3-Stars -- Jessica Florence – Hero Holiday Trials

This was a cute story. I would have liked to seen A.J get a full-length book of his own since he has been around since the beginning, but this short story was sweet, so I will try not to complain too much (lol).

2-Stars Amelia Hutchins – Oh, Holy Knight (Wicked Knights Series)

OK, so this story confused the hell of out me. First, I thought it was going to be a complete short story, but it was just the beginning of a new series coming in 2019. Second, I am not sure if I was supposed to like Callaghan or hate him? There were a little too many acrimonious exchanges between him and Erie for me to feel any connection between them apart from the sexual, and even that felt forced a lot of the time. Oh well, I guess I will have to wait and see what happens when the full-length book comes out...

3-Stars S.L. Jennings – Devil’s Darling (A Se7en Sinners Short)

This was another confusing as fuck story. I liked it, but I have NO clue if Darling is supposed to be Lucifers heroine or some chick he seems to be pining for? If it is the chick he is pining for, then EWWW on the whole sex scene with Darling. *lol*

2-Stars R. Scarlett – The Winter Solstice

OMG...another frigging glimpse of a new book coming. I thought this was supposed to be a collection of short stories, not just tiny samples of books to come! Sigh...

***ARC provided by one of the authors in exchange for an honest review***

Just look at the line up... *wide eyes and sighs*

Then...

*drops mic*

Holy shit...

and just as I was hoping, this bundle of excerpts or first chapters of upcoming books from these authors made me just the right amount edgy and yearning for more... and NOW, I have something to look forward to in the 2019, when all these books should be released...

My absolute faves were:

Chantal Fernando 's Suck me was an absolute suckingly delicious, with the right amount of sassy, bold heroine and a royal vamp to woo her... *wink*

S.L. Jennings gave my LUC his Darling, in Devil's Darling, where there's nothing surprising or unexpected from the dark Lord himself to perform. Go, Luc, go!

Amo Jones introduced us to the new fantasy/paranormal series she has prepared for the early 2019. All about one special Angel and Satan's gatekeepers, or so they call themselves...this dark bunch of 7, in Dyavol
...god, there's so much on the horizont and it's only just begun...

R. Scarlett , brought me to my knees in The Winter Solstice, dear God almighty, there's another world of sexually charged and dangerously dark Faes, ahead...

and last but not the least, Amelia Hutchins , my darling, I have no words, the angsty, carnal anticipation of dark and gloomy alpha and a feisty heroine, you do it markably...

I loved other author's stories too, some of them were totally new to me and I loved discovering them.

even though, you do get just glimpses of these worlds, they are enough to make you enjoy it while it lasts thinking "there's more to come" ;)

This is a review for S.L Jennings' Devil's Darling. It's no secret that I am IN LOVE with Lucifer. Yes, he's the devil, yes he's evil but there is another side to him that readers see in the Se7en Sinners Series—a good side that wants to fight the evil, that wants to help the world, that wants to reveal his love. Devil's Darling is a short snippet of something that is to come. We are introduced to a new character who I'm hoping means more to Lucifer than what is shown now, Lucifer's partner in crime *le sigh* is just delicious, and this story while short doesn't skimp on the heat, the sin, and will leave readers WANTING MORE.
Such Violet Delights is a paranormal romance anthology with proceeds benefiting Project Night Night (homeless children) and definitely something that paranormal romance readers need to pick up ASAP!

On a Cold Winter's Night Review

We get a start to Gabriel’s story and it’s great! I can’t wait to see how Ruby fits with the coven and how it will all work out between her and Gabriel. It definitely leaves you wanting more and I can’t wait to see what’s to come.

***5 Stars***

When this anthology announced, I knew I NEEDED to get my hands on it one way or another since it had a mix of authors I adore, authors I’ve wanted to read but there aren’t enough hours in a day and brand new to me authors, and as most of the stories within would be short story length or shorter (some are simply “samples/teases” of stories the authors are working on for future publication) I figured they would be a good way to get introduced to the new to me authors and find out what some of my favs were up to and I wasn’t disappointed at all. Though these stories are short, they were all enjoyable and gave me a very good idea of which authors I’d be adding to my very extensive TBR.

