В сборнике Человек-аквариум Иван Пилкин предстает совершенно зрелым поэтом и писателем с четкими ориентирами. Наряду с человеческой культурой и проблематикой его поэзия наполнена чувством (наделяющим ее лирическим напряжением) и интеллектом (поднимающим ее на моральную и идейную высоту). Мне нравится, что в эпоху пустоты и симулякров для Ивана Пилкина поэзия имеет значение: его стихи обладают не только грацией отточенной мысли, но и силой самобытного душевного порыва. Настоящий, мощный поэт, писатель с большим будущим.

„Человек-аквариум” (ARC, 2018) de Ivan Pilkin este o frumoasă carte de dovezi că poezia există pretutindeni. În lucrurile simple pe care le vorbești cu omul dragi de care abia te atingi cu genunchii. În această zi fără sfârșit care sângerează cu ultimele bătăi ale inimii.
În florile de cameră care ne urmăresc de pe pervazul acestei cărți – un cactus, o aloe ori un crăciunel – care sunt semne de înțelepciune, speranță și curățenie. Și chiar într-un apus de soare care ni se pare de-a dreptul inevitabil dacă suntem la piața de pe Calea Basarabiei.
Iar pentru ca toată această magie să ni se dezvăluie este nevoie de foarte puțin – de doi oameni. Unul care este poetul Ivan Pilkin din această carte și din toate care vor urma și celălalt – cititorul care deschide cartea și astfel își poate ține simțurile vii.
Ca într-un acvariu.

October 27, 2018There are many things that I’d like to mention here, which are roaming my mind after finishing this book.
The first detail that should probably be mentioned is that I’m not a great lover of poems, or at least that’s how I thought. Maybe I didn’t search well enough to find something I’d love, especially in modern poetry. Perhaps it’s due to these circumstances that I haven’t ever tried to understand the poems I had to read before. It was different with this volume though, as this time I had intrinsic motivation to get to the essence and taste the nucleus of the book.
As I’ve heard one say before, poems are intimate. And even though I feel like I didn’t get the essence of several poems from this volume (I will certainly come back to reread them), as though I’ve got to taste the nucleus but just couldn’t grasp what it really tastes like, it felt as reading the author’s intimate journal or overhearing a discussion I wasn’t supposed to.
I find myself unable to rate poetry, so I won’t be able to rate this book. Still, I can say without a doubt that I enjoyed it and plunging into it felt magical. I found most poems light-hearted, with a strong accent on the visual and tactile dimensions. From the beginning and up until the end, one feeling persisted: the one that the author is at peace with himself. That sense of peace and calm is soothing and almost healing; it made me feel like a moth flying towards a light in the dark.
The poem “Self-portrait” was my favorite. Embracing one’s own weakness and fragility is, to me, a revolutionary act. Sharing this with the whole world though is much more than that, especially for a man (even these days), which I greatly admire and applause. It made me wish I was able to find the strength to do the same and achieve that inner peace I felt throughout the book.
Overall, I wouldn’t say this volume has a typical and persistent masculine energy. What I felt instead was the balanced energy of a human being.

As a side note, I’m glad this book got to me at a time in my life when I got poetic inspiration born out of a combination of emotional factors and a university course. I put my hands on it at a time when I started writing again, and so it put the foundation of what may be the renaissance of poetry in my life.

„Omul-acvariu” este un volum de poezie matură, cu un substrat care îndeamnă cititorul să se oprească și să reflecteze. Ivan Pilchin scrie într-un stil limpede, dar profund, invitându-ne când la introspecție, când la meditație asupra unor teme precum dragostea, singurătatea.
Poeziile trezesc emoții amestecate, uneori melancolie, alteori liniște sau curiozitate și creează o atmosferă care rămâne cu cititorul și după ce cartea este închisă.
Volumul se termină prea repede, lăsându-ți dorința de a continua călătoria în lumea creată de autor. Este o lectură pe care o parcurgi repede, dar care te face să te întorci la versuri pentru a le reciti și a le descoperi sensurile ascunse.
„Omul-acvariu” este recomandat tuturor celor care apreciază poezia contemporană și vor să experimenteze un text ce combină simplitatea expresiei cu profunzimea ideilor.
