Very Organic and DIY

When the author says DIY, it’s really DIY.

This book is good for getting chemical names of what you probably don’t want in your hair and cosmetic products. It’s then great for letting you know what ingredients you do want and what each one will do for you.

I no longer order my own coconut oil, aloe vera juice and gel and vegetable glycerin preferring to order from those who have already put it all together, but this book makes me want to reconsider.

It’s ok

I don’t know what I was expecting but it wasn’t this. The book is basic in nature and some of the recipes seem questionable. When handling raw foods in beauty and hair products some precaution is required. This book doesn’t really address that. It’s an ok read.

I learned a lot from reading this book and is now embracing my natural hair plus I love herbs and oils and cooking up natural ingredients so that's a plus. Thank you Lynn Bell.
