Trust in Me

Rate this book
Hawkeye operative Trace Romero lives on the edge, taking risks and thriving on danger. When his boss’s little sister’s house is broken into, he’s tasked with keeping her—and her secrets—safe.

Trace’s arrival turns Aimee Inamorata’s perfectly ordered life upside down. The dominant and infuriatingly arrogant man is the kind of jaded alpha male she’s spent a lifetime avoiding. Now he’s sleeping in her house, telling her what to do, looking like temptation and sin, igniting a flame that threatens to consume her.

The madman determined to kill her is closer than anyone thinks, and Aimee will need to learn to trust Trace before it’s too late.

Nope. I do not like this book. The insta lust/ love is too much. The story is full with BDSM. The characters does not have chemistry at all. Hence the BDSM is stiff and forced.

Even the suspense can not save the story. I have been selecting books that is sucks.

So sad this book does not work either.

I thoroughly enjoyed Hawkeye operative Trace Romero and Aimee Inamorata’s story. Aimee is the younger sister of the boss of Hawkeye and when it appears that she is in danger, Trace is sent in to investigate and protect her at all costs.
I loved the push and pull of this relationship between Trace and Aimee, the sexual tension built and built until it threatened to explode. It was intense and way too powerful in the end for either of them to ignore .
Aimee has been attracted to the BDSM lifestyle she has read about in her books and has longed to explore it, but is she brave enough to ask Trace to teach her? The last time she put herself out there to request, it ended badly and having been burnt she really is uncertain if she should open herself up to ridicule and rejection again.
I really loved Trace, the way he guided Aimee in her new found exploration of the lifestyle was beautiful. His genuine care and thoughtfulness was swoon worthy. Throw in the fact that he was willing to die to protect her and you have a hero that melted my heart.
The writing was strong and I particularly enjoyed the feistiness and snarkiness that Aimee brought to the relationship when she and Trace were sparring. Her ability to be brave and yet vulnerable as Trace brought her into the lifestyle was heart warming. Aimee’s bird Eureka, had some of the best lines in the book and made me laugh.
When danger rears it’s ugly head, will Trace be able to protect the woman that he has come to care for so much? Or will it all be in vain?
Trust in Me was well written, smoking hot, action packed and a book I recommend.

Trace is sent in to protect Aimee, who is his boss's sister. She hates it at first but the more Trace learns about her, the more he wants her. He can't though, right? When he learns she is curious about BDSM, it throws him for a loop and they slowly start building a relationship. I love the fact that the characters didn't just jump right into the relationship, they took time to learn about each other first. But danger is closing in and it's up to Trace and his team to keep Aimee safe. Will he get to her in time before the bad guy gets to her? While I loved the first book, I really loved this one. It just reeled me in from the first page and hooked me good. And well, I didn't see the twist coming. LOL I highly recommend this book!!!

Eh... It was ok. There were a number of inconsistencies in the story... for example, she describes there being flowers on the ground AND snow up in the mountains and then later states that it's fall. I would not have noticed, perhaps, except that I live in Colorado and there's VERY rarely a combo of those three things happening at the same time. It's almost like it wasn't proofed. I also get a little annoyed by the fact that the man completely knows everything that she's thinking and feeling without an actual conversation taking place. I LOVE romance and read a fair amount of BDSM erotica but this story was just a little too fantastical. It's a fast read so I won't say don't read it... but I do think there are better books out there.

This was another very good book in this series. There has been a break in at Aimee's home so her sister, who is a top person at Hawkeye, orders protection for her. Trace is her bodyguard and slowly they start a personal relationship. Add in suspense where they need to find out who is behind all this and it was a really great story. I loved these two characters together. I will definitely be reading the next one in this series.

Holy Eureka!!!!

Trace Romero works for Hawkeye Securities. He has always lived a perilous lifestyle and it's one he has chosen for himself. His latest assignment is to protect Aimee Inamorta. Aimee also works for Hawkeye Securities in the IT department, along with her sister who is high up in the company. There is suspicion that Aimee's life is in danger and so Trace is hired to keep her out of harms way. Aimee has many classified secrets tucked away in her head. Secrets that dangerous people would think nothing of putting Aimee in their line of fire.

