Delightful rhyming story of a kid avoiding to go to bed. This picture book would also make a great early reader as it has a lot of repetition and sight words.
Very cute book about a little boy who doesn't want to go to sleep and keeps naming things to take to bed instead of himself. The illustrations were also cute and I especially loved the very last illustration. It made me chuckle. I think this book would be suitable for preschoolers as it is an easy book and also for toddlers since it doesn't have a lot of text making it a fast easy read. I also loved the way the mom got the boy to get to bed. Very clever.
This picture book will bring a smile to all parents who have heard every excuse in the book that young children use to avoid going to bed. It's also a great beginner reader as it contains lots of repetition.
I wasn't too fond of it. I think that I expected something else, entirely. It's great for early readers since it has a lot of repetition, but it just didn't tickle my fancy while reading to my 6-month-old... especially the ending.
The story is based on a bedtime ritual familiar to parents and a child's response - in rhyme. Cassandra Webb writes delightful children's books and Take Ted Instead is no exception.
A fun story for young children as a little boy finds lots of rhyming excuses to avoid his bedtime. Sure to be a bedtime favourite with toddlers and preschoolers.
