Five months after traveling to a post-apocalyptic future where collectives reign supreme and individuals have been hunted to the verge of extinction, Maggie Harper was returned to her own time until the threat to her life could be neutralized. Last year, I was contacted by a fellow blogger, and follower, to read possibly review her Sci-Fi book entitled Persistence of Vision . I'll admit, I was, and still am, a huge supporter of self-published book, but I'm under no impression that they are ALL cut from a thoroughly edited cloth. Some of the self-published books I've come across have been horrendously edited, and just downright sloppy in it's execution, and then...OH..and then, there are diamonds in the rough, spots of sunshine through the storm, shall I continue these horrible analogies? Liesel K. Hill BLEW.ME.AWAY with her first novel in the Interchron series (read my review here!). Since then, I have been impatiently awaiting the second book in the series, and ALAS, Liesel kept me in mind when it came time for advanced copies, and I couldn't be MORE grateful. Quantum Entanglement was a continuation of the raw talent,and knack for Sci-Fi deliciousness, that was abundant in the first book.
I was already extremely familiar with the main characters, side characters, and occasional characters-it was like coming back to a favourite vacation spot, and seeing old faces. Liesel was able to reintroduce them flawlessly into the narrative, which is always helpful for readings who chose to not follow a series from the initial book. It's a testament to good writing, and Liesel is one HELL of a writer. This time around, however, Maggie is in the company of her brother Jonah, who quickly became a favourite character of mine. I'm making this as spoiler-free as possible, so let's just say that very early on in the book, they both venture somewhere together . What ensues is a hurricane of time-jumping, back-story reveals, and more drama and action than you could ask for in a good novel. I was happy to find that some of my favourite characters still held strong to their values, and that I was able to watch them grow in mental, and physical strength, as the book progressed. There were new faces as well, and I'm excited to read how Liesel explores their personalities in the 3rd installment of the series.
I said it in my post for Liesel's crime novel, Dark Remnants (read my review here): I still can't believe that this author has not been picked up by one of the big 3, well-known, publishers. I would LOVE to be able to promote AND sell this book in the large bookstore I work for. This book, along with every other piece of writing she's crafted, deserves more promotion and attention than it's getting. The Interchron series is a solid one, in both writing, character development, and back-story explanations.
If you're in the market for a great Sci-Fi novel, pick this one up. If you're in the market for a great book PERIOD, pick up this book!

I frickin LOVED this book! It was so cool! As awesome as the First was! I cant hardly wait for the 3rd in the series! I especially love that this was done by a MASTEr of a storyteller, Liesel K Hill! She is a Marvelous author! Great dystopian writer! There should be more like this one! It was far better than things like Twilight or The Hunger Games!!!!;)

As with the first book in the series, Persistence of Vision, I loved the science fiction aspect of the story. But, I still found the dialogue stilted and unnatural. So much of the dialogue is repetitive or juvenile. I wish this wasn't the case. I believe this series has the potential to be amazing.

This is book two in the Interchron series and starts with Maggie back in her own time and on a night out with her brother Jonah and his girlfriend Justine. The sudden approach of a group of men intent on harming her, leads her to find out that Justine is not at all who she seems. Jonah and Maggie have to go on the run and she can only hope that Marcus and his team will come back in time to save her. It’s only been five months since the events of the last book, where she got most of her memories back and it was thought to be safer for her to go back to her own time, rather than stay at Interchron. But that is obviously not the case!
Marcus and Karl have left Interchron and are concealing their presence, so not even their friends can find them. They are on the hunt for Colin, one of the head people of the Collective, whose aim is to kill Maggie, before she can fulfil her part in the prophecy, which could see the end of the Union/Collective. An overheard message gets those left at base setting off to help find Maggie, led by David and Leia, as well as a young Traveller, Kirstee. They try to help Maggie back to Interchron, but the young Traveller can only take them so far into the future at a time, before needing to rest and recover. Something is wrong and the assassin coming after Maggie, seems to know their every location.
Seeing the future and the way in which society is falling apart, as the Collective starts to gain a footing, is terrifying and civil unrest is just increasing at every stop along the way. Power seems to be with the Collectives and the assassin they have sent to kill Maggie. Maggie and her group are getting more tired at every stop, failing to get food and water or even sufficient rest and now Maggie’s powers are failing her and the group may end up defenceless. The masterplans of the person called B, are coming to a head and the Interchron group may finally fall. They have the power of millions of minds linked together, giving them a lot of shared knowledge and advantages over the individuals trying to survive outside of slave like collectives. Both groups think theirs is the only way to live and survive.
Matters come to a head against Colin, the assassin and their hordes of foot soldiers, at the foot of a mountain, where Maggie and the others saw a huge change in the landscape had occurred in the time they were away, but now they are travelling forward in time again, it hasn’t happened yet, but something is building to a conclusion. Whether they will all survive is questionable, especially if Marcus doesn’t find them through time and if Maggie cannot defeat the assassin, who seems to be able to dampen her powers whenever she is close to her. Seeing the effects of what happened to the world and what the future had brought from such different outlooks on life, as individuals or as part of the Collective, is a disturbing one.
Lots happening in this book and although it took me a bit to get back into it at the start, that was due to the time between reading each book in the series, rather than any comment on the writing. There is some definite hard core physics talk in parts of the storyline, such as the phrase used for the title, quantum entanglement, and this is used as part of the explanation of what is happening to them and how Maggie and her very identity and relationship to some of the others is linked. She has more memories, but also seems to be able to do more than she should be able to. A great addition to the book at the end, when an epic battle takes place and one side manages to get a foot ahead of the other at long last. Great lead into the next book in the series and I can’t wait for it. I received an ARC copy of this book from BookSprout and I have freely given my own opinion of the book above.

