LOVE IN SCOTLAND BOOK 2 Andrew Spencer arrives in Scotland a week before his sister’s wedding and is immediately roped in to help. His job will be to assist the wedding photographer, Natalie Lockhart. However, she turns out to be the unforgettable one-night stand from six years earlier, the one who he connected with in a way he’s never connected with a woman before—both between the sheets and out of them.
Unfortunately, she left before he woke up in the morning, never giving him so much as her name. He should be angry with her, he really should. And yet, the more time he spends with Natalie, the more he wishes he’d woken up in time to catch her six years ago.
Since few women would put up with his family’s duels, one of the weirdest dinners in history, and even a wedding-related chocolate emergency, and not go running for the hills, Natalie Lockhart is one-of-a-kind. The added bonus: she sets his skin on fire unlike any other.
The only question is whether love and laughter will be enough for them to overcome everything and find a way to be together. Of course, that means surviving the wedding and his family first before they can even think of the future. And given the track record of his family and their get-togethers, surviving without an arrest record isn’t always guaranteed.
Jessie Donovan has sold over half a million books, has given away hundreds of thousands more to readers for free, and has even hit the NY Times and USA Today bestseller lists. She is best known for her dragon-shifter series, but also writes about magic users, aliens, and even has a crazy romantic comedy series set in Scotland. When not reading a book, attempting to tame her yard, or traipsing around some foreign country on a shoestring, she can often be found interacting with her readers on Facebook. She lives near Seattle, where, yes, it rains a lot but it also makes everything green.
Andrew Spencer, brother to the bride, was just trying to be a good big brother and show up for his sister’s wedding! Not to mention that the Spencer clan has their own eccentric ideas about nearly everything and are not afraid to show them. It’s the main reason Andrew has not been to Scotland for years before this.
But the real reason was a woman. One very special woman, whom the fates had put in his path many years before, one whom Andrew could never forget. You see this had all taken place in Scotland.
Donnie and Robbie were getting married, Gran was delighted, it was one of those times when the whole clans got together and celebrated! Andrew never thought he would get another chance, to again meet the woman, who had turned him so inside out! But miracles do happen!
Natalie Lockhart, was a good friend of Donnie’s, and the wedding photographer. But when she saw Andrew, all she really wanted to do was run for the hills! Andrew could not believe his luck, she was right in front of him! All Natalie could think about was, he was really here, and why did I run away that day?
So Andrew is tagged to be the Photographer’s Assistant. He’s very happy to oblige, it keeps him out of Grans machinations, and gives him a chance to re-establish himself with the woman he keeps dreaming about. Soon the two are a couple and everyone is watching them. But what really happened to separate them? Why was Natalie so sad? What could Andrew do to wipe the tears away? Well to answer these questions, you just have to pick up a copy of Chaotic Scottish Wedding, and read it for yourself!
I was given an ARC but the Review is all mine and freely given.
Andrew came to Scottland for his sister's wedding. He loved his family, despite the crazy group. Too many male cousins make each get together an episode of the Batchelor or Bachelorette. Yet Andrew had another reason for his hesitation. Six years earlier he'd met a woman. He didn't even know her name. It was not possible he'd see her again. Still...
When Andrew was assigned duty as the photographer's assistant to tote her equipment around. You guessed it. Photographer, AKA, one-night stand. Natalie had a similar remembrance. When they met again she had changed. The bright happy woman he'd met was much subdued.
Andrew always took a challenge vowing to win. Natalie became his new challenge. Could he find the younger happy woman hiding inside?
I love the raucous family, the strong women, the teasing fun, and the history of finding love very quickly. Will Natalie and Andrew keep up the family tradition.?
This story draws on all of the reader's emotions. Sadness, joy, humor, steam, loyalty and you won't want to put it down.
I don't read a lot of romantic comedies but when I find an author I enjoy reading, I read just about anything they write. I totally loved this book. It was filled with so many funny, crazy, chaotic moments and a few sad ones thrown in for good measure.
