A Cupcakes-And-Crime Caper Roger Owen’s business isn’t doing well, and when he takes his wife and son to glitzy, glamorous Las Vegas for some quality family vacation time, he brings along a surprising +1: his mistress!
"Winters will have you giggling into your book!"
Life seems to pick up for Roger when he wins a huge jackpot… until someone gleefully kills him on the casino floor.
Caught in the hot seat as suspect number one, Roger’s wife Wendy hires Tiffany and Ian to clear her name and to solve the mystery of who really killed Roger Owen—even though it may very well be black widow Wendy!
Or was it his mistress, Mona, come to exact revenge for playing second fiddle so many years? Was it his son, Aaron, tired of his dad’s philandering and ready to inherit those big bucks? Could it have been Roger’s business partner, eager to take over the company and purge it of potential scandals?
Fingers fly in every direction with blame and accusation, and it’s up to Tiffany and Ian—with some assistance from little Snowflake and Nanna, of course—to unravel the tangled webs and shed some light on the truth.
This is a cozy mystery featuring a strong female protagonist, some unusual friends and family, and a mystery that needs solving! It has no graphic gore, bad language, or sex.

I have read all of the books in the series and they have been cute enough to keep me coming back each time. This one was so short and ridiculously predictable. Not sure I will be picking up the next.
This was ridiculous short, even for this series. Seems like it would have been more efficient to have published this one with several previous 'books' as a collection of short stories. Glad I read it with Kindle unlimited instead of paying for it.
It wasn't as humorous or a little thrilling as the author usually has in her writing, the story was too bland ,it didn't have the chaotic investigating that's associated with tiffany or her sidekick Ian and even with her nana involved a little . It lacked substance to the story I expected more , I was a little disappointed , I guess I was looking for more of stone and her boyfriend cop Ryan and the chaos involved around her family when she is investigating for her clients, a little disappointed read all of black series but this one in my opinion didn't wow or make the cut, I'm guessing the author just try to put a story together to meet deadline, don't know , not one of her finest.
Tiffany is back with another Las Vegas based murder mystery. While spending time in a casino lobby with her nanna a family walks up near where they are sitting and an argument ensues over the husband’s mistress who is standing there along with his wife and son. The argument breaks up and the group goes it’s seperTe ways only to have the husband play a slot machine on the way out and hit a five million dollar jackpot. The husband is then murdered and the wife hires Tiffany to find the killer. Lots of twists and turns and a surprise ending.
P.I./Casino dealer, Tiffany Black, & her partner in crime, Ian, are back on the job. Jackpot winner Roger Owens drops dead on the casino floor. Tiffany & Ian get hired by the grieving widow to find his killer. The story has lots of twists & turns to keep the story interesting. There was much humor & action making this an entertaining whodunnit! A.R. Winters never fails to entertain me with this delightful series!
I really enjoyed the cupcake and crime mysteries fearing Tiffany Black. The earlier books were quirky and lighthearted with just the right amount of murder . This book however was 96 pages long... that is a short story NOT a novel. There was no character development , if you didn’t know the backstory some of it would not made sense. It felt like a plot outline that did not get fully fleshed-out.Too bad because I was really enjoying this series.
This was a really short, funny mystery. What happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas including you if you're involved in a murder somehow. Nice little visit with Tiffany and her sidekicks. They find themselves investigating a murder involving a really messed up family with lots of twists and turns. Very entertaining. I received a free copy of this book and voluntarily chose to review it.
This instalment in the series was honestly a waste of time. Although it was nice to see the murder being committed differently from the last few books in the series which were getting very repetitive and formulaic . I'm glad I read this for free on kindle unlimited, if I'd paid the £3 pound odd for this book I wouldn't have been very happy with it at all.
Not as good as some of the previous books. Tiffany and Ian are entertaining but there was nothing noteworthy from Nana and a lot of my favorite characters didn’t even make an appearance (Glenn, Karma, Tiffany’s mom and dad, Stone, Officer Ryan). I feel like maybe the book was a little rushed, hoping the next one is better!
This was an extremely short and fast story that included Tiffany, Ian, and Nanna...none of their usual friends/associates were involved. The killer was very obvious and I was right with my guess. My only annoyance was that Roger DID NOT win the lottery...he won a jackpot at a local casino. The lottery thing drove me nuts.
A trip to Las Vegas proves to be fatal for Roger Owens when his mistress showed up. Tiffany and Ian were hired by the wife to investigate the death. Ian and Tiffany investigate all the usual suspects and Nanna provides the final clue. one romantic life is on hold with no contact from her detective or Stone Great reading and always with good eating.
The book was interesting. Kept my attention and funny at the same time. I live in Las Vegas and some of the streets she mentioned, I knew where they were so I can picture it as I was reading. the story the ending was good. I kinda figured out how it was gonna end When they were in the got room, altogether it was a good book.
I always automatically read this series, without even knowing the synopsis because it’s that good. I really enjoy Tiffany and Ian solving crimes, sometimes with her grandmother even helping out. This was more of a short story but packed a full plot and who done it.
This was a lot sorted than most of the Tiffany Black books. It also seemed to be very limited in character interactions for the regular cast and sort off like a refresher on where things stood. Nothing special, but worth the read.
When the series began it was fun, interesting, lots of things happening. Now I can't even finish a short book like this particular one, without jumping chapters in order to get to the end.
Too cut and dried, an entertaining read but not a lot of mystery. I would recommend this book to friends who like light mysteries. I will probably read more A R Winters titles.
What a plot this time - a dead husband who had just won the jackpot, a grieving widow, not to mention the mistress! Lots of giggles as we follow Tiffany and Ian as they set about solving the problem of who killed Roger.
Absolutely love this author. Books are quick easy, fun reads. Doesn't spend too much time on descriptions. Just enough to let you know what needs to be known. Light hearted and fun.
Enjoy the series. This book seemed kind of short. Like the characters and plots. For someone who doesn't like to investigate murders that's all she seems to do.
Fun in Las Vegas until the winner of the 5 million dollar jackpot dies. Who could it be ... the long suffering wife, The still-supported whiny son, The also long suffering mistress .... or ?
I enjoyed this quick, humorous read. Tiffany is hired to solve a murder by the prime suspect. I like the humor, especially Tiffany 's nanna , who had some of the best lines. The plot has twists and turns.
A quick fluffy mystery where Tiff & Ian are hired to investigate who murdered a man. His wife, his mistress, his son, or his son's fiancé? Kind of juvenile compared to the other books in this series with no interaction with Stone or Ryan.
This isn’t high literature, but they are fun and light mysteries, perfect for taking a break from everyday life. I recommend them as a perfect piece to escape to.
This was a fun book to read. Quirky characters, glitzy La s Vegas, a murder to solve. There is humor mixed in, and it is a clean read. I'll read more from this author!
It had been a while since I caught up with Tiffany & Ian. I thought this book was short but it moved the story forward. I’m already on the next one in the series.
