My goal is to make a September 2018 publication, and the community is being amazingly supportive, especially since they've already read the story. But this will make it available to the larger m/m community.

4 Finale Stars!
It’s no secret that I really really like this series and I’m very grateful for being able to read it, so thank you to the generous people who felt that readers everywhere should and could get access to it.
Gala has not failed in impressing me with her linguistic talents, and this was no exception. I wanted a concrete and happy ending for Liam and Ondry, and I was not disappointed. This is an unconventional unique original romance, and it’s in space and there’s alien tail sex and to top it all off, a really truly epic connection between two individuals who never thought they could find love and happiness ever, but did so with one another.
Simply wonderful and definitely, a favorite series!

It kills me to write this review. I don't want to say anything negative because I adore Liam and Ondry, and have been in love with this series since book one. But needs must.
I am happy that Liam and Ondry got their true HEA, but not thrilled with the way this story played out.
Ondry was different here, more neurotic somehow and overprotective to a fault. His fear of dogs, or one dog specifically, irritated me, as much as I tried to understand his Rownt point of view. It was irrational, and the Rownt are anything if not rational!
I found it interesting how much Liam had adapted to Rownt ways, to the point that he didn't always understand Zach Mora, one of the Grandmother's palteia.
There was no real plot to the story, and while I go gaga over linguistic and cultural discussions, some of the conversations read like filler.
Liam and Ondry also argued about the weirdest things, like Liam being sore after being fucked with a tail for almost three hours; I mean, wouldn't you be???
The driving force in the story was the Rownt attempting to trade with the Imshee for genetic material that would greatly increase a human's life span. The resolution to this, however, was a mere afterthought. We are told what happened, not shown; there is no description or tension on page.
I was appalled by this, truly shocked and kind of angry, truth be told. I'm invested in these MCs and wanted more than two sentences about something that's been a main focus throughout the series!
Ondry's decision as to whether or not he should hibernate to grow taller as befitting his tuk status was also dismissed.
So damn disappointing! 😭 Don't get me wrong, I loved revisiting with these two and am grateful for the HEA, but this book wasn't up to par with the first three (somewhat understandable since it was originally not going to be published).

re - listen - April - Yes this one was definietly very 'explainy'. Not a favourite and would have only been given 3 stars if it was anyone other than Liam and Ondry. On a side note it was good to finish the audiobooks of this series!!

AUDIOBOOK June 2024: Fabulous!
Audiobook review Dec 2019: 4 Stars ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️Well, Godsdamnit!! I plowed through this series a second time via audiobook narrated by John Solo. And the whole thing was spectacular! ❤️❤️👏👏!! And now.....it’s over and I don’t know what the fuck to do except maybe pray for Lyn Gala to get John Solo to narrate Earth Fathers Are Weird🙏🙏🙏🐙🥰!!
Just read or listen to this series because it’s more than just about tail sex, it’s about what makes people, humans and aliens, tick. It’s about life, understanding, and above all, LOVE!!

What a joy it was to visit with Liam and Ondry again!
Gala picks up with the pair aboard their new home, travelling through space. Their goal is to trade with the insect-like Ishmee for genetic engineering which will extend Liam's lifespan (as well as Zach, The Grandmother's paleteia).
The book starts with a bang in Ondry and Liam's nest! What a talent Ondry has with his tail!! 💓💓 I think it's one of my favorite starts to any book in recent memory!
In short order we become invested in whether or not the Prownt will successfully trade with the Imshee. This book had much more dialogue and discussion on language, psychology, and cultural knowledge than previous books and much less actual plot.
We get to experience these wonderful beings from both POV's and this was a treasure. While this is not my favorite book in the series, I adored seeing these two together again.
I love how possessive and concerned Ondry is of Liam. I so enjoyed seeing just how capable Liam is of holding his own in Rownt culture.
I know this story came via Lyn Gala's Patreon site and was funded by her patrons. This is awesome! I simply wish I had a little more of a story here, this felt like #3.5 in the series rather than #4.
Still, I bought this straight away and didn't set it down until I finished it! AND now I can happily await the next book in the series which will hopefully be more thought out and heavier on plot.