Reviewing stories in an anthology, especially when they are short stories or simply the beginning chapters of one, is difficult so I’m just going to go with which stories/authors I liked the most.

As far as the authors I’ve read the stories Stacey Marie Brown and Amo Jones have in here are my favs. Descending Into Madness by Stacey Marie Brown is a story inspired by Alice in Wonderland and I loved the crazy she gave us and cannot wait to see what else will be coming from this world. DYAVOL by Amo Jones is just the first few chapters of the book which is a WIP, but I was hooked and that last chapter has me making grabby hands for the final product because things are definitely going to be taking a batshit crazy sideways tilt that I know she’ll rock.

In regards to the authors I’ve either yet to read or are new to me, the ones that peaked my interest the most based on their writing style and flow were Jessica Florence, Anne Malcolm, S.L. Jennings and Kim Loraine. Their stories, though short, hooked me and have quite interested in diving deeper into the worlds they have created.

All in all, I really enjoyed this anthology as a whole. The offerings may be on the short side, but they all give a good idea of what all the authors have to offer a reader and while some intrigued me more than others, they were all well done in the end.

Little snippets of pnr stories to come? Yes please! PNR and fantasy is my jam!

I admit I haven't read all the authors in this anthology so I need to catch up on some series....but here is my 'for now' review/s!

Suck Me
In a world where people have taken everything, Valerie finds herself in a situation.....with a vamp......

Oh Holy Knight
Callaghan, a Knight of the Order....
Erie is a druid with this hanging over her head 'You are aware of the prophecy in which you were created for.Your time is near.'

Dyavol
'She has returned, but she must be careful.'
A fab start to a great pnr, Tatyana is surrounded by men....just how we like it!

Buried Destiny
Meet Sophie and her Witch 22! Now I love Sophie, maybe even more than Isla (well her bf is a werewolf!) so to know that she is getting her own book made me shriek with joy!

All in all, amazing. Totally amazing. One thing that made me want to cry? That I have to wait for the rest of the words *insert sobs*

Descending into Madness by Stacey Marie Brown
I’m mad over this story. I love Alice in Wonderland and Stacey’s spin on Wonderland to Winterland was perfection. I love the characters and want more of Alice & Scrooge. I’m so glad that there will be more to this story, hopefully very very soon lol.

Suck Me by Chantel Fernando

Love Vampires books and reading these chapters has me wanting more of Luca & Valerie. Who doesn’t like a vampire Prince. Can’t wait to read more.

Hero Holiday Trials by Jessica Florence

This was my first book by Jessica and it won’t be my last. A.J has been looking for The One and has found it with Lana but he needs too prove he is worthy. Great read that I really enjoyed.

Oh, Holy Knight by Amelia Hutchins

I really enjoyed this story. Erie has no one and needs too look after herself but Callaghan and her were destined to be together to save their people but Erie wants nothing to do with it. This was an interesting story from the start and I can’t wait to read more.

Devil’s Darling by S.L. Jennings

I absolutely love this short story. Luc & Michael I absolutely loved and I want more. I am definitely checking out the Se7en Sinners series after reading this.

Dyavol by Amo Jones

This is my first book by Amo and it won’t be my last. Once I started reading this book, I was hooked. The characters, the story had me so interested I didn’t want it too end. Can’t wait too read more of Dyavol.

Deck The Demons by Knox & Miers

Love this book. Morgan & Gamble I really enjoyed their story. Anytime you read a Knox & Miers Story, you can’t help but be hooked from the start.

On A Cold Winter’s Night by Kim Loraine

Omg I absolutely love this book. I need to read more of Kim’s books. I love Angel books and Ruby & Gabriel have me hooked.

Buried Destiny by Anne Malcom
Why haven’t I ever read a book by Anne before. After reading this, I am definitely one clicking. Great story with great characters that have me hooked.

The Winter Solstice by R. Scarlett
Omg I need more of this story. Once I started reading I didn’t want too stop. A very interesting mysterious story that I know I will love.

The Nutcracker by Alice K. Wayne
Interesting story that I need more of. The love between Balor and Remy you can feel as your reading. Can’t wait to read more of Balor & Remy’s story.

