Not a lot of great non-canon tales in this but they were distinct to say the least. Felt as though stories like Kuroda's and Tori's were heavily influenced by apocalyptic genre and zombie survival while the rest were Devilman fill-ins, that being that the stories added content in between scenes from the original Devilman series.

Miyama's felt like a washed up origin story for a demon that Devilman would fight. 2 stars

Tori's was an amazing tale on demons stockpiling within a primary schools' student population, something that I had not seen before in the Devilman universe. It gave off Invasion of the Body Snatchers vibes for the reasoning behind the use of the children and the robotic stance the demons had towards replacing the humans. Really dark take on the child abuse as well. 4 stars.

Kaze's MK23 Woman felt like a Devilman Lady copy and had an inconclusive ending. 3 stars.

Tajima's was a decent re-imagining of Akira's first battle with Devilman. 3 stars.

Kanzaki's seemed to conflict with Akira's virtuous personality since Akira killed humans that had bullied him but the ending that featured Akira trying to piece together Miki was great. 4 stars.

Yasuhiko's felt like a filler. Seemed nonsensical to change Akira's name to Jidou Tobira when Jidou looks like Akira and this is a volume of manga dedicated towards the Devilman series. The ensuing battle was alright but revealment that it was a dream was a letdown. 2 Stars.

Kuroda's followed a band of humans in the wake of the demon invasion so this was unique. The Devilman universe tie in at the end felt gratifying. 3 stars.

Update
With the adoption of my new rating system, a three star rating is befitting. The original review conform to the new rating system. I have skimmed through "Neo Devilman 3" online to remind myself of this volume's content. The chapter ratings are accurate, but I would make some changes. The corrected calculations would go as follows:

Miyama: one star. I didn't like the male protagonist and his demise.
Tori: four stars.
Kaze: two stars. The inconclusive ending and the mediocre story, despite the emotional parts, lower the rating to two stars.
Tajima: three stars.
Kanzaki: four stars.
Yasuhiko: two stars.
Kuroda: twp stars. The gratifying ending cannot lift the volume from the mediocre aspects of the apocalyptic plot.

The cumulative rating is 2.71 stars, which allows for the volume to retain a three star rating.

Update
To find the most accurate rating for the volume, I have utilized the ratings of the chapters from the September 1, 2019, update and averaged them out through their page amounts. I counted the pages by reading the numbers on Mangakakalot.

Chapter One (Pages three through forty-four, for a total of forty-two pages). One star-rating. 42 points.
Chapter Two (Page forty-five through eighty-four, for a total of forty pages). Four star-rating. 160 points.
Chapter Three (Pages eighty-five through one hundred and sixteen, for a total of thirty-two pages). Two star-rating. Sixty-four points.
Chapter Four (Pages one hundred and seventeen through one hundred and forty-six, for a total of thirty pages). Three star-rating. Ninety points.
Chapter Five (Pages one hundred and forty-seven through one hundred and seventy-four, for a total of twenty-eight pages). Four star-rating. One hundred and twelve points.
Chapter Six (Pages one hundred and seventy-five through pages one hundred and eighty-six, for a total of twelve pages*). Two star-rating. Twenty-four points.
Chapter Seven (Pages one hundred and eighty-seven through two hundred and forty-one, for a total of fifty-five pages). Two star-rating. One hundred and ten points.

Six hundred and two points divided by two hundred and thirty-nine pages equals 2.52 stars which rounds up to three stars.

*Page numbers were not visible on Mangakakalot so I counted the pages individually. The page amounts match with those in the page of contents.

Update
I have changed the color of the rating from yellow with a grey outline to green with a grey outline. This volume reaches at least a 2.5 star-rating, as supported by the calculations in the previous update. I would comment on the previous update that rating the first chapter at one star seems harsh. Because of this uncertainty of the rating for the first chapter, I have left the color of the exact rating of the volume as yellow.

I would like to comment on the original review's description of Kanzaki's chapter: "Kanzaki's seemed to conflict with Akira's virtuous personality since Akira killed humans that had bullied him but the ending that featured Akira trying to piece together Miki was great". I must emphasize the last part of "Akira trying to piece together Miki" as reaching a definite five star-rated feeling, but the overall four star-rating of the chapter recognizes the conflicts I had with the plot in regards to Akira killing his bullies.

Update
I have changed the rating type from 2.5GG to 2.5GGAA. I created the 2.5GGAA rating type specifically for this volume. The book's traits of having a larger amount of four star-rated content over three star-rated content and being a book with books inside requires a unique rating type.
