Omg….I unequivocally loved this book! Who knew one little accident would flip two people’s lives upside down?!
If you’ve read One Wild Night, you’re left wondering why Elle would miss the premier of her father’s movie. Well, buckle your seat belt because One Wild Ride finally reveals what, or should I say WHOM, happened. This book wastes no time with over-descriptions or irrelevant dialogue and scenes, and gets right into the heart of the story. No zero to one-hundred here…just straight one-hundred from cover to cover.
Elle and Kassius were absolute dynamite! Their chemistry was evident straight away, eliciting a slow-burn of emotions that completely enraptures the reader immediately. Both characters have their strengths– independent, ambitious, and hard-working, and their qualities harmonize together effortlessly, illustrating a long-lost soulmate quality to their unique relationship. But it’s their weaknesses that emerge that gives an emotional and heartfelt quality to the book. And as much as Kas is determined to break down Elle’s walls, it’s up to Elle to realize who Kas really is deep inside his heart and soul, to allow those walls to ultimately crumble.
Intense desire and intrigue detonate from the pages of this sexy and passionate quick read. “Honest to God, this feeling is the only thing that really matters. Everything else can wait.”
Anyone who knows me and knows which authors I rate incredibly highly will not be surprised when I say A. L. Jackson is absolutely one of my top favorites. I will read anything she writes, she could go and write a book about the evolution of grass growing and I would still read it, because I know without a shadow of a doubt that she would turn it into a breathtaking journey, with characters you just love and want to get to know, coupled with flawless writing to compliment the plot. One Wild Ride is book two in the Hollywood Chronicles series which A.L. is collaborating with Rebecca Shea and I really enjoyed the second one as much as I did the first.
Elle Ward is the daughter of one of Hollywood’s most famous and influential directors and she has one rule; never get involved with actors. Elle has no idea what she is in store for when she accidently hits a man on his motorcycle with her car.
The man who was injured on his motorcycle is a smoking hot underwear model called Kas who also happens to be an up and coming Hollywood actor. He is set to become the next big thing in Tinsel Town and has no time for women. Kas is attracted to Elle almost instantly, but Elle has a distrust for Hollywood actors because she had been hurt and taken advantage of by them. She has given her heart out freely only to have actors be with her for all the wrong reasons. So she has built a wall of steel in order to protect her heart.

Kas is determined to become a permanent fixture in Elle’s life. He is determined for Elle to see that he is the real deal and wants to be with Elle for who she really is and not what she is in order to fast track his career. Elle has reservations with good reason, but will she open her heart to Kas and learn to trust again?
I loved both Kas and Elle. Elle is surprisingly strong and independent despite whom her father is, while Kas is swoon worthy beyond all belief; he is sweet, fun and cheeky. They had an intense bond that only grew stronger the more you read and the chemistry was electrifying, it made me believe that true love really does exist and that they belonged together forever.

One Wild Ride was a fun, sweet and fast paced story that kept my interests peaked throughout and was one that I thoroughly enjoyed. If you are looking to read a quick and steamy story to get your romance fix, then look no further than One Wild Ride. Kas is sure to make you swoon.

My Review:
While considered a stand-alone installment, this story runs concurrently and shares characters and parallel storylines with the first in the series, One Wild Night. Both stories were smoking hot and written in my favorite dual POV, although One Wild Ride was painfully angsty, which is just not one of my favorite things. I adored the sweet and swoony Kas, who was hot new face and body in underwear ads. Elle, on the other hand, was a difficult character for me to warm up to, and in fact, I was only able to muster a lukewarm result toward the rather tiresome and distrusting princess.

One Wild Ride is a quick and fun romance. Rebecca Shea and AL Jackson deliver characters to love and a romance to enjoy.
These characters are great. They aren’t overly developed but we know enough to be invested. What will really pull readers in is the banter between Kas and Elle. I like the meet cute and the following interactions. It was sweet and sexy and tons of fun.
The story is short and sweet. The plot is pretty expected based on the background of the characters, and the relationship between the two is insta-everything. I enjoyed it, though, and I loved a lot of the sentiments articulated by the characters.
If you need something fast, something fun, and something romantic, then One Wild Ride fits that bill.

