Oh boy, this was so funny!
A cutsie critter randomly picks up a high schooler to become the next magical girl.
Problem is the girl is the meanest hard-ass bitch around : She is negativity incarnate, chain-smokes, swears like a sailor and tends to resolve any kind of problem with use of extreme violence.
But she’s a natural and is very efficient at blowing demons to bits. With a vengeance.
MGHS is an OTT parody of magical girl stories in overkill mode. It’s absolutely 100% dumb but funny dumb. I actually laughed my ass out reading this and that’s something that basically NEVER happens. I’m pretty sure the french translation helped a great deal. Kayo (the magical girl) is angry 24/7 and uses the worst and foulest language possible but the translator made her sound the way french teenagers from the 'hood speak nowadays and the discrepancy between her cute appearance and her psychopathic attitude is hilarious.
No real plot to speak of so far, panty shots all over the place and obscenities as a communication mode. Read and enjoy but make sure your 12 yo cute little sister/brother doesn’t.

Machimaho ist einfach zum schießen komisch :D so ziemlich ausversehen wird Kayo zum Magical Girl auserkoren, hat aber so gar keinen Bock drau fund will lieber Rauchen und Leuten in die Fresse hauen.
Und genau das passiert hier - wärhend das süße Magicalpet versucht aus ihr ein echtes süßes Magical Girl zu machen, macht Kayo einfach alle Monster mit phyischen Schlägen kaputt und hat auch überhaupt keinen Bock sich zu verwandeln - dauert nämlich zu lang.
Dazu kommt, dass es so übertrieben sexistisch ist, dass es wieder witzig ist x,D auf jeder zweiten Seite sieht man Kayos Unterhose, sodass es eifnach nur lächerlich ist. Vorallem weil es sie einen Scheiß kümmert, und wenn mal wer hinguckt, kriegt er aufs Maul (ich liebe solche Mädels). Vorallem ist es so unsexy gezeichnet, dass es sich über den Fanservice in anderen mangas lustig macht :D

This one actually surprised me in parts, since among a three hyper violence and action, there were some truly heartfelt moments. I'm actually gonna pick up volume 2.

Der Manga hat mir vom Zeichenstil einfach mega zugesagt. Gott wie ich diese Gesichtsausdrücke, die starke Linienführung, die kontrastreichen Zeichnungen und die gesamte Aufmachung geliebt habe.
Die Handlung war allerdings nicht ganz so meins.
Der Humor, der vor allem mit Gewalt gepaart war, deckt sich null mit meinem. Ich kann mit der Kombination von Gewalt und Humor nur sehr, sehr selten etwas anfangen. Es gibt aber eben auch kleinen Perlen, bei denen es so ist („Sun-Ken-Rock“) und deshalb wollte ich dem Manga eine Chance geben. Dies ist aber leider nicht eine dieser Perlen. Die Prota ist sehr unsympathisch, was das Genießen des Mangas ebenfalls erschwert.
Einem Mädchen werden von einem Wesen magische Kräfte verliehen, mit deren Hilfe sie Monster bekämpfen soll. Zu spät erkennt das Wesen, welche gestörte Person es da zum Magical Girl ernannt hat. Die Prota ist schwer Zigaretten abhängig, schlägt einfach zu, wenn sie jemand nervt, zeigt kein Mitleid...
Der Manga ist actiongeladen und durchaus originell.
Da der Zeichenstil mich wirklich so sehr in den Bann zieht, werde ich wohl die Reihe weiter verfolgen.