I enjoyed everyone of these stories and have read some new authors that I will definitely start one clicking.

Anne Malcom's contribution was dark and twisted. My favourite witch Sophie wakes up in the unlikeliest of places and I have to say that I am more than a little anxious about what's to come...

SL Jennings gave me the Luc I adore. He's filthy. He's violent and he's oh so delicious!!! And I gotta say Michael is definitely growing on me. These fallen angels are Yummy with a capital Y!! Cannot wait for more.

Chantal Fernando is a favourite - giving me royal vampires, sassy heroines & an MC full of hot vamps. Yes please! Can't wait for the full story to come.

R Scarlett is back in PNR land where I first fell in love with her words. Lust filled & frightening - this was the perfect taste of what's to come.

The story Oh, Holy Knight by Amelia Hutchins is an amazingly hot read!! Callaghan and Erie left me wanting so much more I can't wait to get the whole story!!!

The story Devil's Darling by S.L. Jennings is hot hot hot!! It is has to be a sin to love the Devil so much!! He is passion, he is sex, he is fire, he is truth, brutality, he is perfection!!

***Review for SL Jennings Devil's Darling***

At this time my submission is for SL Jennings only. I plan on reading every authors contribution. (Currently reading Amo Jone's submission)

I'm not sure I was prepared to laugh as hard as I did!! This was whimsical, fun, endearing, messy, hot, speculative, and just an amazing read.

I was NOT a paranormal reader, ever! Until SL Jennings. Now...she's my ride or die author. I absolutely FLOVE the way she writes, creates, gives life to ALL of her characters. I have become SO passionate with the need to know what's next with her stories. If we could only talk her into giving us more!

Devil's Darling is a Se7en Sinners short story by the talented SL Jennings. It's part of the Such Violent Delights: A Paranormal Romance Holiday Anthology. I love the Se7en Sinners series. SL Jennings is such a fantastic writer. Her words are poetic and perfection. The beauty in her word choices is evident in the first sentence of every one of her books. Devil's Darling is a short, interesting taste of what's to come ( I hope!). Lucifer and Michael are on a road trip when they encounter a teenage girl who doesn't seem to be afraid of them. She can see things, but not who they really are. I've never been quiet about being Team Lucifer so imagine my violent delight when I got to the last sentence of this story. Holy Hell. Bring it on!

DYAVOL is a story that I need and I need it right now!! How can I be left hanging like that?!?! What’s going to happen to Tatyana? Who is Killian? See! So many questions.

I tell ya, this book is great! Just by the little glimpse we get and I’m already hooked. I was devastated when it ended and I caught myself clicking my kindle searching for more. I’ve only read Amo’s dark books and she shows she’s going to be the master of paranormal also!

The fact that these are all PNR stories makes me fall more in love with this anthology.
PNR has always and will FOREVER be my first book love.
I absolutely need this paperback when it becomes available.

I’ll be adding as I go along, but I just NEED to talk about Devil’s Darling by SL Jennings.
This author. She continues and continues to knock it out of the park.
If you’ve read her Se7en Sinners series, then you know who our main characters are. Luc and Michael.
You heard that right. LUCIFER IS BACK!
And he’s better than ever.
The adventures between these two bothers was in its own ball park. The hilarity between them was comedic gold. I’m going to need more of them because it was perfection. We get to meet a new character and this person brings exactly what Luc and Michael were missing.
And, the ending?? I’ll say it again, YOU NEED TO READ THE SE7EV SINNER SERIES. Because, that ending left me with my jaw on the floor and begging for more.
Well done!

DYAVOL by Amo Jones
This short is only giving you a small piece of information on what this author’s new PNR Duet will be about.
Gaaah! I want to curse this author! She is always leaving me craving more and more. Just when the story was getting good and we finally see who these men that are around Tatyana are, it abruptly ends.
I believe this is Amo Jones’ first time writing PNR. I was instantly intrigued. The small world and character building was amazing. And, like I said, it left me craving more. Already added her full length part 1 novel to my TBR because I already know it’s one I’ll have to read and devour.