The second instalment in the Hollywood Chronicles series, this is another quick, fast-paced celebrity romance from AL Jackson and Rebecca Shea. It’s fun, sexy and swoonily romantic with a touch of fairytale - as in, switch off from the outside world, and enjoy the wild ride.
This book ties into the first, and actually takes place at the same time, which I thought was really cleverly done. Elle is the best friend of Kaylee from One Wild Night, and she is the one that didn’t show up to her direct father’s Hollywood premiere, leaving Kaylee to literally fall into superstar Pax and start their story.
Well, Elle had her own drama that night, while ogling a hot underwear model on a billboard she backed her car into a man on a motorbike, and what do you know, it’s billboard guy in all of his hotness, who is injured, understandably annoyed, but still surprisingly playful.
Kas the underwear model is immediately smitten by the woman who ran into him, and he uses his broken leg as a way to get close to her, declaring her as his next of kin at the hospital, and moving himself into Elle’s house upon his discharge from hospital so that she can care for him in his temporarily disabled state. It’s completely unrealistic and slightly ridiculous, but for the sake of a quick romance read, I was happy to go along with it because it’s such a fun setup.
Kas wants Elle. He makes no secret of that, and he does everything he can to make it happen. Elle also wants Kas, but when she learns that Kas is trying to break into acting, she refuses to go there with him, having been burnt by people using her and her family connections for selfish reasons. So we have mad attraction, building sexual tension, and no outlet. And the more time they spend together, the more their feelings deepen. It’s a powder keg ready to blow, and we just get to sit back and enjoy the chemistry.
Kas is such a swoony hero! He is beautifully romantic and he’s not afraid to let his feelings out, and I loved that! He’s passionate and sexy, and such a sweet heart, and I loved him!
Elle is a little bit more work. She is scarred deeply from her past experiences and she guards her heart fiercely. Honestly, she annoyed me, and I found some of her reactions to be very extreme and there just for the sake of building drama - which didn’t need to be as intense as it was, and is what stopped me from loving this book. The story already felt a bit surreal, but the conflict was eye-rolling and then ultimately resolved very easily and conveniently.
But it does finish well, with a sweet and satisfying conclusion to the love story, and I liked how it played out in the end (especially loving the tie-in to Jackson’s previous work).

Goddamn if I’m going to let that beautiful girl dismiss what we both just felt.

Kas is such a swoony hero! He is beautifully romantic and he’s not afraid to let his feelings out, and I loved that! He’s passionate and sexy, and such a sweet heart, and I loved him!

Rebecca and Amy really know how to write an entertaining story together.
Elle and Kas meet when she accidentally runs him over. I loved how this whole part played out and how Kas and Elle bantered back and forth. While the situation itself was not funny, they made the most of it and definitely made it less stressful.
I really enjoyed watching this story unfold. Kas is quite the determined man when he wants something but Elle has sworn off men in Hollywood; she's been burned badly before and is not falling for that again.
While I enjoyed watching Kas and Elle banter back and forth and move forward in their lives and their friendship/relationship due to the short nature of the book, it is hard to see the character growth and the deep connection between them.
Overall, I did really enjoy the story and both characters were likeable and real. The story was light, funny and fast paced; perfect for a quick read.

Book # 1, One Wild Night, left us wondering what on earth could have prevented Elle Ward from attending her famous father's movie premiere. Book # 2, One Wild Ride, certainly explained it. From Elle running over Kas, the sweetest guy in the world, and then having to spend the night in the ER with him.
This story is so sweet! Loved it!
Re read for the second time yesterday, 11/7/2023, and I loved it all over again!