I wasn’t sure what I was expecting with this book, but I can’t help but feel slightly disappointed.
What mostly stood out to me was how sad everyone constantly was in this. It felt way heavier than the other 3 books.
Even Liam and Ondry had their ‘fights’ in this. Of course Rownt don’t fight, but Liam and Ondry were still upset with each other.
And Ondry always came across as a wise Rownt to his own people in the previous books, but here it seemed no one was all that happy with how he acted.
I was also very curious to see how everything would be resolved since it was still such a mess at 80%, but then we got a couple of sentences saying Liam and Zach were and that was that. Also the issue between Ondry and Liam , was suddenly solved in one single sentence. That was so strange. Especially since not would bring its own set of problems, but apparently those weren't important anymore.
So overall I wanted more. I wanted more Liam and Ondry happy times, and not all these problems and issues they had to overcome.
I’m thinking 3.5 stars because I love them so much, but I did want a bit of a different ending for them.

I rounded down because the story ended rather abruptly and then went to the epilogue. I paged back to make sure I didn't miss something. Still, I love this universe and Ondry & Liam. I'd sure welcome more of their story, though the epilogue made it seem "finished".

This series is addictive. Moar, please!
These books are pretty much a fantasy of manners, or rather mannerpunk, since this is sci-fi.
The entirety of this installment, save for a few pages, takes place on a spaceship. As Rawnts barter with the Imshee for the extension of the humans' lifespan, we discover not only additional information about alien species - the Cy and the Imshee, - but also particularities of the Imshee linguistics (brilliant, really brilliant) and, as per usual, all kinds of trade and every day protocols and manners.
I truly hope there will be more :)

The fourth and last installment of this wonderful series is available only on the author’s Patreon, at the moment at the 3-dollar tier (which includes other contents by the author).
While unedited, I didn’t find it any less well-written than the previous books, the only issues I noticed were one or two misspelled words and in one case one Rownt word used in place of another, but anyone familiar with the previous books wouldn’t have any problem catching what word the author actually meant.
Regarding the story itself, another reviewer said that it does seem more like a glimpse of Ondry and Liam spending time together, more than an actual book, which is true.
It doesn’t mean that nothing happens, on the contrary, but it feels more like spending time with them than reading a book with a definite structure and I think anyone who loves this couple will enjoy it anyway.
Personally, what I loved and surprised me the most (aside from Ondry’s ) was seeing, I think for the first time ever, Liam and Ondry in serious disagreement about something. I don’t know I’d go as far as calling it a lovers quarrel, but in any case it was interesting to see a new side of their relationship and they still managed to be adorable even when not in complete agreement.
I’m a little sad to let them go and I’d be happy to read any new chapter or single scene about them (there are a couple I still have to go through), but if they never come, I’m leaving Ondry and Liam in a good place and that’s more than enough.

Some of the episodes in this series are hotter than others, and this one is smoking! hot.
It's not just the beautiful chemistry Lyn Gala builds between Liam and Ondry, it's the way their mutal affection and devotion comes out in every exchange. Such a powerful love story, it's really something special.
Lyn Gala also writes stunning science fiction, and the world they build here is spectacular. Complex, and thoroughly thought out, it's an absolutely pleasure to read this series.
It's not just the beautiful chemistry Lyn Gala builds between Liam and Ondry, it's the way their mutal affection and devotion comes out in every exchange. Such a powerful love story, it's really something special.

I am going to miss Liam and Ondry. And saying goodbye , it's bittersweet.
I wish for more books but alas , Expeditions, Estimation, and Other Dangerous Pastimes is #4 , the final one ; and it is the perfect ending for an unforgettable series.
I am also, going to miss listening John Solo narrate new trading opportunities, travels and adventures for Liam , Ondry , the Grandmothers and all the others characters he perfectly and memorably brought to life in this four books series.
In this book, a new alien race is introduced and its highlight his uncanny ability with tone , inflection and pace ; as his performance of the IImshee was brilliant.
A big part of why , I find the Claimings Series so entertaining, spellbinding and addictive is John Solo narration and characters portrayal. He is a master of his craft.
"After wiggling around, Liam found the perfect position, and Ondry curled around him. As he was falling asleep, Liam felt Ondry’s tail wrap around his left leg. Maybe life wasn’t perfect, but Liam liked the thought that at the end of a bad day, he could come home to Ondry. "

What impresses me so much about this series is how the author gave the Rownt such ingrained beliefs and instincts that are so different from human ones, and then consistently applies those to every situation. This makes for unique interpretations and results, often leading to confusion and/or humor, and frequently, a reevaluation of previously held beliefs. It's entertaining, and thought provoking.
* Although I love reading about Liam and Ondry, reading in installments over time doesn't work as well for me. I think my rating might be higher if I read it again all at once.

