brendan was born in 2105 and the narrative was all "fOur ThouSand YeArS" but it's only the year 2500-something?? how did this grievous error get past the author and whoever (if anyone did) beta read or edit it?

also, there was so much misogyny which is mega weird seeing as it was written by a woman, and everything was just a bit Yikes. i'm also highly sceptical of futuristic societies that have a monarchy, especially when there is no actual reason for it and it's just like Yeah This Is a Monarchy, and Britain is an empire again but we aren't going to explain why.

just seemed half-baked and unedited.

Somnus is a Sci-Fi M/M Romance novel written by the lovely Annya Ginger. My first impression of this ebook novel was that it definitely needs a good editor and proofreader. There are numerous spelling and grammar errors. There are some parts of the story I feel need further exploration and you were left kind of filling in many blanks. I think a good editor could greatly improve the overall quality of the book and telling of the story.

I was getting a bit confused at time with who Brendan, the main character, was more interested or attracted to. The love triangle was a bit scattered and wondered, at times, in which direction the author was trying to guide me, the reader. I felt for him, he is an empathetic soul, but I had to sit back a few times to process the feelings the story was attempting me to actually feel. I am starting to feel I may be confused YOU now. Lol. I am trying to give a decent opinion without revealing the story itself, so you can gauge your own opinion.

I understand this is the first is what is to be a series. Possibly in the additional books there will deeper character development, more detail and definitely better editing. I like the plot itself, the jealously, the sex😏, the intrigue and the relationships and hope that the get the deeper focus. I believe with a little time and restructure this could be a successful ebook series.

I felt sorry for Brendan - poor guy wakes up after 4000 yrs and had absolutely no idea what the hell is going on around him.

Prince Larcey came across a little creepy when he started touching Brendan in his unconscious state.

I liked Joshua but he didn’t have many interactions with Brendan. I enjoyed Joshua getting jealous over Larcey getting up close and personal with Brendan.

Brendan was attracted to both Larcey, Joshua and at times it was hard to tell who he had a stronger attraction too. The love triangle was intriguing but I wanted one of the guys to stand out more.

Many things were touched upon but not fully explored. Quite a lot of focus was given to the King but he bored me, I was more curious about the love triangle.

There were several editing issues but they didn’t hinder my enjoyment of the book.

I enjoyed this book and will definitely continue reading the series.

This could've been a good book.

The synopsis gave this book possibilities which the author didn't deliver.
There are missing words in incomplete sentences, bad grammar, and spelling mistakes. It needs a good run through with an editor or at the very least, a proofreader.