Depuis un petit moment maintenant, et grâce à un de mes fils qui adore ce genre de lecture, j’ai commencé à m’intéresser aux mangas, au départ, plus par curiosité, pour voir ce qu’il aimait avec ce genre de lecture. Après en avoir lu quelques uns de ses livres, j’avais envie de me lancer moi aussi, peut-être pas au même rythme que lui, mais j’étais une adepte des BD en étant jeune donc le manga me tentait depuis quelques années, il fallait juste que je me décide à me lancer.
Tout comme pour mes autres lectures, j’aime lorsque les héros ou héroïnes sortent du lot, que les personnages ne soient pas sortis d’un moule et qu’ils ne ressemblent pas aux autres. De ceux que j’ai déjà pu découvrir avec mon fils, je peux vous certifier que Kayo est totalement différente, déjà elle a un sacré foutu caractère, faut surtout pas l’emmerder si vous tenez à vos dents !
Lorsque Myu l’a choisie comme Magical Girl, il ne se doutait pas de la suite, ni du satané caractère de son élue. On peut dire sans hésiter qu’elle envoie du lourd, elle est adepte des jeux vidéos de combat où elle est imbattable, elle fume comme un pompier et ne soyez pas sur son chemin quand elle ressent l’envie de se griller une clope, vous risqueriez de le regretter pendant longtemps. A partir du moment où Myu a fait son apparition dans sa vie, celle-ci a radicalement changé, elle est sans cesse assaillie par les stremons, qui eux sont attirés par son énergie négative.
Kayo va t’elle devenir la cible favorite des stremons ? Vu son caractère, je n’en doutes pas, mais si elle avait été différente, je ne pense pas que je l’aurais autant appréciée, moi j’aime les personnages différents, alors elle est pile dans le genre que j’aime. Avec ce premier tome, nous faisons donc sa connaissance, quant à elle, eh bien elle fait connaissance avec Myu qui l’a désignée comme Magical Girl, elle va devoir apprendre à maîtriser ses nouvelles compétences, même si elle se débrouille déjà bien sans, cela va lui prendre un moment pour les maîtriser parce que Kayo n’est pas du genre à écouter ce qu’on lui dit, alors Myu et ses explications … Fait ensuite son apparition, Rei, un jeune homme d’apparence charmante, qui lorsqu’il a vu la jeune fille en action, a voulu devenir son chevalier servant, ou son esclave en quelque sorte. Je n’ai pas forcément eu une bonne première impression sur lui, peut-être que je me trompe, mais il me donne plutôt l’impression de cacher quelque chose, de cacher celui qu’il est réellement.
Une chose est certaine, impossible de s’ennuyer avec ce premier tome, le rythme est hyper soutenu jusqu’à la fin. J’espère malgré tout que Kayo aura quelques moments de répits, bien qu’elle soit toujours en quête d’action, il arrive un moment où le corps ne suit plus. Mais je ne doutes pas d’elle, elle a une volonté de fer et son caractère lui donnera la force nécessaire pour venir à bout de tout les obstacles qui se dresseront devant elle. Alors que je termine le premier tome, je n’ai qu’une envie, pouvoir me plonger dans la suite. Si vous chercher une héroïne manga qui sort du lot, ne cherchez pas plus loin, il faut que vous fassiez connaissance avec Kayo, elle devrait vous plaire.

Das Cover ist sehr pink - wirklich SEHR! Aber vielleicht erstmal nicht abschrecken lassen.
Wenn man sich das Cover genauer ansieht, sieht man die Protagonistin Kajo die sich zu einem Magical Girl verwandelt hat. Ihre auffälligen eingedrehten Zöpfe und ihr knappes Outfit sind schon etwas eigen. Aber auch sie selbst. Sie ist nicht das brave Schulmädchen - sie ist launisch, raucht zu viel und geht jeden an. Sie flucht wirklich viel und beleidigt jeden. Aber hey - warum immer nur lieb und nett? Ich fand es jedenfalls unterhaltsam. Dann gibt es da noch ihren süßen kleinen "Freund". Er ist zwar teilweise etwas nervig, macht das aber durch sein süßes Auftreten und durch seine Ängstlichkeit weg.
Es hat mich teilweise an Sailor Moon erinnert, die habe ich früher geliebt! Klar war sie nicht ganz so krass drauf wie Kajo, aber man erkennt gewisse parallelen.
Die Zeichnungen sind sehr gut und haben mich durch das Buch begleitet. Die Schrift war mir allerdings teilweise etwas zu klein...da musste teilweise etwas gedrückt werden und ich hatte überlegt ob ich eine Lupe benötige.
Durch die vielen Flüche, Beleidigungen und viel freier Haut ist hier eine Altersempfehlung ab 16 - die ich unterschreibe.
Ein netter Manga für zwischendurch aber leider nichts großartiges.