On a Cold Winter’s Night by Kim Loraine
Why are these shorts ending like this?!?! I need more info!
Gabriel and Ruby’s story captivated me right away. I need to know more about this angel and witch! What is going to happen to Ruby when she gets her memory back? How will Gabriel make it back to her? WHAT ELSE IS MICHAEL HIDING FROM THE PREMONITION?

More reviews to come!

After finishing the collection of paranormal stories in Such Violent Delights, I’m reminded how much I adore other worldly story lines and the kickass heroines and hot as hell heroes who are part of paranormal realms.

Stacey Marie Brown – Descending Into Madness (A Winterland Tale)

This is quite a unique story. I never imagined that Alice and Scrooge would work in a book, but for some reason, Brown sells that idea and leaves me wanting more.

Chantal Fernando – Suck Me

Who doesn’t love a good vampire story, and the fact that Fernando pens this tale about a royal blood sucker and a heroine who goes head-to-head with him makes it an intriguing one. I’ve read a lot of stories by Chantal Fernando but I’ve never read one in the paranormal realm, so I’m excited to see where Fernando takes these characters and if they’ll exude the same kind of personalities that her dominating heroes and kick butt heroines have in her other series.

Jessica Florence – Hero Holiday Trials

I’ve never read a Jessica Florence story, so this gave me the perfect excuse to check out her writing and storytelling. The title definitely fits the events of the novella because the trials AJ must face to prove he’s worthy for the ‘one’ are the focus of Hero Holiday Trials.

Amelia Hutchins – Oh, Holy Knight (Wicked Knights Series)

Hutchins’ Fae series has one of my absolutely favorite book couples of all time, so I loved getting a look at what’s ahead for the paranormal worlds that she’s so good at creating. It looks like another feisty heroine and one heck of an alpha male are headed readers’ way and I can’t wait!

S.L. Jennings – Devil’s Darling (A Se7en Sinners Short)

I’m a huge fan of S.L. Jennings and her Se7en Sinners Series is one of my faves, and even though I’ll admit that I’m a Legion gal through and through that doesn’t mean that Luc hasn’t weaseled his way into my heart…there’s just something so honest about him and the fact that he sacrificed what defines him for the one who owns his blackened soul and heart makes me want him to find his own happiness.

The Devil’s Darling is a preview of what’s up next for the dastardly devil and his cohorts and while Luc continues to woo me with his wicked words, his brother is who I couldn’t get enough of and I can’t wait for more havoc to be had by them and their tagalong.

Amo Jones – DYAVOL

This tale definitely feels like an Amor Jones’ story; the fact that it consists of both angels and devils speaks volumes of Jones’ deliciously dark and deviant mind as well as her lighter side, but let’s be honest…I think it’s clear which side reigns and I wouldn’t want it any other way.

Knox & Miers – Deck the Demons (A Halfblood Huntress Prequel)

I’ve recently been introduced to this writing duo, and I’ve definitely found some new paranormal worlds that I can’t wait to experience. Readers meet Morgan and Gamble in this prequel, and I’m quite intrigued to know what’s to come for these two.

Kim Loraine – On A Cold Winter’s Night

Hopefully, this is just the beginning of Ruby and Gabe’s story because I’m very intrigued with why Ruby’s been put in Gabe's care and if it’s a test from his Father or if there’s something else in motion as indicated at the end of the novella.

Anne Malcom – Buried Destiny

This novella is incredibly dark and twisted. This is a new-to-me author, so I’ll admit that it took me a bit to get a grasp on everything and by the time that I did, the short story was over, leaving me a bit out of sorts with what’s to come for these characters.

R. Scarlett – The Winter Solstice

The Fae World is a dangerously sexy one and R. Scarlett uses that idea and runs with it in the most sensual and devious ways. I can’t wait for more from this paranormal new-to-me author.

Alice K. Wayne – The Nutcrackers (A Breed Christmas Short)

Balor and Remy are interested characters whose story has only just begun. I’m not quite sure what’s going to happen to these two because we aren’t privy to too many details yet, but this novella will definitely make readers want to see what happens to these two.