One Wild Ride is such a sweet read made incredibly romantic by the hero of this story, Kas. Kas and Elle are adorable together, beginning with their unique version of a "meet-cute", Elle Ward manages to run into Kas, she in her car and he on his motorcycle, as Elle is distracted by his very face on a billboard. Naturally she does the right thing by him, thereupon inviting the injured man into her life.
I spent a good part of this story with the biggest grin on my face. With lines like "How the hell was I supposed to sleep with him after I’d tasted him? All my lady bits fangirled. They totally loved the idea." you're bound to end up snorting a time of 10 while reading this. Plus who doesn't love a man like Kas, one who is persistent in his pursuit of the girl he wants - likely his forever girl? When you know you just know.
But alas, Elle has history with a men in Hollywood who goes for a woman like her for all the wrong reasons. She' has cause toe suspect and a deep seated distrust of the actor type. She's Hollywood royalty, but admirable in that she has found her own way in life. Nevertheless, Kas worms his way in and Elle is very afraid of being taken advantage of. I tell you Kas is absolutely swoony and deserves all the success Hollywood has to offer, but what makes him so deserving has nothing to do with fortune and fame.
This is one of those feel good love stories where your pretty sure you know what's going to happen, but that doesn't take the sting or angst out of it when things go sideways. But these two really are perfect for each other and dare I say it, inevitable.
One Wild Right is a fast moving story and once you start you won't want to put it down. I recommend grabbing your copy now and planning an hour or two with Kas and Elle.

"I think I could look at your face every single day and never get tired of it."
I absolutely loved how Kas and Elle met. She hits him while backing out of a parking spot. The situation itself wasn't funny, however the way they both acted was. Kas has a very fun personality, and he wasn't afraid to show his emotions. Elle, is a bit hesitant because she has been burned by someone who wants to be an actor before. She doesn't want to be used again, so she is a bit stand-offish. However, Kas is determined and knows exactly what to say and do to get under her skin. I absolutely LOVED his personality, he was definitely my favorite character in this book. He was funny, sexy, caring, and he knew he wanted Elle. It didn't take her too long to warm up to him, and see that he wasn't like the other guy who used her. Like the previous book I really enjoyed this story, however because of the length I just can't fully connect with the characters. Also there just isn't enough time to see an organic character growth. It was still done really well, and I thought this story was fun and light-hearted. I am looking forward to the next book in the Hollywood Chronicles!

The abs... betrayed me.
One Wild Ride was one awkward read. Don't get me wrong, this book brought the heat, steam, and the whole kitchen. Yet, I wasn't fully into the characters. Kas, so dreamy and lovable but Elle was a bit different for me. I wanted to like her in the beginning but it definitely took me a while to actually start liking her.
These two were adorable but I didn't like how Elle was assuming things because of her past history. One doesn't do that and it just kind of annoyed me. I was so happy that Kas stuck around and just made her fall in love with him but I also felt a bit bad for him as well. It would of drove me nuts if I was dating someone who did that.. but he's more determined than I am. Or maybe just stubborn?
In the end, I enjoyed this book - I just wished that I fell in love with it.

One Wild Ride is a short and exquisite Hollywood romance! After reading One Wild Night, the first novel in the Hollywood Chronicles, I was intrigued about Elle’s reasons behind her missing the red carpet for her dad’s movie premiere! Well, it’s finally unveiled in this story! With this second collaboration, A.L. Jackson and Rebecca Shea present a swoony romance that is so enjoyable!
Kassius is such a cocky and charming hero. He’s an up-and-coming actor looking for his first big role when Elle crashes into his life! From their meeting, the chemistry between them is potent and Kas uses his best one-liners on her that made me laugh and smile. He’s really sweet and endearing. Having been hurt in the past, Elle is a tough nut to crack and she tries to stay away from him, but Kas’s charismatic qualities are ultimately just irresistible for her. Together they’re so adorable and sexy! While the plotline is amusing and on a lighter tone, there’s also some emotional moments too!
The story being rather short, the relationship between Elle and Kassius is more of an insta-love kind, but I liked it anyway! The characters and storyline were attention-grabbing and entertained me. One Wild Ride is a delicious light read that will certainly appeal to you too!

OMG I loved every moment of this book! I can see the reasoning why Elle is so guarded like she is. Honestly, if I was in the same position, I probably would be the same and not date the Hollywood boys. But there was something about Kas that threw her for a loop. Well, especially how they are thrown together! I had to laugh at that and how Kas played her up just to win her over. There were a lot of ups and downs with these two but their chemistry was beautiful. How their banter made me giggle to their swoon worthy moments!
Overall, this was a great book that I could not put down! Honestly answered some questions I had from the first book in this series and I loved how they coincide with each other! This book really does keep you on your toes as these two navigate how to do a spotlight relationship. If you have read the first book, I so recommend continuing on with this one because it is brilliant. If you haven’t tried these books by these two epic authors, do it now, you will not regret it!

