Andy Simpson never expected to be raising his teenage twin sons alone. Then again, he also never expected to walk into his house and see his wife with another man. In their bed. Or that it wasn’t her first time. Bitterness threatened to wrap around his heart, darkening every part of his life. But a brightness he wasn’t even looking for entered their lives and wouldn’t let it take hold. Christine Jameson knew all about being a single parent. But she was holding a secret. A secret she wasn’t willing to allow anyone to find out. One she’d held tight for years. But one look at Andy, and she knew that she needed to be honest with him. That he de-served to know he wasn’t alone. They both needed friendship. Needed someone who understood, who had compassion without judgement. What they didn’t imagine was for it to become something more. That they would come to share something they never thought they would experience again. They didn’t expect for it to… Feel Like Home.

5 stars!

I freaking LOVED this book!
A gorgeous romance between an older couple – both single parents of teenagers – that have been burned badly by love, this relationship is full of emotion, fun, laughs, passion and intensity, it’s functional and heartwarming, and OMG the swoon! I devoured this book, completely caught up in the love story, and I absolutely loved it!

Andy’s world comes grinding to a halt when he finds his wife in bed with another man. He knows it’s not the first time, in fact his marriage has been in trouble for a while, but seeing it is something else entirely. He wants her gone, but when his wife takes off with no thought to him or their 14-year-old twin boys, he is left reeling at her heartlessness, and starts to descend into bitterness.

It’s the owner of the local coffee shop, Christine, who comes to his rescue. As an acquaintance/almost friend, Andy and Christine have known each other for years, but haven’t really gotten to know each other. When Christine is there for Andy when he needs somebody to lean on, it creates a spark which slowly starts to simmer.

Christine has been on her own with her now-18-year-old daughter for some years following the death of her husband. She is hiding her own dark secret, one that she reveals to Andy that draws them even closer together, and as she continues to offer her support, a friendship forms and true feelings begin to develop.

I didn’t realize I was looking for something. I felt content in the life that I was living, and then Andy walked in and shook everything up, everything that I thought I knew.

She’s just…everything that I never knew I wanted. Needed.

I love these two. Absolutely freaking love them! I love their strength, their wit and their humour. I love that they are single parents with great kids. I love that Christine is 41 and Andy is 35 and they don’t care. I love that even though they are more ‘mature’ than a lot of couples in romance, they are still playful, lively and juvenile at times. And I love that they follow their hearts with no stupid or game playing, both of them acknowledging what they are feeling and just go with it.

“Christine?”
“Andy?”
“I won’t ask you now. But you gotta know, when I’m free of (her)?”
“Yes?”
“Be ready.”

It’s refreshing and exciting, and creates a spine-tingling romance as we just sit back and embrace the UST-filled build-up and watch it all happen for them.

“I know I’m not divorced. Yet. But I’m not asking you on a date. Yet. Truth time?”
“Always.”
“We’re not dating but we’re dating, yeah?”

I reveled in chemistry between these two! I could feel the attraction between them, and I loved the ease and natural shift from sort-of-friends to friends to so much more. It was realistic and beautifully paced, I loved the way their kids were brought into the relationship, and I just thought the whole thing was absolutely perfect as they found their new home with each other!

He rests his forehead on mine. “Thank you,” he whispers.
“For?”
“Being mine.”
… “Am I? Yours?”
“You are,” he says, voice firm. “Just as much as I’m yours.”
“I like the sound of that.”
“Me, too.”

Another shout-out to Andy because I just love him! He’s kind-hearted and affectionate, single-minded when it comes to what he wants, and brave enough to go after it. He’s flirty and a bit crude, respectful yet dirty, and so freaking funny. And OMG, the man had me in swoony heaven more than once.

“You’re it for me. I can’t believe I spent so many years without knowing that, without you in my life and taking over my thoughts. But I want you to know, this isn’t just some passing thing for me. This is everything.”

With the messy tangle of their pasts there is some drama, but it is blessedly short-lived, and the resolution is incredibly satisfying and gives a great opportunity for some character development, so it fits with the story nicely and it didn’t bother me too much.

