This is a Wayward Pines-inspired story.

Like other nomads before him, Tobias has left Wayward Pines.

With only the clothes on his back and a few supplies and weapons, he’s headed west on a mission of the utmost importance.

He knows his life is in constant danger. That abbies are all around him. Any false move, and they’ll tear him apart.

What Tobias doesn’t know is that outside of Wayward Pines there are other things more dangerous than abbies.

And worse than death.

This ebook was published through an agreement with the author of Wayward Pines, Blake Crouch. Mr. Crouch has not necessarily read or endorsed this story.

I wasn't sure about this whole "Kindle Worlds" concept. Blake Crouch's series was already so perfect...it seemed silly to dilute his ideas with the works of other authors. Then I saw that Robert Swartwood was one of those other authors, and I had to take the bait and read it.

You know the abbies from WAYWARD? Those creatures out beyond the walls? We learn a little more about them in this novella. And the guy who was wandering around and sleeping in trees? That's Tobias, and we learn more about what he's up to as well.

Swartwood is one of my all-time favorite authors, and although I would normally worry about the quality of the content of a mere 40 pages, I know that he is capable of making every single word count. I was not disappointed. Swartwood's writing style blends in perfectly with Crouch's story. He took this story to shocking, awful, intriguing places, and left me hanging at the end with my jaw dropped.

Now I'm going to have to check out all the other Worlds novellas from this series.

Ok. That was too short. I need more. This needed to be a full length novel. I really enjoyed it but I need more.

A gap filler

This was an interesting filler to the Wayward Pines storyline. The story of Tobias is one that begged for more details with this novella more is told. If you have read the Wayward Pines stories then this will be a welcome addition. If you haven't then it will be a starting point for the stories.

Wayward pines; Nomad

I am REALLY enjoying this Wayward pines series. Nomad is about learning what Wayward pines really is. Nomad is a name that the explorers use ,the ones who leave town to learn what is beyond the gates. What is beyond the gates? Why west?

Another great chapter into the life of Adam Hassler (Tobias) as he starts out his journey as a nomad. My only gripe...it was too short! I would love to read more about his years spent outside Wayward Pines.

What a shock...

when I swiped to the next page and it was the end....NO.... Waywrd Pines is one of the best series I've read, and the only disappointment in this episode was the end coming too soon. I can't wait for the next installment.

Another great Wayward Pines addition!

A somber and very real look into Tobias' journey and his story. It had me glued from the get go. Highly recommend!
