Firstly, I love astrology and know a bit but this was a really good collection of a lot about it. With good pictures and good information, it read not boring like a textbook but was interesting. I am so intrigued by astrology and how everything aligns and fits in together. It's really cool. I definitely recommend.
I did get to read this for free through the Callisto Publisher's Club but the opinions here are my own.

Ever wanted to get deeper into your sign and better understand yourself? Your sun sign barely glosses over who you are - which is why reading horoscopes can be so "off" at times. This well-written book delves you deep into the different planetary alignments and more, and how each of these things affects who you are when it comes to astrology.

Simply get your natal chart done (something you can do for free online using your birthdate, time of birth, and where you were born) and then go through this book with that information to learn more about yourself. I was amazed as I read the different planetary connections and the information that was available beyond my sun sign.

I received this book free from the publisher, and this is an honest and unbiased review.

This book is fun to read if you have interest in astrology or are a beginner with astrology. Easy to understand and learn the basics. It was an enjoyable book and I've been studying astrology for a couple years.

Modern Astrology is truly a Goddess send! I wish it was around years ago when I first became interested in going beyond the daily/monthly/annual astrology pages. The book is so comprehensive and explains the basic concepts of astrology and learning to read a chart in such a down-to-earth way. It's great that it is practical too with personal development exercises to help with typical challenges each sign faces. A real plus is the shamanic element - going on an inner vision quest to seek guidance from within - it helps me trust my own unique voice and what I find within when I journey to planets etc. This book can truly help you to become comfortable being you. Modern Astrology is a ground breaking book written for ordinary people which makes Louise Edington the peoples' astrologer!

I am so enjoying this book! I have always been fascinated by astrology but my previous attempts at learning it in a more in depth way failed due to the complex nature of many astrology books. Louise has a great way of writing about astrology in a very accessible and relevant way, which has enabled me to explore this vast subject with interest, intrigue and gain a much deeper understanding of myself easily. I love how Louise explains the connection of the Natal chart on a soul journey, this makes her work very personal and so interesting. Highly recommend!

I really liked this book, but I was kind of disappointed because I don't feel it lived up to its title.

I thought this book was going to focus more on evolutionary astrology. The beginning made it seem that way but after reading it really only seems to mention it at certain points instead of doing more in-depth interpretations of placements. It's more like a 'cookbook'.

That isn't to say that I didn't enjoy my reading of it. I learned a lot of new things and the author has an engaging voice. While reading the interpretations it kind of got repetitive due to the fact that the author would reuse the introduction, etc. This annoyed me a little, but I get the need for it.

All in all, this was a good book. I like the author's style and I will look into reading her other book.

I have always loved books about astrology and it's been quite a while since I've found a good one that I've liked. The reason I really like this one is because it suggests you create your natal chart first , (you can easily do this-just look on the web on how to create one), and then you use that info to learn more specific stuff about your particular sign and whatnot. It's more detailed info that traditional astrology books, since it gathers more info than just your sign. Very interesting and fun too! I received a complimentary copy of this book from the publisher.

Even though this wasn’t a required resource for my 101 class, it was absolutely helpful in giving me a clear understanding of how the planets interacted in the houses and signs. I absolutely recommend this as not only a resource, but as a book that is easy to read and packed full of knowledge if you’re a lover of astrology.

Given so many choices in life, I feel like people are looking for direction. I love how this book is organized to do just that. Put the road map in our own hands with clear instructions. It's a beautiful book supported by YouTube and Facebook installments.

Easy to follow, introductory guide to modern astrology. Lays out the basics and has great journaling /habit prompts and kind of lazy meditation prompts (they all are very similar.) Thanks for sharing your knowledge Louise!

Pretty good book, explains everything very well, after reading it I can analyze anyone’s chart. Could have a lot more detailed explanation about each planet in a sign and especially the houses, instead of just keywords but good nonetheless <3