“I’m not saying I won’t fall again, but I won’t stay down. I’ll always rise up to you.”

I loved the inclusion of Andy and Christine’s kids. They are well-developed characters, and Andy’s boys in particular have a beautiful storyline that is all their own and that enhances the theme of family beautifully. I teared up a couple of times during their ups and downs, and I thought they added a lot to the story. And I’m excited that Christine’s daughter, Bri, will be getting her own book up next!

This book is a standalone but be aware that it ties in to the author’s other work. The side characters in this book have backstories, and I personally prefer to read these sorts of inter-connected standalones in order so that I can follow the characters’ stories in the order they were written in. But even though I haven’t read any of the author’s other work, Andy and Christine’s story stands strongly on its own, and I didn’t feel that their romance was lacking anything by not having read the other books. In fact, the fact that I loved this book so much makes me want to go back and read the other books, and I’ll be getting on to those as soon as I can!

This was a wonderful read that I couldn’t put down. I loved Andy and Christine’s story, and that epilogue left me with tears in my eyes and a massive grin on my face.

Absolutely beautiful – 5 stars!

Very mature romance alas the book is not for me.

I have a soft spot for books with children in them. I can't really say what it is but there is just something about them.

The book started off strong and I was enjoying the characters that is until they started sharing how their former spouses cheated on one another. Some readers might say that it wasn't that bad and whereas that may be the truth it was just too much for me.

The MCs are strong and likeable and are sweet together, but it was S-L-O-W going peeps, any slower and a snail would have passed us by.

The author writes well and has a strong foundation, but she also writes realistic and real life romance. This is just me that is not what I am always looking for. I like a balance between the romance being realistic and not plodding along with every step of the relationship that they take, some things for me could have been left out.

I know they go from acquaintances to friends to very good friends to lovers and I have respect for the Hero not cheating on his wife with the heroine even if his soon to be ex-wife cheated on him.

Just because I wasn't keen on this book doesn't mean that YOU won't be.

It’s official. I have a new author to obsess over!

I love this book. I loved the characters. I loved the story. It was so good!

The issue I had was the time hops. I felt like there was a lot of “it’s been three since...” or “it’s been four since...” and it seemed quite frequent.
I’m not a fan of jumping around.

And there were times when I got lost in the dialogue. There would be three or four people talking but you didn’t know who was saying what.
Maybe if I had read the earlier books, I would’ve known the characters more and figured out who was saying what but I don’t know...?

Other than those two things, this book was perfect to me. The writing was there. The story kept me interested. I mean, I was up reading until after 4 AM and the. Woke up at 8 to finish. I didn’t want to stop!

I can’t wait to go back and read the other books and I am so ready for Grady and Bri’s story!! Holy cow! I need it now!!!!

I've followed this series, and Jennifer Van Wyk, from the beginning and think this is her best work to date. From the first page of the prologue, I couldn't put it down. Andy and Christine have a beautiful friendship that blossoms into love, and I admire how Jennifer can show how love in your 30s and 40s could be just as passionate and explosive as when you're young, maybe even more so. Christine was tough and sweet and exactly what Andy needed (loved the younger man dynamic as well, as I don't think we see that enough in romance) and love how this series shows real, good men and how amazing they could be. There were swoony moments, hot AF scenes, and twists that had me sneak reading at work to find out what happens next. Don't miss this wonderful story!

This book was just everything. I had so much work to do the day I read it but I had such a hard time putting the book down for more than five minutes and I was sneaking in more reading because I just had to know what happened next.

This book at times is hard emotionally. It has a lot to do with Andy's sons, which just broke my heart. I can't tell you too much about the book because you need to take the journey yourself in order to really get the real feels, the emotions throughout. This is one of those books that it's better going in blind and just experience it.

Andy is... sigh, where to even begin. He's torn and shattered but with Christine, he begins to become him again. And ***fanning myself*** this single dad is H. O. T. Christine although she had been through a similar situation is strong and feisty, yet when her vulnerability shows through, it can break you.

