To most, it’s a curse. To her, it’s salvation.
Raina has a twisted secret. To others, Halloween is supposed to be a fun holiday. But to the innocent-looking blonde, it’s a time for deadly tricks and debauched treats. For only on Halloween can her gift be used.
She calls herself a skin changer—one who revels in stealing the skin of those who’ve died. Raina knows she’s deranged and unhinged, but the curse always has its way.
With this addiction, comes a terrible price, one she is forced to pay.
(Disclaimer: This short, dark omegaverse story is not for the faint of heart or for those under 18 years of age. There is no happily ever after here. Some scenes contain graphic sexual content, foul language, and violence. So grab your copy today!)
Ivy Chapman has always been irresistibly drawn to the damned. Recently, she discovered a not so secret passion for the dark and depraved reads. Ivy has entirely too much fun delving deep into the twisted and corrupt. Though she does occasionally surface long enough to publish her next unhappily ever after.
I was very curious about this author, her Omegaverse is what attracted me to her the most. I wonder if this series is the right choice to start with.
Raina learned to use her magic when she was seven years old on the day of Halloween. She can take the skin of the dead, changing her features and dynamic but with a price only she can see. The consequences didn't matter until she steals the skin of a dead Omega.
This book is dark Omegaverse. HEA is not offered yet. Horror is the background, frightening is the deed, this would not be everyone's choice of read. I enjoyed this change of Omegaverse. It's a short novella length book. Appreciate the cover too!

This is Omegaverse, if you don’t know what it is, please take the time to look it up before you judge this book. It may not be everyone’s cup of tea but it’s DEFINITELY Mine. *Grins*
I Received A Copy of This Book From Author to Read & Review. I Give this Book a 3.5 out of 5 Stars, Listing it as 4.
This Book is Dark and Forkin Awesome, I honestly cant tell you why but I’m craving more! I have no idea what’s going on other that it’s a very interesting Omegaverse.
Heat: 3/5 Romance: 0/5, it’s Book 1 After All Drama: 5/5 Suspense: 5/5 Dark: 4/5 HEA(?): Not Yet Cliffhanger(?): Yes! And I Can’t Wait For Book 2!
Definitely will be reading more from this Author! :D
Not what I hoped for and pretty disappointing. Usually I enjoy DE Chapman's book and I love dark, dark romance. This book was uneven, choppy, and felt rushed in sections. The ending was a "what the what??" that was just odd. Not a fan of this book, but still a fan of DE Chapman.

This book is not what I was expecting it to be. It is definitely a horror story and very dark.
Raina does take on the skin of the dead, and she pays a price that no one but her can see. But this price doesn't stop her from doing it again every year. She first discovers her secret at a very young age. And you also finds out that Raina isn't exactly right on the head from the beginning. . .
Usually she is smart about who she picks to become, but this Halloween she is in too much of a hurry and doesn't pay attention. And she pays a steeper price then she ever has before. . .
This is omegaverse, but don't go into this expecting a normal omegaverse story. This is definitely a horror story and there will be no happy ending. . . You have been warned!
After reading the mixed reviews I thought I'd give it a try and OMG I'm so glad i did. I was hooked from the 1st paragraph and couldn't put it down. It's only a short book but it's definitely got a punch to it and it's not for the faint harted but if you've got a weird horror fetish as I have then this is for you. My only complaint is that I've now to wait till October for book 2 to be released but the upside to that is it's released the day after my birthday. This is the 1st book of hers ive read but will definitely not be the last.
Well I waited for the second book and it’s worth it. This book takes up where the first book ends in hell. Aiden and the ever silent Lukas tell Raina what is happening and why. Aiden’s plan is coming along perfectly. Raina is plotting her plan of her to repay the demon for his generosity. This book is true to the first book Skinned Deep. It has love, hate and a baby. I would recommend this book for those that have a strong stomach. Now all I have to do is to wait for the third book!
Originally, this book was two shorter novellas and I happened to end up reading the second one before the first one. I've been meaning to read the first one but never got around to it so when I saw she had combine the two shorter books into this longer one, I jumped at the opportunity to read it since I really did enjoy what I read and wanted to know what I missed in the first part. Very interesting take on the Omegaverse. Really worth the read.
This story is unlike anything I've read before and I've read a lot of Omegaverse. A lot of them are dark and emotional but none have had the twisty horror take that this one does. I must admit that I'm here for it! It's disturbing in the best way. It makes you uncomfortable and yet you can't put it down. The writing is fantabulous, the characters are complex, the sexiness is crazy intense, and the darkness is taken to a whole other level. I loved it!
Skinned Deep: A Dark Halloween RH Omegaverse (Cursed Flesh Book 1) by D.E. Chapman is a great story to read. This is book number one in this great start to a brand new series that I have enjoyed reading. I recommend this story to everyone what is over 18, fantasy and dark romance.

The beginning of the story is a bit slow. I'm not a big horror fan, so I had difficulty with some of the concept. But I enjoyed the twists and turns in the adventure!