5 "I am going to Hell and I can't wait" Blushes

SL Jennings's Devils Darling

If I had pearls I would be clutching them...along with a bible because I am going to Hell to hang out with Lucifer!

Oh SL Jennings, how do I love thee?  Let me count the ways (in no particular order)...1. Dorian  2. Nico  3. Justice 4. Blaine....ok you get my point but my dear Lucifer himself may have just catapulted himself to the #1 spot...

This story was hot, fun, sexy, funny and OMG wrong in so many ways but that's why I loved it so damn much! But honestly, why do I love it so much?  It's a prelude to MORE!  More Luc, Legion, Eden and the whole gang.

In the Se7en Sinners series, we see a different side of Lucifer, one that makes you fall in love with the Devil. SL Jennings has pushed Lucifer to a point I wasn't sure he could ever get to but he's there and HE'S back to his old self again - just the way I like him. Bring it one SL Jennings.

This Review is for On a Cold Winter's Night by Kim Loraine

Gabriel how I love thee, let me count the ways.

Kim Loraine delivers another five star read with On a Cold Winter's Night. My favorite gorgeous angel is back gracing the pages leaving me wanting more, always more when it comes to Gabe.

This book is a novella but never falls short on delivering all the feels. It makes a perfect addition to the Such Violent Delights, A Holiday Paranormal Romance Anthology.

The ending lets you know that there will be more of Ruby and Gabriel. The anticipation of what's to come is going to keep me glued to Kim Loraine until she delivers more of her magic.

This is my review for DYAVOL by Amo Jones.

This is a small snippet of what to expect in Dyavol. I must say that the further I was taken into the story of Tatyana the more intrigued I became. She knew her life was all planned out for her. Her future guaranteed but sometimes reality has a way of being shaken up.

The storyline has been set, the plot is building and I'm at the point where I need the full book now. I'm fully invested.

This anthology has some great paranormal starters so for a bit of a taste of what is to come, grab yourself a copy.

Review for S.L Jennings' Devil's Darling..

It's not a secret on how much we love Lucifer. In DD you see Lucifer at his finest. Dear God that man.... He could make a woman drop their panties just by looking at them... You meet Lucifer in the Se7en Sinners and he just takes your breathe away regardless if he is good or bad... In Devil's Darling, you meet a new character.... I hope and pray there is more to come between the two....

In true Jennings fashion, she leaves us begging for more.... Crossing my fingers there will be more to come.....

5 amazing stars...

2 Stars: Descending Into Madness by Stacey Marie Brown

Descending Into Madness by Stacey Marie Brown is an interesting and haunting story inspired by Alice in Wonderland. Initially, I thought this would be a short story, being the longest romance within this anthology—it is actually a thorough glimpse into this maddening world. Unfortunately, I lost interest in this story pretty quick.

4 Stars: Suck Me by Chantal Fernando

Filled with a sassy heroine and royal vampires, Suck Me nabbed my attention easily. Held it, too. It is a perfect introduction to Luca, a self-centered and arrogant vampire who's "claimed" the heroine to be his unwilling bride.

4 Stars: The Winter Solstice by R. Scarlett

I need more of Emma and Reed! Brimming with lust and dark Faes, Rebecca Scarlett, my absolute favourite PNR author, captured my attention with this mysterious and wonderfully intriguing mystical world. If she ever decides to expand this universe (fingers crossed), I would devour this whole!

So I’m reviewing :: On a Cold Winter’s Night by Kim Loraine ::

It’s a short story and like all in the Anthology are not complete.

If you want to find out what happens and I know you will, you’ll wait for Gabriel’s choice to come out in a full length book.

This is a paranormal romance at first sight.
Gabriel saves the girl from and horrible faith and little does she knows, well she knows nothing ... but at least she’s not alone with

A curse.

It envolves witches, hot and sexy angels not to mention what Hell is after.

Lust at first sight is better than love at first sight for me it’s more real even if it’s fictional, which granted me to enjoy this Christmas cold winters tale.

It was a sexy short read that keeps you wanting.

I recommend it and hope you enjoy it.

Such a great collect of wonderful authors. A few newbies to me personally that I look forward to reading their other books. A great collect of short paranormal stories. All very well written with great story lines and characters.