Highly recommend this book and author. ADORE!!!

É ok, escrita gostosinha. O conflito já ocorre no início então o restante é só calmaria. Lá pela metade acontece um probleminha mas é tão fraco o argumento, que dei uma desanimada. Nem quero ler o livro da filha, rs

ARC kindly provided by author.

This is my first read by this autor and I really liked it.
It was quite easy connecting to these characters even if I never experienced similar fate. (at least not up until this point in my life).
It just felt real... and mature... no over the top drama.
Both main characters have endoured tragic thingsin their lives and I enjoyed reading about finding love again.
If you love books with single parents, this one is for you!

Feels Like Home is a breath of fresh air in a world of romance focusing on the younger generation. The romance of Andy and Christine is not only realistic, it is encouraging. This love story reminds us that no matter the choices we make in young love, it is the lasting and truest love that completes us. Andy and Christine find that sometimes life isn't fair and rarely goes as you planned but when you find the person you want to share the ups and downs with, it is sweeter the second time around. Christine reminds us that love and life after forty is only the beginning and sometimes, just sometimes, when you open your heart, a sexy man (with a man bun) will sweep you off your feet.

Van Wyk has a natural ability of drawing in the reader and making you feel each emotion as if you're living it. I cannot recommend this sweet romance enough.

This is a romance with a difference, firstly its about more mature couple. We also have the blending of two families, and all the strife that can cause.
Andy is a 35 year old hottie that comes home and finds his wife having sex with another man. So there is drama especially caused by the ex-wife.
This is about two people who come together and discover love, and a second chance.
Christine seem too good to be true, if you want a sweet story with a more mature theme, and life after divorce, and finding love again. Unfortunately the echoes of past hurts coming back to affect you when you least expect it.
This a sweet story of finding love, and more idealist view of blending families, but entertaining all the same.
I received an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review:

Feels Like Home is Jennifer Van Wyk's newest masterpiece. I have read a few of Jennifer's books and her writing is getting better, her characters more developed and the storylines more addicting. It's no secret that I have strong love for James. Sigh. But Andy is definitely giving James a run for his money! All that sexiness, the hair, the tool belt. He caught his wife cheating and now his marriage is over. He's raising his twin boys on his own and doing a great job. He's always found Christine attractive and nice and now that they have bonded over a shared experience, she's slowly becoming the light in his life. He's taking things slow because he will not be a cheater and that's ok. It's a slow burn. Fun foreplay. Christine lost her husband years ago and she's also a single parent. Becoming friends with Andy has changed her life. She's happier. Things just look better. It's hard to take it slow. Andy is one sexy man and she wants to get her hands on him. But it's better this way. She's becoming friends with the boys. Her daughter and Andy are bonding and the boys and her daughter are acting like siblings. When his divorce is final, Andy can't stay away from Christine anymore. He needs her like air. Like the sun. Like home. Every relationship has its obstacles, but Andy and Christine face things no one should. Will they make it out the other side in tact? Will secrets and lies try to stop their love? I loved this story! Andy almost always knows the perfect thing to say at the perfect time. He's sexy, sweet, funny and such a great father. Christine is beautiful, funny and loves her daughter so much. I loved that she's older than him! I also loved watching these families come together. It just warmed my heart. Overall, this is a story about second chances. When you find the one you're meant to be with is just feels like home.

He lifts the hem of his shirt to wipe the sweat from his brow, and my mouth goes dry. I feel my jaw go slack and eyes wide. When he drops his shirt, he winks, letting me know he caught me staring but doesn’t seem to mind one bit.

I can’t live without you. I’m not saying I won’t fall again, but I won’t stay down. I’ll always rise up to you.”

