There are some risks worth taking, no matter how bad the odds.

When friends are in danger, the magicians of the academy will do whatever is necessary to save them—even if the friends are ghosts.

The Sorcerer has underestimated the staff and students of the academy. But they’ve underestimated him too… and he has no qualms about using the darkest of magic against them.

He’d rather them dead than alive. But the magicians are about to bring the fight of his life.

Well. The students have really gotten themselves in a pickle now. I found it almost comical how the students bantered back and forth trying to make the decision to go see what’s happened with the rescue attempt to get Albucus freed. They were supposed to wait for their teachers to return but got a little antsy. They decided to go on the rescue themselves against the expert’s advice. Now they’re all stuck, or are they? How are they going to get out this one? I’m sure Ms Ashta has another great plot in store for the next book as usual. I’m finding it very hard to wait and see what comes next.

ONE INCREDIBLY FANTASTIC ADVENTURE!!!
Whoa baby, talk about bringing the pain. This is one action packed, fast paced, hard hitting, nailbiting, spine tingling, heart pounding, pulse racing, adrenaline pumping, page turning thriller that's as riveting as it is captivating. Lucia brings it in this phenomenal read. No holds barred, no pulling punches and taking no prisoners. All the twists and turns, unexpected circumstances and unpredictable surprises around every corner make for one spectacular experience. She builds the drama, tension, fear, anger, danger and suspense higher and higher to the explosive climax awaiting. The characters are so realistic, complex and believable with such depth it's truly amazing. They're written with such realism it really pulls this little treasure together beautifully. The scenes are so graphically detailed it's easy to picture each scenario as they play off one another perfectly. Lucia's imagination and insight never ceases to amaze me. Lucia did a phenomenal job bringing this read to life brilliantly. One awesome job Lucia, thanks for sharing this little jewel with us.

When family or friends are in danger, there is no doubt of the need to go help and save the people one loves. Although sometimes it can be really difficult.
The elder magicians went on a rescue mission to Maurisse's castle to get back Albacus and possibly get rid of the traitor in their ranks.. only the mission certainly did not go as expected. Moreover, with the newcomers present, differences in personalities come clashing together, potentially causing arguments and bringing out character treats not yet observed.
I enjoyed the book as much as the previous ones in the series, although in this one I lacked the one heated and intense mkment being the peak of the plot development. This time, the story went on smoothly, gradually, ending in a nice cliffhanger that hooks the reader to continue the journey, but there was not a peak - it just promises to continue at the level of suspense in thr next book right at the spot where this one ended.
Fast and enjoyable read, more suitable for younger audience thanks to the innocent vibes it sends out, but a nice refreshment for the mature ones as well.

It’s a severe understatement to say that I love Lucia Ashta’s Magical Arts Academy series. So now along comes Castle's Curse (Book 9). It’s like giving the perfect Godiva chocolate bar to a choco-holic (something which, by the way, I’d sign up for ... just do you’ll know). It was simply that wonderful. Magic, adventure and awesome twists. I just love you Issa ... and your friends and teachers too. The only thing wrong with this book is that it ends with fave characters in quite a bit of a pickle. I just really need to know what’s next! Darnit! I guess that’s an indicator, though, of the novel’s quality. But for the fact that I’m literally dictating this review to my husband from my hospital bed I could go on and on with praises - the book definitely deserves it. Since I can’t do that I will simply note that the book is most definitely one to read, and it is easy to highly recommend. I’m definitely looking forward to the next book in this series.

Castle's Curse is book nine in the series offering the reader a continuation of Isadora and her group's Magical Arts Academy adventures.
A fantastic, fast paced story that has danger, drama, suspense and a lot of tension.
There are also unpredictable surprises and lots of twists and turns for Isadora and her group.
The characters continue to mature as the story unfolds, and even though this time round the much debated decision might not have been the right one. They were told to stay put, but disobeyed when they did not hear from those that had gone to save abacus from the wicked Wizard Maurice. They now find themselves in a dilemma. Are they able to free themselves?
The story does end on a cliff hanger.
Gifted with a copy which I voluntarily reviewed.

This book takes place shortly after the last book ended. I really love these books and 8m
I'm so glad to still be in the Witching World. Everyone is gathered to plan the attack upon Duke Maurisse's castle. All the teachers are going including Mordecai, Clara and Marcelo, they're ready for the fight. At least they think they are. That leaves the students for the reinforcements. After waiting for what seem forever the kids head for the castle.
I received a copy of this book and chose to review it.

The heads of the MAA have decided to take the fight to the SMS. Mordecai is determined to free his brother from the clutches of Maurisse. They bring the students with them, then leave for the first wave. They will call if they need them. After what seems like a long time, the students decide to help anyway. What they find is startling and terrifying.
The suspense is killing me. I can't wait for the next book.

I voluntarily review an ARC.
This is the ninth book of the Magical Arts Academy series, the books should be read in order.
This part of the series is about the rescue mission for Albacus. But it contains more debating than real action. I'd like to read more about Isa's magical abilities. So I'm waiting for the next part.
I love the different characters and their development.
Highly recommended series.

With the teachers of the MAA going in to rescue Albacus, the students are left to be a backup should the teachers contact them. After waiting for what feels like too long with no contact, the students head in to rescue the teachers. On entering the castle they discover they are not able to leave....the Castle is a trap for all from the MAA, students and teachers alike.

Eagerly awaiting the next book....

I absolutely love this series and the characters. Although Isa is the main one my favourite is still Sir Lancelot. There seems to be a lot of confusion in this episode and they all find themselves in a bit of a pickle.
Can’t wait to see how the get out of this.

A truly magical fantasy well worth reading. You don’t want to miss it , seriously.

Another great installment in Issa's story. She and her friends and teachers are on a rescue mission and, as her luck has been going, things do not go as smoothly as they could have hoped. But she refuses to give up, no matter what.

Good

I enjoyed this book. Not a lot actually happened, but I did enjoy the interaction of all the characters. They are very well fleshed out. Still hoping for something to actually happen, and for something to go right. Hoping they get to learn some magic soon too.

These books where short and fast to read. I started them and couldn't put them down. I didn't get my reviews in because I didn't want to stop. So much goodness on these books. You are going to like every one of these characters.

Rescuing Albacus.

Everyone goes to rescue Albacus, including the firedrakes & the dragon. However, things don't go as planned. SPOILER ALERT: The castle is abandoned & it's a trap. They should have expected this. You would expect the adults to have thought of this outcome.

Is book is 9 - 13 of a 13 book series. I'm going to post this review to all 4 since it covers them all.

Well written books and a fun story ruined by being broken up into little pieces. Authors really need to stop wasting their time and our money trying to get us buy books that are not whole.

suspenseful

A good book of planning, plotting and starting execution of plan. Things rarely go as planned as expected. Plenty of adventure, magic and surprises.