Descending into Madness by Stacey Marie Brown.
5 stars

This is the first thing I have read by this author And i am very impressed with it. I loved how the author was able to put a twist on two very famous and popular stories. I have always loved Alice in Wonderland but now I would have to say I am a huge fan of Alice in Winterland 😉. Having the good guys from the North Pole being bad is soooo good. I love the connection between Alice and Scrooge. I cannot wait for this to be turned into a full length. I can’t wait to see what is going to happen with Alice and Scrooge...

Suck Me by Chantal Fernando
4 stars

Noooooo! I need more NOW, I can’t wait till 2019 to get more of Valerie and Luca. A Vampire Prince who is offering marriage, who can say no to that... where can I find my own Vampire Prince so he can kidnap me and make me his wife? I enjoyed the little glimpse of Luca and Valerie and I will be waiting not so patiently for the rest of their story...

Hero Holiday Trials by Jessica Florence
4 stars

This is a first for me from Jessica Florence. A.J and Lana are soul mates but are from two different worlds Lana is a Powerful Witch and A.J is a human. But not even Lana’s covers with their Mate Trails will be able to stop them being together...

Oh, Holy Knight by Amelia Hutchins
4.5 stars

This is the first time I have read anything by Amelia Hutchins and all I can say is I am now hooked on her words. Callaghan and Erie’s story is an addiction I’m not ready to go cold turkey from lol. Erie is one kick arse chick and I can not wait to see what she puts Callaghan through in the full length.

Devils Darling by S.L Jennings
5 stars

Lucifer, who doesn’t love a good book about the devil himself... I must be twisted in the head when I am rooting for the baddest boy of the all... Luc tries to act like he doesn’t care but as this book shows he does care especially when it comes to Darling. I love the bond between Luc and Michael it is so funny and wonderful to experience, just wish I could be a fly on the way so I can observe them. This author is new to me and I look forward to seeing what other works she has done.

Dyavol by Amo Jones
5 stars

Holy Hotness!!! Amo strikes again with another fantastic book. Although it’s only a snippet of what’s to come, I am completely addicted and need more. An angel with darkness in her, wow... I can just imagine her gorgeous black wings and silvery hair with a black strip... gorgeous.

Deck The Demons by Knox & Miers
4 stars

I am new to both Knox & Miers. But after reading this I am looking forward to see what other works they both have done. I really hope that there is more to come for Morgana and Gamble as I think they will be a great couple to read and see how their story ends.

On a Cold Winters Night by Kim Loraine
5 stars

Where can I get my own Archangel Soul Mate? The chemistry between Gabriel and Ruby was HOT!!! I couldn’t get enough and I didn’t want it to end... my heart was breaking for them both but especially for Gabriel at the end when he was talking with Michael about Ruby. Two souls destined to be together but unable to... I am new to Kim and I can’t wait to sink into the worlds she has created with her worlds...

Buried Destiny by Anne Malcom
5 stars

I love Sophie and Isla... I am a huge fan of Anne Malcom’s books especially her Vein Chronicle Series and this was no exception, well done again Anne... looking forward to the next instalment...

The Winter Solstice by R.Scarlet
4 stars

First time reader of this author. Loved the writing, story and characters. Hoping that this book will become a full length as I am looking forward to reading what Reed has in store for Emma... I think I just found another author to start reading.

The Nutcrackers by Alice k. Wayne
4 stars

Such a sad story, really hoping it gets a full length, as I NEED to know what is going to happen to Balor and Remy. They seem like they will be such a perfect couple, Balor’s Ying to Remy’s Yang... Well done Alice on writing a book with such great characters and story line.

Next to dark romance, paranormal romance stories are my favorite. This is a beautiful collection of stories from some fantastic authors. Each one is different and captivating in its own way.

"I created every realm of Hell with my bare hands. However, nothing in the underworld could have prepared me for the soul-crushing, everlasting torment known as Walmart."

Truth be told, I took this just to read S.L. Jennings's story. While I did enjoy each one of these, that one was out of this world. It's from her Se7en Sinners series. It's about Lucifer, and I was flipping out over a chance to get more of him. Not only do we get more of Lucifer but we get to dive back into that world and find out what's been going on. His signature humor is still going strong, and there is a lot more to their story then what we thought.