This is the second book in the Interchron series and I was given an ARC copy in exchange for an honest review.
This is not a standalone read. I enjoyed the adventure in this book. There are still so many things that are a mystery. There is action, the collective is not playing fair, and there is much to learn about several team members.
This book is actually told in 3 povs, Maggie's group ( which includes some newbies who are introduced), Doc's group still at or near Interchron, and Marcus' group (on a manhunt of sorts). The choice to write the book this way proved suspenseful. Maggie's group is on the run and it looks as though Maggie has met her match. It was insightful to see the memories unfolding, especially for Marcus, which helped to understand both brothers. There were things that were uncovered about Doc as well that gave pause and confirmation. And the epilogue promises far worse to come.
The writing would have been great, but there were blaring errors in the editing that I hope are corrected before the release date. The errors caused me to reread in several areas and took me out of the story, which affected the pacing and the book's ability to captivate me wholly. Many places had words typed wrong, like he instead of her, or double words in a sentence which seemed to make the sentence sputter.
There was adult language, used sparsely. No adult scenes. A few scenes may be disturbing to readers due to violence. 3.5 stars

It is said no plan survives contact with the enemy, and Maggie's plan to hide out in her past is no exception. This book starts out with a bang and everything just builds from there. More action, more romance (including a bit of a triangle), much higher stakes, surprising perspectives from new characters, memories and past secrets revealed, deeper philosophical pondering. This book jumps between three groups of characters, many times frames, and ends with a serious boss battle. It gets quite a bit darker than the first book too.
Strongly plotted and well paced book, I enjoyed seeing how the various characters mirrored and foiled one another. There is a great deal of internal struggle and growth in this book as well as the more obvious external struggle. We get to see the beginnings of The Collective and what made it so enticing to people as well as the dangers and where things went wrong. Robin Wasser does a great job reading this book. She can get quite impassioned.
Book 2 of what looks to be 6 in the Interchron series, this book is tightly interlaced with the previous book (and subsequent books to be honest as it is a time travel story) Read the series in order or you will be a bit disorientated, and honestly even you read book one you might still be a bit disorientated, but it is a very rich, complex plot to be savored, not rushed and even though there are still many questions to be answered and large issues left sitting out, it is all starting to resolve and come together.

Full-Speed-Ahead Second Installment
What a complex world this author has created, and she starts this second installment of the series off with a bang that can’t help but pull you in. I never like to see ladies threatened by thuggish men, but Maggie was able to take care of them even if her abilities weren’t up to full strength.
The author’s writing style goes down easy, yet she is still able to show us precisely what is going on, both in the outer world of the story and the inner world of the viewpoint character. Maggie is a fantastic dystopian heroine; even when she isn't functioning at full capacity, she gives it her all! Giving up doesn't seem to be in her nature. I love that this story was told to us from three perspectives, so we got to see what was happening to three separate groups of characters: Marcus’s group (a manhunt), Maggie’s perspective while on the run, and Doc’s people around Interchron. This adds to the conflict and makes for a page-turner. It also makes us more “in the know” than each group, ratcheting up the tension since we understand the further ramifications and implications that characters cannot. A thoroughly enjoyable series and a particularly delightful second installment. Often, the middle book of a trilogy loses a little steam or can seem repetitive or derivative. This one, thankfully, was not.