Aimee meets Trace and pegs him as your typical Alpha male. He is dominant, pushy and it's his way or the highway. At first Aimee digs her heels in and does not make it an easy mission for Trace. She gives him attitude every chance she can. Her tune soon changes when she realizes they have off the chart attraction to each other. She finds herself enticed by his dominant nature in the bedroom. Aimee likes that Trace wants to protect her. Aimee has always flirted with the thought of BDSM and Trace introduces her to all her fantasies and desires she has kept dormant.

This story is very action packed and will surprise you at the explosive conclusion. This is also a story of discovery between Aimee and Trace. Like the first book in this series, I would highly recommend reading this.

This Series just gets better and better. While I loved book 1 I must say this one is so far my favorite!

Trace has been assigned to keep Aimee out of dangers harm. Aimee knows many secrets that could end up getting her killed. She is definitely in the line of fire. Aimee's initial reaction to Trace is basically uninterested. He just seems like the typical Alpha male set on protecting her and getting the job done. He is stubborn and works in the sense that his way is the only way.

Aimee definitely does not make Trace's job easy. She is sassy, feisty and stubborn. She exudes attitude in every aspect. What Aimee does not expect is the attraction she has to him. Is it possible they are the perfect match? She is drawn to him dominance and control he has over her. She has always flirted and been tempted by the idea of being dominated, however, until now she has not acted on it. Will Trace be what she needs and more?

This book is explosive! You think you know what will happen, but you are wrong. Who does not love that? You will not be able to put this book down. READ IT!!!

Gentle Unexpected love

Seemingly a normal activity, Aimee Inamorata is working on her part of a top secret technology project. But when her house is broken into, with nothing perceived to be missing, Agent Trace Romero is still sent by her Hawkeye sister to be her body guard.

As weeks go by, Aimee and Trace develops a routine. And a sexual intimacy and trust evolves. Trace is a dominant and after discovering several BDSM books on Aimee's bookshelf, he is somehow persuaded beyond his better judgment to introduce Aimee to the physical aspects of BDSM. And he awakens her dormant sexual emotions and desires. He likes her responses to his touches.

But when another fellow technology worker is suddenly killed after he makes a technology break-through on his section of the same project, Aimee is moved to what should have been a safer place. But...what then occurs makes an intriguing story. And does it lead to death, love or more...? Make the effort to read and find out.

Got this as a free read in a newsletter so thought I'd give it a try. Apparently, there's a book before this one, but I didn't feel like I was missing anything major by not reading the first book in the series. I was not a huge fan of Aimee (her initial attitude and some of her internal monologuing were irritating), but Trace I did like and her parrot - it really helped make the story with funny comments from the bird and his antics. Because it's BDSM (which I didn't know at the time I started reading, lol) there's a good amount of steamy sex scenes, general explanations of the BDSM world (since it's an interest of Aimee's from reading erotic stories) along with fun banter, humor, suspense, and romance thrown in. There's also a twist with the whodunnit. Not my favorite type of genre by far, but it was a quick entertaining read. If you're a fan of the BDSM reads you'll most likely enjoy this one.

I like the way Sierra Cartwright writes a story. Her Hawkeye series is really fun and sexy. What's better than hot, alpha men, who are into loving dominance. Yummy!

Trace is protecting the famous Ms. Inamorata's sister (and still, no one knows her first name). And he falls for Aimee instantly. Even more when he finds her collection of BDSM ertotica, he feels his attraction more fervently. Aimee has never been truly introduced to BDSM and Trace is just the man to do. He doesn't expect to want to keep her forever, but if the person who hunts her get his way, he won't be able to...

Romance, BDSM, and smokin' hot chemistry come together to make this a fast-paced and enjoyable erotic read. From the dialogue to the plot, Ms. Cartwright got it right with this one. I can't wait to read more of the series... and to finally find out Ms. Inamorata's name!!!!

Trace and Aimee did a wonderful dance around each other, all the sexual energy sizzling, all those sly glances, and easy rapport. When your big sister is the person running the show for a security company, a little problem you have results in you getting a live-in bodyguard, who is shadowing your every move, going through all your things, and living in your house. Aimee gets Trace, and neither is prepared for the instant attraction

Once they finally, once Aimee makes her shy and tentative move to do something about all this, it is no wonder the heat between them is explosive. Of course, things happen, but they work it out, and then bad things happen, and then they get their HEA

Action packed, sexual tension, lots of jogging, and bribes for names, this book had it all!