"Ready to go?" I look up as Micheal makes his way from the Champaign Room, which is probably more like the Malt Liquor Closet.

I am dying to get my hands on the 5th book of the Se7en Sinners. I didn't know we were getting one, but apparently, we are!! My heart has belonged to Lucifer since I finished those books. I hope if nothing else you read this addition to the anthology. If you haven't read the series, please get on it!!

.5 Hmmm how to write this review?? Well first off I'm actually shocked that I read this entire book. I mean I have to be honest that I've only read 3 out of the 11 authors books before so I knew I'd like those 3 for sure but was sure I'd skip at least one of the other stories but no they were all really good. This means I shall be asking for Amazon gift cards because I will be buying a lot of books come 2019.
I'm going to keep this short as this is the first anthology I've read involving so many authors. This book starts out with a different take on Alice in Wonderland. It was really cool going through this journey Alice takes us along and of course, once I met Scrooge I was done for. Then we have my handsome as sin Vampire Prince Luca. I mean who doesn't love vampires. They're one of my favorite paranormal romances! Next we have the hero society and witches. We meet A.J., who has to prove himself to his mates coven.
Amelia Hutchings brings us back to the fae with druids Erie and Callaghan. There were some hot scenes in this one. I loved that we got to see Ryder, Syn, and Ristan again. I loved The Fae Chronicles!!
S.L. Jennings brought my boy Luc back and he's as hot as ever. If you've read The Se7en Sinners series you need to read this story asap. That last line killed me. I am super excited for his book.
On to Killian and Tatyana. Tatyana is an angel of the purest kind and Killian is aiding her in hiding from the devil. Man that cliffhanger was a good one.
Knox & Miers gives us more Fae with Gamble & Morgan. Again some hot scenes in this one. Gamble is a strip club owner and Morgan helps to keep his butt out of jail. When they unite their magic has quite the after affect.
Kim Loraine brings us angels and witches. Gabe is an angel tasked with taking Ruby to her coven so she can regain her memory. However, she is a major temptation and is he willing to fall from heaven for her??
I only read the first 2 chapters of Anne Malcom's Buried Destiny. I plan on reading this in the future and took her advice not to read any more chapters after the first 2 as they would contain spoilers but I will say Sophie seems like a bad ass witch. My type of chick.
R. Scarlett brings us Reed and Emma. I'm not sure if this is going to be linked to her Blackest Gold series or not but I am super excited for this book as well. Emma is a regular human and meets Reid at an exclusive party. She is told the rules, don't take a drink or any gifts if offered, don't tell anyone your real name, and DO NOT insult anyone there. You can imagine what happened at the party.
Lastly, we meet Balor who is a werewolf and his mate Remy. Remy lies in a coma as a result of healing Balor. Even though she's in a coma she can hear everything he says to her and is fighting hard to wake up.

Overall this anthology was awesome. I'm so glad I found new authors and look forward to reading some new books!

3.5 stars Such Violent Delights is a really good compilation of paranormal romance “short stories” by 12 different popular authors with an underlying holiday theme. I loved all the stories included in this book - ranking them 4-5 stars. They were clever, creative, and unique. The authors all did a great job with world building and creating likable, paranormal characters. This anthology has stories by some of my favorite PNR authors as well as some new authors to me. Of those new authors, many of them I plan to check out their other books. I would ordinarily give this 4.5 stars because of the intriguing storylines, interesting characters, and originality, but this book feels like extended excerpts of upcoming full-length novels. The stories all ranged from 5-10 chapters long - just enough to suck you into the story, but then I felt hanging with having to wait for the full-length book. I enjoyed discovering new authors that I normally wouldn’t have known about, I am left frustrated and would rather have waited for the full-length novels. If you are someone who wants to get a little taste of books before they are available or read excerpts to see if you like new authors, then I would recommend this book. If you don’t want to be left hanging, then I would recommend waiting until each authors’ full-length novels are out. I received this book as an ARC and I voluntarily leave this review.
