series. Readers who liked the first book and who enjoy reading about the experiences of couples and how they deal with a pregnancy will undoubtedly find this book hilarious and engaging. I myself was reminded of the importance of reading the summaries of books written by an author, regardless of how much I like other books they have written.
Classic Sibby. Entertaining, funny and the right balance of Sibby's Law.
Sibby Slicker is a bit of a play on city slicker although not all of it actually takes place in the city. I thoroughly enjoyed seeing Sibby so much out of her element while camping, even if it was sort of glamping. Of course there has to be a few twists and turns along the way. I loved how the relationship between Sibby and Alden evolved get still seemed fresh. They understand each other and their personalities really compliment each other. I also liked the interactions and friendship that was introduced between Stacey and Sibby it has just the right level of conflict to start. The only thing I didn't enjoy about this book was pretty much the entire interaction between Annie and Caleb. I realize that stories do require some added drama, and it might have been meant to mirror the new book Sibby is trying to publish, but the reasons given did not IMO justify/explain the behaviour. Without that I would have given a solid 5 stars.
I loved the first book...Sibby and Aidan were fantastic in that book. This second book...not so much. I only made it to 30% before I put this book down.
Sibby is very immature, shallow, and childish in this book. First, she makes a huge deal about a camping trip that Aidan wants to take for vacation...which I was able to roll my eyes at and proceed past. But while on this trip, Aidan reveals that he wants to have a baby with Sibby...and she reacts in such an immature manner that it gets to the point where Aidan becomes worried she might divorce him because they want different things. Aidan is too great to be treated the way Sibby is treating him. I get that she's not ready for kids, but she doesn't have to be so childish about it.
I couldn't make myself finish this book. I hope things work out for Aidan because he is a gem and really deserves it. Sibby needs to grow up.
In this charming sequel to Tales of a New York Waitress, Sibby and Aiden find that their HEA is anything but smooth sailing. Oh so happily married, they still have a few life decisions to fret and stress about, though they seem to always stop short of outright arguing. Aiden is beyond patient with his lovely wife, which gives Sibby the room to navigate her own complicated feelings before stumbling into the answer her husband is hoping for. Hijinks abound along the way, complete with camping adventures, canine interruptions, sneaky fans, overwhelming in-laws, and of course, another viral internet scoop. Underneath it all lies a solid foundation of emotional strength, wonderfully quirky characters, and a birds-eye view of life in the big city. I truly enjoyed this lovely story. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.
I finished Sibby Slicker. I was happy to find out what ‘Sibby’ was short for. I was able to read through this book as quickly as I did the first only because I wanted it to get better. OMG - the lusting between Sibby and Aidan got ANNOYING. I was disappointed that there was no venue regarding a wedding and the planning of that. I could imagine that would make Sibby’s head spin. Didn’t like what happened to Annie’s character. I felt like the scenario between Annie and Caleb could have been flushed out a bit more verses ‘flushed down the toilet’. I think the highlight of this book (for me) was introducing Jasper into the mix. Who doesn’t love a rescued dog! As well as the scene on the subway with the Folgers container. I could absolutely feel Sibby’s pain. Despite not being as hyped up about Sibby 2. I truly look forward to Sibby 3.
Oh...My...God! Sibby’s going camping! Having been on a few great camping trips and a couple that were disasters, I laughed my butt off! Her sweetest-in-the-whole-world husband, Aiden, made everything as pleasant as possible, and still the Queen Of Klutz manages to find trouble. Then she gets hit with Aiden’s true agenda...he wants a baby. Sibby freaks!
Sibby has more to freak out about than Aiden wanting a baby. Her best friend, Annie, and Aiden’s best friend and business partner, Caleb, are fighting. Oy! It’s a mess. All Sibby wants right now is a puppy.
I loved this story from page one of Queen Of Klutz (my review of that book can be found here.) My opinion has only gotten stronger with this addition, and I’m going after book three as soon as possible. Grab your copies now and...
There better be a goddamn third book because there are a billion unanswered questions. This felt like the middle book to a trilogy. So.... only three stars.
Aidan and Sibby get married; Caleb and Annie are living together.
Much to Sibby's chagrin and stupidity she agrees to go camping with Aidan and that's where things fall apart. He wants a child; she wants to stay married and have one eventually. She gets a rash and breaks her wrist in a span of 2 weeks. And then she gets pregnant. And I'm wondering how these two NEVER discussed children before getting married.
Lots happens in this book, but does not get resolved. Caleb and Annie? Birth? Names? Her Career? Where will they live/Will they leave Brooklyn? How this the apartment burn down? How's Jasper?