I really wanted to love this book. It has a great story and great characters and I love the single parents trope. I like the way the drama was developed but my only problem was with the dialogues. These characters were so mushy lovingly sweet that I felt like I was going to get a tooth cavity! Andy and his group of friends are such decent human beings, they were too good to be true! They were nosy and gossipy and they had some funny moments, but when they show support they sort of pile it on too much. Then by contrast, when Andy tells off his soon to be ex-wife, he’s harsh and loud. Way over to the other spectrum of feelings.

This is the first book I read by this author, and this seems to be part of a series. The other couples have had their stories and they seem like a closed-knit group. I love these stories but the mushy part is exploded and the conflict part underscored, IMO. Also the lawyer scenes need to be more real. When Andy is at the negotiating table with Heather and the lawyers, he ends up talking more than his lawyer and that’s not the way things happen in court.

When the book starts, Andy caught his wife having sex in their bed, in their house, with another man. Andy throws them both out of the house and announces the end of their marriage to Heather. He also announces that he’s keeping their twin boys with him and will ask for full custody. Then he drives over to the coffee shop where Christine works and informs her of what happened.

Christine is also a single parent, with a teenage girl. In her case, she widowed some three years ago. They commiserate and start a flirtation that goes on to a close friends relation and keeps on developing. Andy had always been attracted to Christine but hadn’t acted on his attraction because he’s a faithful husband. Now that he’s going to serve divorce papers to Heather, all bets are off and he’s pursuing the woman of his interest.

As they get closer and their kids meet and bond together, the lovey-dovey mood of the book continues ad nauseam for quite a while. Then Heather comes back to give trouble and throw a stick in their gears. Now they have to fight with the aftermath of the havoc Heather caused and even more, deal with an important bit of information that Christine hadn’t told Andy. It was a great book even if sometimes I got annoyed at the sweetness, but the characters, specially the kids, made up for the extra sugar. For readers who love small town romances and very positive books with little angst, this will be a great read for them.

Oh my.... I am so in love with this book, with this series, with this author! Prior to this book I had read A Better Place, which is the second in the series. I finished this book yesterday and immediately had to go read the first of the series, From the Ground Up. Let me tell you, Ms. Van Wyk has me in a book bubble, one I don’t want out of. I’m now re-reading book 2, which I know will lead to another reading of this beautiful story. I am just that hooked on how she spins her words, and thus her world. I hope Jennifer is prepared for a super stalker reader.... 💕

I loved everything about Andy and Christine, and found myself falling fast and hard as they were for each other. Andy’s boys, Aidan and Reece, along with Christine’s daughter Bri, only enhanced my love for this blended family. I cried at several areas but OMG. I laughed too! There was one particular section that had me laughing hysterically, tears rolling down my cheeks, shaking and howling. It was late at night so needless to say my husband wasn’t too amused. I am so excited for more books from this amazing author, not just in this series but about whatever she chooses to write. I’ll be there, ready to read it all.

Feels Like Home by Jennifer Van Wyk is afull length, standalone romance novel.
Andy Simpson raises his teenage sons alone, his wife left the family and lives her own life. He´s more than furious of her behavior.
Christine Jameso is a coffee shop owner, widow and mom of a teenage daughter. Both connect over their grief and develop feelings for each other. But Andy´s still married.
Christine is a bright ray of sunshine, she brightens not only Andy´s day, his boys love her as well. But Christine hides a secret that threatens to destroy their relationship. When Andy finds out what happened he bhlows his lid and hurts the people around him deeply.
Feels Like Home is just that. I started reading the book a nd it was just like coming home. The writing is excellent and the characters are lovable. The story sucked me in and had a great time reading this wonderful book. I give 5 stars !

I absolutely Loved Feels like Home. Christine is a single mom who owns the local coffee shop. She is fun, loving, a great mom, and a great friend to have. Andy is about to go through a divorce, he finds himself inside the coffee shop and ends up discussing what’s going on with Christine. They quickly build a friendship and end up spending a lot of time together. I adore Andy’s teenage son’s Aidan and Reece, I quickly come to love their characters and actually end up feeling sad for them and Andy and everything they have to deal with. However they have a ray of Sunshine and Hope and that tends to come from being around Christine. The banter and tension that are in this book are wonderful, there is never a dull moment. This book had so many scenes that literally had me laughing out loud. If you have read the other two books before this one you have already met their friends Tess, Barrett, Carly, James, Lauren and Josh, they are also in this book and help just add so much more. I could not put this book down, can not say enough good things about this it and would highly recommend you read it!!