The Spencer family is like no other family. If you come from a wild, totally out there family you will so relate to the Spencer clan and if you don't then you'll either wish you did or run the other way. Either way once you start reading this book you won't want to put it down.
Chaotic Scottish Wedding is book 2 in the 'Love in Scotland' series. This is Andrew (Andy) Spencer and Natalie (Nattie) Lockhart love story. It can be read as a stand alone but IMO is a more enjoyable read if you first fall in love reading Robbie and Donnie's story in Crazy Scottish Love.
I really liked this book the comedy rolled like crazy with this book and the characters were well loved and were a great match for each other.
Character breakdown;
Andrew: I love a funny man and one that can still care enough about his family like he did. I especially loved how easily he loved Natalie and understood her without any conditions.
Natalie: I felt much sympathy for her but I loved watching her come out of her shell more and more thanks to the Spencer's.
Favorite quote: "Ruby beamed. "Maybe I should ask everyone if they lust after you, Daddy."
I had fun reading this book and most importantly loved revisiting the Spencer's. However I was left with wanting to read Alex's and Elena's story much more than the next one about Donnie and Robbie.
I loved the humor and romance in Book 2 of Jesse Donovan “Chaotic Scottish Wedding”. It is about a love reawakening after 6 year of an unexpected parting by the main characters. They never thought they would see each other again. The storyline is funny, sweet, and sexy all at the same time. The Spencers are very crazy Family and the stuff they do makes you laugh. It doesn’t take long to see what they will try to do next. Their sense of humor and camaraderie makes you wish just a little bit that all families could be like the Spencer’s. It is a must read but you also should include Book 1 to fully understand the entire scenario.
I absolutely loved and enjoyed the second book in this series! Fast paced, funny, cute and a lot of sexy mixed in together. Natalie and Andrew had met 6 years prior in a steamy one night stand. Neither seeing each other until today, but each had wondered who the other might be. Timing is everything and now with both of them matured, they find they are ready to accept the passion and connection between them. However, there is a wedding, family and even a dance competition to get through. I hope you enjoy this book as much as I did. I received an ARC for an honest review.
I received an ARC copy for an honest review. This is Natalie and Andrew`s story and book #2. The books are better when you read them in order but can be read as a stand alone. Andy is visiting Ireland for his sister Donella's wedding and is assigned to help the wedding photographer Natalie. Natalie is also Donella's new best friend on the island. But Natalie and Andrew have met before... This book was wonderful. It held my interest the entire time and I wish Andrew was real and mine. ;)
Loved this story! Andrew and Natalie are so adorable together. I loved reading their story and watching them fall in love. Andrew and Natalie had met six years before, but fear for falling for Andrew had Natalie running away before a relationship could even begin between them. Though time has passed, Andrew never forgot Natalie. When Andrew comes to Scotland for his sister's wedding, he can't believe that the girl who got away, is a new friend of his sister. Now, they get a do over. Time has passed and life has taken them on a quite a journey, they find the chemistry between one another to still exist and they are determined not to have another "what if" situation between them. They both take a chance on what a relationship between them could be. Fun, sweet, romantic, and hilarious, this story had it all! I am loving this new series by Jessie Donovan and my desire to Scotland keeps increasing as she keeps telling these stories.
I absolutely loved book two in this series. This crazy Scottish family is full on and intense but so loveable. They meddle but it comes from a good place. And while at times I was shaking my head, it was with a broad grin on my face. A must read. Hoping for more
Fun Fun Fun, Loved Andrew (Andy). His sense of humor and fun made me laugh out loud. Andy brings Natalie (Nattie) out of herself and back into the land of the living. Full of loads of laughs and shenanigans! really enjoyed this book and can not wait for the next... From a Fan... Pam James.
I thoroughly enjoyed the second book in this series. I love the characters and can't get enough of these ratbags. I'm looking forward to the next book in the series.
I was so excited to see another installment in the Scotland series! Andrew and Natalie were meant to be together, but it took them six years apart to find each other and figure that out! Such a meant-to-be romance complete with crazy family in a beautiful country. Loved it!