Sibby is back with more laughs for us. Her and Aiden are enjoying married life and their new jobs. It took a bit to realize how much time had passed but it worked. Sibby and Aiden are both in ruts which would make it seem like more time had passed. Aidens wants to take Sibby on a camping trip. Sibby does not do outdoor but agrees to go. While there Aiden drops the bomb that he wants to start a family. Sibby isn’t ready to lose herself to motherhood and give up her writing. Even though she is in a rut she is determined to make it work. A freezing night leads to an ineffective condom and a misstep leads to a broken wrist. Never a dull moment for Sibby. The downside to this book was Caleb and Annie’s story and a lot of missing pieces.
Ooh i absolutely adore Sibby and Adrian. This book did not disappoint and made me more eager to read more of Sibby and Adrian. The story starts a year after the last book ended. Sibby and Adrian are now married. They are both doing rather well in their respective careers. Adrian now feels that they should have a child. How will he persuade Sibby to have a baby? Lots of surprises takes place in the story and Sibby’s Law is still in effect. We are introduced to more supporting characters such as Stacy. They all add to the enjoyment of this story. I really want more of Sibby and Adrian.
Sibby is a law unto herself. The things that happen to this woman are just unbelievable, hilarious, jaw dropping and endearing.
Throughout all of this she has the unflappable, adorable Aiden by her side, building her up, talking her down and generally being the foil to all her craziness.
This is such an enjoyable sequel to Queen of Klutz. I could read more books about Sibby’s adventures quite happily. I’m sure there’s so many more situations she could find herself in.
I have literally just read both Sibby books in 24 hours and I just want more!! Now don’t get me wrong there were a few points in reading this one that I sat here and thought where is this going?! The answer was every where and no where. In the end that is the beauty of it. These characters are burned into me now and I just want to know what they are up to and get these glimpses into their lives because they, let’s be real- mostly Sibby, are a beautiful disaster and what I love most about life.
I. Loved. This. Book! Sibby is a fantastic character that has all sorts of crazy things happen to her because of "Sibby's Law". Hysterical camping trip, followed by friend drama, followed by pregnancy, followed by emergency surgery, followed by.... Well you get the point. But the ending. Wait. I need more. Wayyyyy more. So could you write another, like Sibbyhood, where it features her as a mom and what she encounters?!?! Please?!?! Ok, will be waiting not so patiently.
I couldn’t stop reading, I finished both books in a day and I need more 😩 please tell me there’s another one coming!
I was so torn with this one to the first one, I felt bad for Aiden so many times 🥺 he adores and loves her more than anything there’s no denying that I hope she doesn’t push him away or take him for granted.
I hated how Annie was with Caleb I 100% get why but I also feel like she didn’t “try” she just ran away, I was rooting for them having a happy ending because you can tell he loves her.
Sibby is funny, sarcastic, unassuming, loyal to a fault, gentle (for the love of dog bellies), kind of whiny, a little selfish, sometimes needy, ....yes she is ALL of these things and more! A genuine character that is relatable with friendships that feel real and believable as well. Swoon worthy love without the need to have some horrible twist that requires a rescue. Love all things about this book and can't wait for more!
I LOVE Sibby & Aiden’s story! I enjoy watching their lives unfold. The many twists and turns, from the beginning of their relationship, through marriage and now on the cusp of parenthood. I beg and implore upon you to PLEASE continue their story!! I’m so in love with this couple, their family and friends that I cannot wait to see/read what happens next! Thank you for your creative mind!!!
This is my first time leaving a review and I have to say that sibby reminds me of me lol I fell over my own feet and broke my elbow a week before I was due to be maid of honour at my mum's wedding then a year later done it again a week before my own wedding lol. I can't wait for book 3 and see how sibby and aidan handle twins and to see what happens with Annie and caleb and if they get back together.
Seriosuly, I can't believe I hadn't picked these up earlier... Now I'm bummed I have to wait til April to read the third book! I love Sibby and Aiden and just, everything. I can't wait to see how Sibby messes up next. Literally devoured this in just over 5 hours. And I had a meal in that time... Anyway, point is, I loved it. Highly recommend this series if you're looking for [over the top] hilarity and a sweet romance.
Should have ended the Sibby story after book 1. It’s a shame when the only people I care about in this book are Caleb and Annie. This book had no point and was a complete and utter waste of time. It didn’t contribute to the relationship or story. And Sibby is a whiny bitch about everything. There is no way their relationship will work long term with her being a child. Quit while you’re ahead next time.
This girl has worst the luck, but this best attitude Lucille Ball would have to take a back seat to Sibby and now. (you will have to find out that part yourself.) Annie was a big disappointment and I'm hoping her and Caleb work things out. I want to say more but I don't want to give away the good stuff. I will say I love Samantha writing style, quick, funny, unexpected... Looking forward to the next book.
I loved Tales of a New York’s Waitress and the sequel did not disappoint! I flew through Tales of a Sibby Slickeer slicker in two days. Garmen’s books are fun & easy to read. Sibby is extremely likable, as are the supporting characters. I have a new favorite author & book series!