Foram 4 livros acompanhando diferenças de raças entre um rownt e um humano, eu gostei de como foi apresentado todas as diferenças da raça rownt que é totalmente diferente da humana, Liam e Ondry conseguiram juntar suas grandes diferenças e fazer disso uma relação agradável de acompanhar. Ondry foi muito amoroso com Liam durante os 4 livros e foi encantador acompanhar seus cuidados com o humano💓 Vou sentir saudades do alien e Liam 😭 Fiquei contente que conseguiram o objetivo de aumentar a expectativa de vida de Liam, se eu vivesse viajando entre planetas tbm iria querer ter mais anos de vida para aproveitar muito bem.

Good conclusion for this series. I enjoyed Liam’s personal growth and healing journey from the trauma and abuse he went through. I thought it was true to how difficult and slow the process is. Ondry was a protective asshole at times, but also so sweet with Liam. Getting a clearer look at the dynamics between grandmothers was fascinating and pulled the series together.

This is a character-centric story if there's ever been one in the history of ever 'n ever. How lucky are we to get that with Liam and Ondry and the Grandmothers and brilliant, humble, bumbling Zach Mora, and more! <<< not even worth a question mark, thas right.
Weaving all in and around our beloveds is a paralyzingly tantalizing chance for something that will forever change their lives. Shyeah, right, like I'm gonna spoilerize that fer ya. Nope. Move along, ain't happenin, my fellow Rowntians. These are not the surprising treats you're looking for.
We all know neither of Liam or Ondry is a wilting delicate flower. Well, maybe now and then, but that usually only happens when one has poked a particularly fragile part of the other's psyche. Otherwise, they're a duo sharp of mind, brave, headstrong, and cheeky to a delicious fault. The strength of their personalities allows the author to explore deeper and deeper into their relationship, as well as unabashedly displaying the progress each has achieved. On the flip side, these advances make their stumbles all the more enjoyable, amusing even.
The Grandmothers are proper costars to Liam and Ondry. We're granted the most extensive peek into their general ways of thinking, analyzing, what motivates and excites them, and that they really do have a generous amount of patience. The scenes that include all of our cast are some of my favorites in this entire series.
Get your protective goggles on, my darling dears, because the chemistry crackling between Liam and Ondry is as feisty, fierce, and intimate as ever. Every time they're in the nest, it feels right and works for the story.
You do want to have read this series from book one. Everything I've described will sadly pass you by if you haven't. And Gala assumes as much, in both this sense and the assumption that the reader is knowledgeable about the Rowntian terms organically utilized all throughout the book.

I really appreciated having this additional installment in the story of Ondry and Liam. It was interesting to see their relationship maturing, even to the point of being able to disagree, and to see the similarities and differences reflected in the relationship of another human-Rownt pairing, with Zach and the Grandmother. This book delves into languages and cultures in some new ways.
I felt that the ending was a little short - two major life-shaking issues that were real points of concern got resolved without the level of emotional impact I expected. But there was plenty to enjoy here, and this series remains one of my favorite human-alien relationships with fascinating and consistent world-building, and great characters.

I still hold a poor view of Patreon but this was a good decision for the author, IMO.

I love this series. I thought I had read the first three so I skipped on to number four. Oh well, I’ll just have to go back and read number three. I did wonder how the grandmother had a human paletia.

I enjoyed this. It is on Gala’s Patreon, available to her Patreon supporters. I believe as of today, she will be putting up a couple of epilogues. She seems to have been posting it chapter by chapter, to the great pleasure of all of us.
This story reads more like a slice of their time, than a normal book arc. But I loved it, and am very happy. Maybe the epilogues will shape the story into more of a book shape? This is not to say nothing happens - it does, and it is significant for lots of reasons. My only issue with this story is that it’s too short. I want more. (But again, please note, she still has bits of this one to publish? Post? This whole reading a book chapter by chapter as it is posted on Patreon - or anywhere, is a new experience for me - so I am still not clear as to how to think about it, critique it or address it).
I’m not terribly bothered quite frankly. I’m very happy to Hoover up whatever she publishes about Ondry and Liam. Including if it was like a web cam, just chronicalling their day to day existence.
I’m loving the addition of more characters and other aliens enriching and deepening the world building.

