Lisa Jackson is the number-one New York Times bestselling author of over ninety-five novels, including the Rick Bentz and Reuben Montoya Series, the Pescoli and Alvarez Series, the Savannah series, and numerous stand alone novels. She also is the co-author of One Last Breath, Last Girl Standing, and the Colony Series, written with her sister and bestselling author Nancy Bush, as well as the collaborative novels Sinister and Ominous, written with Nancy Bush and Rosalind Noonan. There are over thirty million copies of her novels in print and her writing has been translated into twenty languages.
Before she became a nationally bestselling author, she was a mother struggling to keep food on the table by writing novels, hoping against hope that someone would pay her for them. Today, neck deep in murder, her books appear on The New York Times, USA Today, and Publishers Weekly national bestseller lists.
With dozens of bestsellers to her name, Lisa Jackson is a master of taking readers to the edge of sanity—and back—in novels that buzz with dangerous secrets and deadly passions. She continues to be fascinated by the minds and motives of both her killers and their pursuers—the personal, the professional, and the downright twisted. As she builds the puzzle of relationships, actions, clues, lies, and personal histories that haunt her protagonists, she must also confront the fear and terror faced by her victims and the harsh and enduring truth that, in the real world, terror and madness touch far too many lives and families.
I thoroughly enjoy Lisa Jackson’s books and I was not disappointed in this set of three. In fact, I am delighted that they came together as one since the first book ended in a cliffhanger. I thought that LEFT TO DIE was attention-getting and kept my attention throughout the story. This is basically an introduction to the characters and setting. Regan Pescoli and Selena Alvarez are strong female characters, and some of my favorites in the mystery/suspense genre. Although there was a build up of a lot of suspense in this book, there was no satisfaction at the end, because it just ends without a real conclusion. The bad guy is still out there and Pescoli and Alvarez are still trying to find this serial killer before he kills more. In book #2 of the series, CHOSEN TO DIE, I was much more satisfied with the conclusion. This was my favorite of the three because there was more action. Pescoli has been captured by the serial killer and we see how resourceful she is in her attempts to get away. Alvarez, meantime, is on the hunt to find the killer and Pescoli before it is too late. This one had more suspense, although that meant it also included more violence and explicit sex, which I did not particularly enjoy. There were some sections that seemed to drag and be repetitive, but that may have been because I just wanted Pescoli to be free again. This was more of a thriller than the other two in this set. Finally, BORN TO DIE was a good read and seemed more fast-paced to me. There were a lot of plot twists in this one, so these drew me into the story. By the time I got to book #3, I was tired of the snow and the setting in Grizzly Falls in general. The snow almost became its own character and that was boring for me. Anyway, the story rushes to a conclusion, one which I was not ready for and which encourages the reader to buy the next book in the series since once again, you are left hanging. All in all, the series was enjoyable and suspenseful. I would recommend it to lovers of mystery and suspense, although readers of thrillers will find them slightly slow-paced for their tastes.

This 3 book series is a great thriller suspense that keeps you glued to the books and you want to keep reading to get to the end and then you are searching for more books from this author. Women are being forced into car accidents then later are found frozen and dead and attached to a tree. The detectives are trying to figure out how the women are chosen and why. Pescoli ended up being targeted too by a psychotic killer.. The third book has a different group of women that are being stalked and killed and the reason is revealed in a suspenseful climatic ending.
You have to love such diverse characters. Alvarez is composed and appears to be calm but there is something beneath the surface. Pescoli is the opposite. She is raising two teenagers alone and is very intense. Together they form a dynamic team in this collection of three novels.
Grizzly Falls Montana is not the small, quiet town you would expect. Secrets run rampant and serial killers are no exception. Jump in and plan to sit down for a long, intense read. Once you start these novels there's no way to stop.
In this three book volume by Lisa Jackson we meet Detectives Alverez & Pescoli in her To Die series. We get to read Left to Die, Chosen to Die and Born to Die set in Grizzly Falls, Montana.

I'm hooked again! Alvarez & Pescoli are good, well rounded characters. It is good to read protagonists that have foibles. Leaves the reader we going more. Will Pescoli finally hook-up? What are Alverez' secrets? I'm hooked.