I love this series! Trust in Me is so hot and the suspense is great! Trace is sent to protect his boss’ sister, Aimee. However she doesn’t think she needs protection and having someone in her space is not welcome and so there is a lot of tension.... all types of tension and the chemistry between them... Ohhhhh the chemistry 😉. The sexy as sin Trace spies some of her BDSM material.. and he just so happens to have the experience that Aimee is needing ... the question is will they act on it and can he keep her safe? I love these romantic suspense Sierra gives us! Super hot and steamy❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Didn’t finish after 3%. I can tell this is the type of book for those who need everything figuratively screamed at them in order to understand the points the author is trying to make. No subtlety, finesse, nuance, small details, letting the book/story speak for itself, etc. The author must not think we can figure things out without over emphasizing details. In the first couple of pages, we know the girl is “smart”, petite, and totally turned on by a guy she just met, her security detail. Because of course she is. And We know the guy is huge and gorgeous and strong and perfect of course. Basically two hot people that are hot for eachother instantly. It’s all just boring. Way too in your face.

Also I hate it when the guy is like, ‘oh hey, I’m here to help you!’ And the girl is just like so offended by this or like outraged or whatever. Like…???? This romance novel cliche happens a lot and I’ll never understand it. Are these women just that insecure with themselves that they need to show outrage or be indignant when a man is trying to help them? This book begins by letting us know that this girls apartment has been possibly broken into. A guy from the security team she works with comes over to take a look. And instead of being relieved and helpful and grateful to have an extra set of eyes to check things out and keep her safe, she tries to kick him out! She tries to block him and push him away and Not let him in. Does she have rocks for brains? When she does relent, he forces his way in, but She still won’t let him in the bedrooms. Like what in the world is she doing? Why do authors do this? What would it hurt to have someone come look at least, since he’s already there? Why is she being so rude to someone trying to help her? I’d love it and appreciate it so much to have some security if I thought I could be in danger. So yeah just from this cliche beginning I know I won’t like this book.

I don’t care much for bdsm books cause in MY opinion there’s ALWAYS something off in them but this one has to be one of the best ones I’ve read so far! Trace is one of the best Doms I’ve read about so far. He is all about consent and understanding. He makes sure she knows what’s happening to her and keeps her from panicking. He provided emotional, mental and physical support before, during and after the fact! And he does after care even when they aren’t being dom and sub and just having normal fun happy time!! Besides how good their dynamic is the plot and story line was also amazing. There were funny moments and sweet ones. I really really enjoyed this book.

I love the way Sierra Cartwright writes but this book was a bit disappointing in one aspect. The male character character who always knows what she's thinking. That's quite unrealistic even in the BDSM sphere. Everything is about communication. Sierra had all the main BDSM point down like communicating about what your sex preferences are, the safeword, the toys, consent, the post scene debriefing, about of aftercare and the clear distinction between the dominant and the submissive but it was all a bit shallow.

I don’t often read reviews before actually reading the book, and this one just reinforces that. Many people complained about the lack of chemistry, and now I am unsure if I actually feel that way, or only due to suggestion. I did like her innocent questions which made her endearing. Not sure how I felt about her bird, but I guess it was unique from other similar books. Not as good as the first book (not even close), but will definitely continue series.

Too short. No substance

Lots of s*x. Very short story and 70% was s*x. I like some heat but it was just so over the top. There was a lot of explanation of BDSM. Insta-love. HEA. The mystery, drama could have been developed and made a really good story but it was all glossed over. Editing was good.

okay read

It’s a short story with a lot going on. As a couple, the main characters are well suited and there’s a nice wee twist added into the mix. Dee from previous book has an appearance and my only gripe was no update on her.

Great Read!

I enjoyed this read. I enjoy this author's work. The characters were good together and it was an interesting premise. The hint of danger added to the appeal. Plenty of steam, too! I highly recommend it!

This was not for me. The characters were not well developed. The BDSM was so bad that I kept flipping the pages just to get through it. The story line was very weak. A few plot twists that did not envolve BDSM would have kept my interest.

I gave this 3 but feel it was only just.

I really liked the sound of the book and liked Trace but couldn’t take to Aimee.

I flicked through portions as I was little bored.

As always, read yourself and make your own mind up.