Book 2 comes out stronger than book 1. That is mostly because the second doesn’t get weighed down with the burdensome explanations of the world’a history and the developed powers as is able to just tell the story. However, this story, while interesting and fun to listen to, doesn’t advance the plot line as much as it could have. Yes, there is plenty that goes on, with new characters and powers, but it doesn’t have the feel of major plot points moving forward. The grand finale actually makes it feel more that way with more questions raised than answered. Still, this sets the next book to be a powerhouse, which some questions hopefully answered, such as who Doc really is (just answer the question we already know the answer for) and Maggie’s premonitions (we know they aren’t fragments of her past).

This a another solid read to the follow-up of Persistence of Vision. I loved that some past characters have come back to take up roles that were left has question marks in the prior book (Maggie's brother Johan). In this book, those frustrating giant gaps in the plot are starting to get filled in (this is to be expected I supposed when dealing with pesky time-traveling genres; all in good time). As this dystopian world opens up, the characters will start to draw you in more. Ms. Hill is a very clever woman in her writing style in this way.

Though in the paranormal genre this book is very very innovative.
Parallel time strands and inter time traveling, very interesting super powers and the imagery how the world will be in many different time lines creates a very different concept of the book.
Honestly something every paranormal & sci-fi fan should try.

Amazing! Action packed, mysterious, intriguing, great characters, excellent world building, very imaginative, original, well written, ...these are the descriptive words that come to mind about this book. I don’t normally read the sci-fi, dystopian genres but I started with the free first book and couldn’t stop there. I just had to keep on reading to find out what happened. Now after this second book, I still can’t stop. I gotta keep going on to book three. I received this book at no cost from the author. This is one book - one series that I can easily recommend.

This review is for the audiobook series. I really love the series and the characters which are fully developed and have their own voices. The author really makes you care about them and their plight. It's full of action which kept me listening long after bedtime. I highly recommend the books. While the narrator did a good job of making the voices clearly recognizable, I was often put off by the over-the-top performance. There were places this could have been taken down a notch or five. I enjoyed book 2 as much as the first one. The world building was fascinating and included parameters that limited the characters in the use of their power. The characters were detailed and complex. The story was fast-paced and filled with action. I was entertained by the theory of quantum entanglement presented in this tale. I am looking forward to the next book in the series. I recommend this story to others who enjoy this genre. Robin Wasser's narration was entertaining. I was given a free copy of the audiobook and I have voluntarily posted this review.

I really enjoyed this even though some was confusing since I hadn't read Book 1.
Dystopian worlds always have their pronblems, to a great or very great extent. I found it quite gripping in many places and thoroughly engaging. The majority of the characters were easy to relate to, being portrayed very realistically.
All up this book was more than enough to make me want to read the rest of the series..

This is the 4th book I've read written Liesel K. Hill; she has done a great job at writing a good book; I will definitely be reading more of her books.
The story line caught my attention at the very beginning and kept me interested throughout the entire book.
I loved the chemistry between the characters.

I really enjoyed Quantum Entanglement. I was given a free copy of this audiobook at my request in exchange for an honest review. Maggie is waiting for Marcus. Months go by then others from the future she returned from come to take her back to fulfill the prophecy. Meanwhile Marcus is trying to solve another problem that arose from her last trip. Many time jumps from all involved to reunite them all together to attempt to solve the next conflict with her team. I recommend this book.

This book keeps you jumping from start to finish. There is one big puzzle that comes to light in pieces as the story goes on. The story is a good one, I haven’t read or listened to this author before but will be exploring other books for the future. The narrator did a great job, there were a few mistakes that should have been edited out, but overall a great job. All of the elements combined into a very pleasing experience.

this is the second book in the series and it is a fabulous series. I love the characters, the storyline/plot and the action keeps me glued to the pages. I have read a few other books by this author and have not been disappointed. This series is very original and this book is a must read!!!

Quantum Entanglement by Liesel K. Hill is an awesome story to read. This is book number two in this awesome series that I have loved reading very much and can not wait to get the next book. I highly recommend this story to everyone who loves reading about Sci-Fi and paranormal romance.

I enjoyed this Audible story even more then book 1 in this series. The Main Characters and story is coming together and many things are explained. The story is set to continue on in the next book, a lot of new things are happening and I can Not wait to have some of them explained in the coming book. Narrator does a good job and I highly recommend this series to others!!

Very intense
This installment was intense. The characters have grown and evolved. Some secrets revealed and some hinted at. Some doubts strewn. Will all our good guys survive to see a HEA?

I loved this book and if you like fantasy dystopian stories, you will too! The characters are well developed and great, the story world is complex, but understandable. The narrator did a great job and overall this was a book I could not put down! Highly enjoyable story!
