Forced to go on an extended family vacation, Megan makes the best of the situation and finds an unexpected friend. But soon she realizes there’s more to Cristiano’s motives and is glad to leave him behind.

Once back home, Megan notices bizarre happenings around her. School faculty, friends, and even her stepmother act odd while a nondescript figure keeps appearing at random moments. When she expresses her concern to David, he seems distracted, like he’s hiding something. Could Brian be behind it all, or is some other entity out to get her?

This was a long read, but a good one. Just when it seems like things have calmed down for our lovebirds Megan and David, some mysterious fiend starts popping up in the most inconvenient places. Is it an old enemy, or something new? And what's with the soccer star new kid Cristiano?😍😂
.
I like Megan. She is 17 going on 40. She's smart, capable, and maybe too sweet. Her ongoing feud with her gold-digging wicked stepmother kept me reading, and I'm still waiting for that girl to get some decent revenge. 😈
.
I have to admit I didn't always like David--which is good. He's a believable character, and acts just like you'd expect a wealthy one-hundred-something vampire to. Gentlemanly, a little patronizing, and he keeps things from Megan "for her own good". Guess how that goes? 😂
.
But at the end of the day he truly does love her, and is very good to her. You got me with that Phantom of the Opera bit, Linette!🎭
.
I loved the ending! It's got me on tenterhooks for the next installment, which luckily the author JUST released!🎉🎉💀🧛🏻‍♂️👩🎃 These books are creepy, fun YA vampire reads, but actually pretty clean.

Another Excellent Adventure

Megan and David are back, and I was on the edge of my seat wondering what kind of mystery lurked within the mysterious Cristiano. And what about Brian? Things take a sinister turn as he plots revenge.

Layered with romance zesty enough to be its own brand of hot sauce and mysteries that will leave readers anticipating page after page, “Rogue” is a must read.

I quite enjoyed this sequel to Daimon. The series is well constructed and I loved the characters which were very memorable. I read the first book in the series over six months ago, but when I finally got to Rogue, everything came back to me like I read it yesterday.

Although Rogue is a little long, it has a nice tempo, building the romance between Megan and David and adding a great new character, which brought in new supernaturals to this world Kasper envisions and adding intrigue. She really kept me guessing, which is rare.

I enjoyed the Twilight series back in the day and love how Daimon and Rogue take a different approach to vampires and how a human-vampire relationship could develop. There is something refreshing and unique about Kasper’s vision.

Rogue is a fun and engaging sequel for the Daimon series. The novel features a continuation of the first book and dives deeper than ever in unique and never before used systems exploring the supernatural community. Kasper continues to tell a paranormal romance story with engaging concepts and characters that keep you coming for more. I was captivated by the mystery in this book and was on the edge of my seat as it was unveiled before me. I only give this book a four star rating because at times I felt that the book ran a little long which I felt interrupted the story when it was moving along. I would recommend this book to fans of supernatural romances who want to be surprised by the unique world and captivating characters.