This story was absolutely fantastic. It started off with a bang and kept me entertained the entire time. From the moment we first meet Elle and Kas, you just know that their story is going to keep you on your toes. Their banter is entertaining and their connection intense. I loved watching these two interact with one another. Kas kept me laughing with his ridiculous antics and I loved the way that he worked himself under Elle’s skin. And Elle…she is not what I expected at all. She worked hard for everything she had and didn’t ride the coat tails of her father’s fame. She had a very big heart and has been hurt in the past. The last thing she was looking for was another member of Hollywood to enter her life. But, she’ll quickly find out that there is more to Kas than what meets the eye…

Can I tell you how much I enjoyed this story. This was such a quick easy read. So entertaining. It was a nice palette cleanser. Just moved at a nice tempo. Low angst. And one of the sweetest heroes I’ve ever read! Kas, from the moment we meet him is so genuine. He’s completely smitten and adorable. But he’s such an honorable character. I really loved him. The best thing about this book is it’s LIVE now!

Kas is quite the charmer, “my bike. My baby. But if you want to take that title, I’ll gladly oblige.” There are times Elle doesn't want to wait, ��don’t you want breakfast first? Or lunch, or . . . Elle!” I hiss as she rolls me onto my back and suddenly straddles me..." I liked this book, this was a witty, light-hearted read.

Kas Cowen wasn’t looking for a relationship, but when he runs into Elle (or she runs into him, literally) he is intrigued and wants more time with her. But he walks a fine line between having her and chasing her away, simply by following his dreams.
Elle is a little on the flighty side, despite having her own successful career. This aspect of her character was already established, and is reinforced throughout the opening of this book. But she is also determined and independent, which are traits she clings to they get to know each other.
Kas is swoony in his attention to Elle. I loved his dedication, though at times it did feel like he was moving very fast for the amount of time he had known Elle.
This mirrors the timeline of One Wild Night, with scenes echoing events from Elle’s perspective, but can absolutely stand alone. There were actually times I wished for a little more crossover simply to connect where in the “grand scheme” Elle and Kas’s events were falling. I wished it was a little more in several places, actually, as it read really quickly and felt short for a novel. But I loved seeing Kaylee and Pax again, as well as several other of the side characters. Elle’s parents played an interesting role in this book as well, and I enjoyed their interactions.
Overall, this was a sweet, fast read with a lot of heart. It was a fun continuation of this series, and I particularly enjoyed seeing what exactly kept Elle from attending her father’s premier in One Wild Night.

This was such a fun read, I loved Elle and Kas and their crazy adventure to finding happy together! These characters have such great, big personalities and are such a perfect match for each other. The way these two meet is just hilarious and definitely sets up the tone for their relationship!
Elle doesn’t date actors, that’s her policy, not after her ex was just using her to get to her father, a super successful director. Kas came to LA following his dream to become an actor, he’s got a good thing going as a model but he has bigger dreams. As these two get to know each other, Elle keeps her father a secret, not wanting history to repeat itself with Kas. There’s something special about him though and she can’t seem to resist, not that he’s going to let her. Kas is GREAT, I mean totally swoon-worthy, funny and sweet. He’s sure there is something special between him and Elle, right from the moment they meet and he’s going to prove it to her.
I couldn’t put this story down, I loved it and devoured it! It made me laugh and made me melt, Kas is definitely one of my new favorite book boyfriends. I really loved what he did for Elle and to show him how real he was. And Elle, she’s a tough cookie and definitely had some walls, but I love how she grew in the end. I think this is a must read, it hit all the high notes for me – definitely a wild ride that I’d like to take again!