If you ever thought One Punch Man would've been more fun if Saitama was a foul-mouthed, chain-smoking, delinquent high school girl, then boy, do I have the manga for you. There's a little more to Machimaho than that, but overall, it leans pretty heavily on its main conceit: Kayo is angry all the time, and has a penchant for beating the crap out of the cute animal mascot that turned her into a magical girl. She sometimes beats the crap out of other people/things, but that's the gist of it. Also, panty shots. Lots and lots of panty shots.
The plot does eventually get a bit more meat to it, introducing a sort of galactic council of cute animal mascots discussing the huge uptick of atatsunmo (the monsters Kayo fights) on Earth, the emergence of a evil(?) magical girl, and fleshing out some side characters to a marginal degree. But it's not really enough to elevate this series above its "Kayo SMASH!" trappings. That said, Machimaho isn't exactly bad, either. It's just...average, so far; I don't feel any real urgency to keep reading, but if I ever see volume two on sale, I'd probably pick it up.

This manga isn't for everyone....but it was very fun??? There was some things that I could have taken out but since I am not the primary audience for this I get why it was put in there. The art is very dark and moments are text-heavy and confusing, however it is so entertaining and interesting taking turns that I didn't expect. There are so many triggers in this that I just recommend if it doesn't look like something you'd be interested in, don't pick it up. If you like dark twisty things and magical girl feels in a negative light, check this out. 3.5 out of 5 stars because of all the excess unnecessary triggers.

C'est très violent, très vulgaire (beaucoup de gros mots) et super drôle. J'aime beaucoup le second degré de l'auteur (autrice?) par rapport aux clichés des mangas (parfait exemple avec le cadrage américain et le cadrage japonais) et le dessin est impeccable. J'ai acheté ce manga un peu sur un coup de tête parce que la couverture me plaisait et que j'aimais bien l'idée d'une anti-magical girl, et je me suis éclatée. Recommandé... mais pas pour les publics sensibles!

I really enjoyed it , it is funny, it is a mix between a shonen and a magical girl in a seinen. I like the light and shadows in the fithgs I hope one day this was animated, it will be amazing sure.

I’m sad this doesn’t have much traction. This story is genuinely interesting and hilarious, as much as it’s kind of confusing. Kayo is a good waifu, I love her character. I want to know more about how she thinks. I’m just kind of hoping that other volumes clear up some plot holes for me.

This one had a lot of solid laugh out loud moments, and I’ll definitely be giving volume 2 a read.
I wasn’t in love with the …tonal shifts re: how much gory damage some of the monsters do to random people before getting taken down— but since our characters don’t really seem to care about all that at all, maybe it’s arguable that the tone *doesn’t* really shift that much lol.
Edit: Just finished up vol 7, and I’d say the series has continued to add depth and get better and better with each volume. I’m having an absolutely fantastic time with the series at this point.

Honestly a hilarious manga. It's very meta, like aware of it's self, and very crass/ humorous. I loved this chain-smoking magical girl and I love how ridiculous she is. And the guy that has space dandy vibes. I was sold immediately.

Yeah, this was okay. The artwork’s pretty cool, the premise is okay, and the main character is okay. Myu drove me nuts with the puns and adding “mew” to everything and Majibe was okay, but I didn’t think she was that interesting. I got what this manga was going for, but it just didn’t jive with me. If you want to try it, go for it. Not bad, but not great.