"I need to find an Andy". That was my thought after finishing Feels Like Home. After having his world turned upside down Andy doesn't know how he's ever going to be okay again. Christine has been through more than most people would be able to handle and she's done it without letting it destroy her. Can two broken people find the strength and the pieces to put each other back together? You will hurt with them. You will cry for them, and you will hope for them to find their happily ever after. Does it happen? Read their story to find out. I promise you won't be disappointed.

Gah! Where do I even start?

Jennifer Van Wyk stole my heart with her debut novel and you know what? She can keep it. I know I’m in good hands when I pick up one her books.

Feels Like Home was a refreshing, gut wrenching, heart soothing read. I loved the tender moments, the light-hearted humor, and the slow building passion between Andy and Christine. The dynamics between them and their kids only made me love this story even more.

Hands down this is Van Wyk’s best book to date.

Feels Like Home is Jennifer Van Wyk's best work yet. Andy and Christine were so relatable and I found myself rooting for them right from the beginning. This book had me laughing out loud one minute and swooning the next, and dang if I don't want a real-life Andy now! Five feel-good stars!

This is a romance a bit out of place these days with a couple between 35-40 and becomes a second chance. Both Andy and Christine were hurt by love, both have children and weren't really looking for someone. They fall into a wonderful friendship that includes their children building towards more. There are quite a few twists and turns and their support system is full of wonderful colorful characters. Will definitely be reading more of this author. I couldn't put this one down.

Jennifer nails it once again! I absolutely adored and devoured Feels Like Home, her newest masterpiece. I’m not sure I’ve ever read so many relatable and “real” characters as the ones Jennifer Van Wyk creates. Not only are they so down to earth, they’re the fictional characters most all of us would choose as friends in real life.

What starts out as friendship between Andy and Christine soon becomes more when neither can deny their feelings or attraction for each other. Andy is raising twin boys alone and recovering from a terrible marriage, and Christine is a widow, business owner, and single Mom who is about to become an empty nester. Oh my did I relate to her on this!

I loved every single moment of their journey. I swooned hard, laughed out loud, and I shed a few tears. This isn’t your typical second chance romance. This is two remarkable adults finally getting their chance at the happiness they both always deserved. Both not only loving each other but each other’s children as well. Yet, when the past comes back to haunt them both, their relationship and the foundation on which they’ve built it is rocked to its core. Don’t miss out on Feels Like Home. I promise you, you will love it too!

I was lucky enough to receive an ARC... This would be my first Jennifer Van Wyk read.

I have been fortunate enough to receive such great ARC's these past couple of weeks, and this one is no different.

This story revolves around Andy—soon to be divorced, and Christine—a widow. Their lives are sort of intertwined—intertwined because they have the same set of friends; and as the story progresses, there is something else that connects them... But thats all I'm gonna say to avoid spoilers.

I loved that the story was written in a way how a new budding relationship would evolve from a mere normal friendship to a very serious one. Yeah sure, both of them are goodlooking but both of them felt that attraction when they first started to open-up to eachother, and then that attraction evolved into something more.

I admit, it was a wee bit slow-paced for me... Too chronological for a lack of a better word... As a reader, I felt like there are parts that were redundant... like if Andy say's something in his chapter, Christine would repeat it in hers... I dont know... I just felt that there are parts that didnt need to be repeated because its already understood or implied that the scene was connected to that certain part of the story.

Aaaaand, I'm probably over analyzing this but Andy's over-reaction to the gossip was a tad over-the-top... Through the story, I thought Andy would've weighed the situation thoroughly... It wasnt like him to be that way. I thought he was that guy, but his response was disappointing given that it was already understood that he knew his ex very well to react in a crazy way... but I guess it was needed for the dramatic aspect of it.

