Bug Hunt Rade Galaal and his faithful crew are back in a new adventure. This time they’re working for themselves. Isaac Hooke’s writing is a little more adult in nature with the soldierly banter, but everything that made you love his writing before is present in this new adventure. I look forward to the next work in this new trilogy.
You Are Prey. Rade Galaal and his faithful crew are back in a new adventure in the Argonauts Trilogy. Hooke’s writing is again, a little more adult in nature with the soldierly banter, but everything that made you love his writing before is present in this new adventure. I look forward to the final book in this new trilogy.
Alien Empress. Rade Galaal and his faithful crew are back in the conclusion of the Argonauts Trilogy. Hooke’s writing is again, a little more adult in nature with the soldierly banter, but everything that made you love his writing before is present in this new adventure. I look forward to reading more about Rade Galall and his faithful crew in a future work. (RIP Marley January 20, 2014 - July 24, 2018)

Repetitive

The first book was fun and fast a fast read, as well as a natural take off from the authors previous books. The second was interesting but somewhat repetitive. The third book became not only repetitive but somewhat confusing with technologies that were just bigger and better and could do more stuff. The author should have quite when he was ahead with a unique plot and story.

Bug Hunt
You are prey
Alien Empress

There are more to this series. It is like a weekly hour long TV show.
I’d give it a 3.5 stars.

I didn't expect War and Peace when I bought these and I didn't get that. These books are raw fast-paced shoot em ups that deliver just that. If you want to turn your mind off and just live in a morally unambiguous , action packed, romp with always a happy ending then these are for you.

I wasn't thrilled with this trilogy. The stories were very similar to each other so one book was essentially the same as the one before. Also the aliens were disappointing. The main bad guy was an amorphous race that were essentially evil, but one faction was fighting the evil faction and needed humans to help them.

Sigh. I get sucked in. I finish. I cannot remember any of the plot that differs from those adolescent westerners I read as a young adult. I am blaming the lack of a social life with this 2020 shelter-in-place which is somewhat similar to those days at sea in my late teenage/early twenties. Only recommend if they are the only available books. Otherwise save your eyesight.

There is a lot to like about this book. I gave it three stars because there is way to much unnecessary information and a lot of repeat information. Otherwise these are really great books. Very entertaining. They just need some editing.

Cliche ridden

While the writing is decent, there's nothing original here. Anyone who's seen any world war 2 movie has seen ask these characters and situations. With a little more thought, this could have been very entertaining.

Bax steals the show.

I love the future
It sounds like our automatons will give us a run for our money.
My favorite quote was Bax telling Blender he'd have a poem for him.
Keep writing and I'll keep reading.