As much as I adored Liam, Ondry was the star of the show. I think he only really got his chance to truly shine in this last book though. Kind of a shame but let’s not get too greedy.
This book was kind of different from the rest. For one, the plot was more about space, other species and personal goals, and for another the main characters were at odds about some pretty important things. I loved the drama to be honest. But I especially loved the feelings and emotions those few scenes triggered. The romance was definitely the strongest in this book.
The end was a bit sudden, plot wise at least. I can’t say I minded it all that much since the epilogue did everything it was supposed to do, but still. I think the transition from the middle of the plot to the happy ending could have been a bit smoother.
Not that this actually matters. I loved this book. I loved this series.
But I especially loved the characters above all. Liam and Ondry were just so precious. Their bond, for whatever reason, is really all kinds of special to me. I’m very sure this series will be one I’ll reread many times.

I enjoyed this book. It was more eventful than the previous one and the climax of the book was good.
The only thing I disliked was that in the first few chapters cultural differences between Rownt and humans were explained again to Zach. It was a bit repetitive and boring.
The end was actually kinda nice but maybe a bit short to be fully satisfying.
But I really enjoyed this series!

I enjoyed this very much but not much happened. There’s a lot of philosophical exploration and discussion of cultural differences between alien races. Exactly the kind of philosophical exposition that we’ve seen in the previous books. We also see more of the strength and beauty of the emotional bonds between Ondry and Liam but to me it felt like that took a backseat to the focus on philosophy and linguistics.
If you’ve enjoyed the series thus far, I think this one will likely be a win for you.

This was a great story to really see Liam starting to come into his own and recognize how much he has truly accomplished. Now that there is another human palteia on the ship how far Liam has come is much more obvious. His trader strength is clear and how much of an asset he is to Ondry is a big deal.
It was interesting to see them all interact with another species this time around. There was a lot more of a intersection of human and Rawnts belief system and functionality than either of them have with the Imshee.
For the first time the majority of this story takes place in space and I enjoyed seeing how Liam and Ondry have adapted to their new world. They are such a strong couple now, it made the times that they misunderstood each other so much stronger as they worked through the differences inherent in their species. Ondry is still learning how to claim and keep his Tuk status, but his concern for his palteia is always going to take precedence. I really do enjoy this series so much. There are a lot of intricate nuances to these stories in the way trade and relationships are conducted. I love the way the Rawlt insult and are so careful with their words. Such a fun time.

Loved the ending of this series, but sad it is over.
I love these two, and it was great to see that after what appeared to be their honeymoon phase lasting forever, there are still some challenges these two had to overcome.

I have really enjoyed this series. There's not much sexiness but there's a lot of love and protectiveness. I cannot claim to completely understand the nuances and differences of the different species but it seems Lyn Gala has a sharp mind that can think abstractly. It's a rich universe she has created and I loved reading about it.

4.5 stars, just because it's Liam and Ondry and I love any look at them I can get. Ondry is my forever alien book-boyfriend! *heart-eyes*
This world is still amazing and I love the dynamics between Liam and Ondry even more, now that Liam has gained confidence in his own abilities as a trader and in his own worth, as the much loved palteia of Tuk-Ondry.
I was a little distressed to find that Lyn Gala had so much trouble publishing this, because the previous book didn't sell well? What are you waiting for people, GO READ!!

Sad to see the end of this series
It's a mark of a great series with excellent world-building that you feel sadness when it draws to a close.
I would have loved to have had more books with Liam and Ondry as they continued to grow and trade and navigate their joined life together on Prarownt.
There are some associated stories in the same world I belive though, so I shall head there for my fix.
This series has been outstanding, both in the complexity of the narrative, but also in the relationship development between Liam and Ondry.
It's a mark of a great series with excellent world-building that you feel sadness when it draws to a close.