One Wild Ride is book two in the Hollywood Chronicles series and is a standalone; however, this story runs concurrent with the first book. We find out why she (Elle) missed the movie premier that her dad directed that left her BF, Kaylee attending alone. Let’s say this is fates way as bringing these characters together, as it leads to Kaylee/Paxton and Elle/Kas stories. You can choose to read both or just one in the series and you will not feel like you are missing anything in the Hollywood Chronicles series.

One Wild Ride by A.L. Jackson & Rebecca Shea is such a cunning and breathtaking story that I never wanted to end.
This book is one of those that once you start, you can't put it down till you've reached the end. I was completely lost to these characters. They owned every page and the writing was remarkable.
Elle's character is so fun. She's quirky, fierce, and has lots of love. Her heart is one of the biggest. You just know she's going to do something wonderful and following her dreams was always her goal. But when she runs into Kas, literally, the sparks and connection roll off of them and the pages in waves. So intense, yet so beautiful. I loved getting to know these two characters and watching them grow with each other. They have to learn to trust each other and trust that their hearts aren't leading them to a huge heartbreak. Everyone is going to adore Kas, he's my favorite in this book. I instantly loved him and knew that heart of his was huge and that when he fell for Elle, it was going to be exquisite. This book pulls at all your heart strings, it's sensational.

One Wild Ride was simply amazing! Elle was your Park Avenue princess version of the west coast. Kas was just....well he was just plain hot. Simple as that. The first meeting between these characters was so unconventional. But as people would say, fate happens. You can see how it plays a role in these two lives.
The Hollywood drama kept Elle at arms length. Kas has dreams that he never would think he could let go. The secrets these two have, you can only ask, will the revealing of the truth bring these two together? The chemistry that Elle and Kas have will blow you away. Once again A.L. Jackson and Rebecca Shea bring out another hit finally letting us see what happened that night Kaylee met Paxton. I loved how these two were brought together and boy was it fun to see Elle squirm with Kas. There is definitely tons of heat between them but it takes a big leap of faith for Elle to give love a chance again. Loved it these two authors together are great and cannot wait to see what they do next.

What a sinfully, delicious feel-fest this one was!! Kas was fire and their banter and zany way of meeting threw me for a loop!! He was the epitome of book-boyfriend, because even under all that hotness and swagger, was an alluring sweetness and devotion to Elle that sent flutters all through me. Super-swoons all around!!! Oh what a ride, I didn't want it to end!!! Elle and Kassius have the best meet cute that is just so perfect for them. Elle, the daughter of a famous director, has been burned in the past and has no intention of letting that happen again. So of course Kas, who is adorable, funny and oh so sexy, is the last person she wants to be attracted to. Kas though is determined to break down her walls. This is a fast moving story with the perfect mix of humor, a tear or two and some sweet sexy times. It's about keeping your heart open to love. One-click this book, sit back and enjoy the ride!

The bright lights of Hollywood are shining on Kas -- it's this Calvin Klein underwear model's turn to shine on the big screen. When Elle rolls into his life unexpectedly, things begin to get complicated. It was an original and fun-to-read opening. But from there, the downward spiral began.
Over-dramatized, unbelievable in so many areas and far too many editing problems with missing words or use of the wrong words. You could see the setup to the ending to this one coming very early in the reading process. Heck, I even spoke the words out loud before I got to the third chapter. There were no surprises to be found.
I've read plenty of A.L. Jackson's books. This one fell short of what I've come to expect.

Elle is a determined and independent woman. She works hard for what she wants despite having famous father. She wants to be her own person and wants someone to want her for herself and not for her connections. She had her heart broken before and now she doesn't trust easily, especially actors. She falls deeply for Kas, but she's afraid his career is more important than she is.
Kas travelled a long way to follow his dreams. He's a model but he really wants to be an actor and he works hard to achieve it. He's a cocky and arrogant man, but also very sweet, kind and funny. He never expected to meet Elle, even less fall for her. He'll do anything for her, even risk his career.
A.L. Jackson and Rebecca Shea did an amazing job with One Wild Ride! Kas and Elle's story is a sweet, funny and sexy romance with a dash of drama that'll take you in an incredible journey. This beautifully written romance will make you laugh and swoon a lot and you won't be able to stop reading until you reached the last page.