Overall I did love the story. When I was reading it, I kept on thinking that this should be a Hallmark movie... Its got angst, comedy and romance and a 'lil bit of YA. It's a story about resilience, understanding and fortitude. What more could you ask for? I cant wait for the next book!

I LOVED THIS BOOK! I read so many YA romances, it was refreshing to read a story about more mature characters, single parents dealing with those obligations on top of navigating dating once again. As characters in their 30s/40s, Andy and Christine don't play games with one another. Even when The Conflict arises for this couple, Christine handles it with grace and strength. Andy may have been a jackass about the situation at first, but he eventually mans up and handles it in a mature way.

I absolutely adored Andy and Christine both as individuals, and as a couple. Their relationship was truly born out of friendship and compassion, with Christine knowing exactly what Andy was going through in the aftermath of his wife cheating on him. And because both of their spouses had been unfaithful, the fact that Andy chose to wait until his divorce was finalized before moving past the friend zone with Christine endeared him to me even more. All of the time they spent together as friends, getting to know one another and each other's kids, made them fall in love long before they officially began dating.

Van Wyk did a great job of also incorporating his and her children into the relationship, showing -- not TELLING, which is a huge pet peeve of mine -- how these two single parents blended their family together. The relationship seemed too good to be true -- and since the blurb reveals that Christine is hiding a secret, I was wondering when the other shoe would drop. When it did, I can fully admit, I did not see that twist coming. But in a sense, it was perfect. It was perfect, to help these two people move forward and seal their futures together.

Van Wyk is a new-to-me author, and one that I will absolutely be reading more of. I received an advanced copy and voluntarily left a review.

I love these characters and I love these families. The fact that I get to continuously come back and visit with them every few months never ceases to put a smile on my face. My love for them all grows each and every time. I feel a part of this hilarious group and by the time I’m done reading I’m even more ready to jump into these pages. And I’m always on edge for the next book. And let me tell you, going into these pages and going to Michigan? Well this girl is an Ohio girl so that’s saying something. Even if the town is fictional. But trust me, if I could hang out with a Christine and Andy, Barrett and Tess, James and Carly, and Josh and Lauren? I’d do it in a heart beat!!

Ok now on to Andy and Christine. Let me start off by saying these two just melt my stinking heart! Their own personal journeys have not been easy but their hearts are still open. Open to the possibility and what becomes the reality of each other. The bond these two form? It’s eye opening, heart melting, and just one of a kind. Not only the love for each other but Christine’s love for Aidan and Reece and Andy’s love for Bri. It’s a love that just makes my heart smile. I could go on and on but I don’t want to give anything away. Know that Andy is the sweetest man and Christine has the biggest heart. Together these two make the most amazing couple. And when it’s time to come back and visit this amazing town and amazing characters I’ll so be ready to check in on two of my favorites!! It really does Feel Like Home each time I go back! ❤️

ARC received in an exchange for a review, This is the first book I’ve read by this author and I loved it... I absolutely loved it. It’s a beautiful romance, quite a nice, easy fluffy read... perfect to cleanse the palette, it’s actually a quite a long book to, it has a few twists and turns and some tear jerk moments, but overall it’s an absolutely beautiful story of two people destroyed by heartbreak finding their soulmates!

Andy walks in on his wife Heather in an extremely compromising position with another man, Andy’s life along with his twins are thrown upside down and into complete chaos, Andy stumbles into a coffee shop and bumps into the owner Christine, Andy just needs someone to talk to, little does he know that Christine knows exactly what he’s going through...

the characters are ‘mature aged’ (35+) but easily relatable, and some parts are just absolutely hilarious, it’s not very often I laugh out loud while reading a book, but even if this book isn’t for you... the haunted house is worth the read just for that chapter... hilarious!!

You will fall in love with all the characters in this book, we’ll except for Heather of course but the twins, Bri all the friends... they are all such amazing characters.

I can’t wait for more books about the other characters!

