Billiards Skills Competition Training Program: Cue Sports Testing Curriculum and Competitive Challenge Shootouts

Rate this book
Most sports use statistics to evaluate skills. For example, basketball counts free throw attempts versus successes. In the pool and billiards cue sports, there is no clear system to statistically evaluate personal skills and abilities and those of other players. This book provides that objective evaluation system for pool and billiards players.

This is an objective evaluation system. Test groups include progressively difficult shots. A testing process determines your current skills. A log allows you to compare previous history to current abilities.

There are two levels of Intermediate and Advanced.

Included are instructions for a Referee for group challenges among buddies or as a side challenge as players wait for matches to begin. Players can challenge local shooters and any other player across the planet.

Scoring system can be

Skills Measurement - The test groups identify current playing skills with actual results. The testing process uses multiple attempts that remove the luck factor and reveal reality.

Self-Knowledge - Because the test groups strip away fuzzy personal assumptions, the player can make more intelligent table decisions.

Personal Training Program - Test groups with low scores identify what areas must be improved. A personalized skill development program can be developed, based on results.

Competitive Skills Comparison - players compare their individual skills. Competitions can occur in person or (with referees), internationally. This can be done within in a casual competition or formal tournament environment.

All of my books are written to fit the needs of players. There are books for beginners, intermediate shooters, and advanced competitors. When you purchase a book and discover it is either ahead or behind your current skills, please return the book and no worries. If you like the book, do a review about how it advanced your skills and/or knowledge.

Most of my books are about pocket billiards and carom billiards. It is my life's purpose to promote cue sports. I've written many useful books and produced many videos - all to advance that purpose. In addition to these efforts, I am also active on the Instructors Committee of the PBIA (Professional Billiards Instructors Association).

The Billiard Gods blog is the biggest pool blog on the planet (search for Billiard Gods and you'll get dozens of hits). Each week, I put out multiple posts - about videos, table drills, playing exercises, about the philosophy of competition, and useful knowledge.

Feel free to take advantage of these posts. When you identify an area of interest where you need more information, please buy the book or books that focus in that area.

My life does include other interests. I have published book about Team Sports, Politics, Business Marketing, and even Cooking.

Thank you for your consideration and time.
