This book contains scenes of extreme violence and some bad language throughout. The unthinkable has happened. Predictions have come true. Terrorists have obtained a two megaton nuclear warhead from rogue elements of the Pakistan armed forces. SIS has discovered London is the target. With time running out, and a city in chaos, can Jack Regan locate the device and stop the terrorists from detonating the bomb before it's too late? If he fails in his mission, millions will die, the financial markets will crash, and the world will be thrown into turmoil. Wars and reprisals will quickly follow. Cold War protocols are being dusted off and Britain has gone to a war footing. From the remote Afghan plains, to the harsh Libyan deserts, Regan will pursue the terrorists responsible with extreme force, while back home, the British government will stop at nothing to ensure the capital is safe - including killing their own operatives in the field if they have to. In an orgy of death, destruction, and violence, Jack Regan must undertake the most dangerous mission of his life, and try and save the UK from nuclear annihilation.
Once again this author has put forth an excellence piece of work. The action is non-stop, intense and well written. You’ll learn to pull for Jack Regan from the beginning even though at every turn he is hitting speed bumps that he must get over. I am a fan of Clancy, Thor, Flynn and other tier one thriller writers and P.M. is right up there with them. Do yourself a favor and purchase not only this series but his SAS, Johnny Davis, series as well. You won’t be disappointed.
I have read all of Jack Reagan books so far and taken a liking to the way PM Crowley has integrated a sub plot into each and every one of the books so far, the plot and the way the story unfold are well written and easy to follow. The books so far have very direct with just the right amount of detail required to understand the authors way of telling a story enabling the reader enjoy a good read without having to back track a few chapters every time the book is picked up. I look forward to the next installment.