Andy and Christine are perfect!!!

ARC Generously Provided by the Author

Feels Like Home is the third book by Jennifer Van Wyk and i have to say that she is definitely now in my top of favorite authors!! Each one of her book are soo goood!!!

Feels Like Home is the story about Andy and Christine, how they start the journey about finding love after each of them have a difficult situation in the past... Chris with a wife who cheated and Christine who is a widow.

This is the story about who Christine help him to find peace for he and his kids first as a friends but then things start getting better and better and there feeling start to grown and when they arent expecting they find love again!!

This book is BEAUTIFUL!! i love that in this case he is younger than she, but that wasnt something that they feel like an obstacle, beside the difference is not so much!! For me they are perfect to each other and at the end between their kids they have an amazing family even with a little surprise at the end.

So if you like a story about two characters who find love again after their first relationship have a difficult ending, you need to read this book as soon as is live!! I promise youu you will enjoy it so much.

Congrats Jennifer because this book is beautiful!!! and cant wait for your next book!! I'm really excited about it!!!

I am so in love with this quote. It conveys the emotions that are seen from beginning to end.

I’m so screwed with this guy. He says I’m his. And he’s mine. And all I can think is I hope he means it because my heart? It’s lost to him.

The first 50% of this novel could be a complete HEA in itself. The struggle to deal with a loveless marriage and find the spouse cheating is overwhelming. The ability to find that person that can empathize in your lost stage is a gift. Andy and Christine found that gift in each other. Add in the family dynamics of twin 14-year-old boys and an 18 yr old daughter blended into one story gave times of pure hilarity. The scene with the haunted house wax the funniest. My 14-year-old daughter was dozing beside me and looked up to ask if it was really as funny as my snickering made it out to be. It so was. I almost peed my pants. You'll get it when you get to that part.

Jennifer must have teenage boys because there is no way she could have nailed the twins personalities as perfectly as she did otherwise.
The 2nd half begins the nitty gritty down and dirty love story of the book. The beginning leads into a quickly predictable situation. Having said that, it does contain a twist or two.
The guys are my favorites. I love how they are portrayed because it is how I think a group of guy friends really are. A bunch of nosy, gossipy hens.

The ending was well done with the hint at the sequel from a different character in the book, and I am looking forward to reading it! 5 stars!

I have loved this entire series, but I seriously ADORED this book!

Andy walks in on his wife in bed with another man. He had always suspected, but it's not quite the same to think it is happening as it is to see it going in. In your own bed! Not to mention the fact that his teenage twin boys have to deal with the aftermath.

Christine is a single mom to a teenage daughter and owner of Dream Beans coffee shop. She has her own secret betrayal she is dealing with.

Andy walks into Dream Beans needing someone to talk to and Christine fills the bill. She is easy talk to, listens without judgment, and her positive vibe makes him smile through the pain.

One thing leads to another, and love starts to bloom. But just like any real great love, the road isn't straight and smooth. They deal with some issues along the way, some large, some small, that make you wonder if they will actually make it.

Add in the supporting cast from the prior books as the rest of their tribe and it makes for an interesting story.

A great story with some great characters. You'll be rooting for them. You'll laugh. You'll get teary eyed. And you'll wanna get yourself an Andy!

I have become such a huge Jennifer Van Wyk fan and look forward to her new releases, and she's yet to disappoint me as they just get better and better!

After Andy walks in on his wife with another man, he struggles to get his life back on track. Christine is a friend who is there for him whenever he needs to talk, and slowly those feelings of friendship turn into much more...he just needs those darn divorce papers to be signed so they can act on those feelings. The slow sizzle is an agonizing tease, but wow, the smoking hot fire in the end was so worth it!

I always love reading about a more mature couple as their circumstances are often more relatable, and even though I haven't had to deal with some of the things Andy and Christine did, I could definitely still relate and had a laugh or two!

Their group of friends are the characters we've gotten to know and love in Jennifer's other books and they are amazing and funny and I love that we get to continue reading about them.
