Petre hoards his pumpkins. The ones he grows, and the ones he steals...Hot on the trail of Petre, murderer and human trafficker, is Jensen. A top agent of Human/Supes Protection Agency, who decides she’ll risk it all and go undercover.
Now she finds herself in a deadly battle against time. Will her three partners be able to find her, or will this agent save herself?
Petre, Petre, pumpkin’s all he’ll feed her, cause if she eats it, he’ll get to keep her.
***Possible trigger warning. This story contains strong themes of captivity and some elements of torture as well.
Initially, when it was published in All Hallowed Tales: Halloween Anthology (not available for purchase any longer), this was just a great, fast paced, scary short story, which left me craving for more, because the ending was a brutal cliffhanger, and I was hoping that the authors would continue the series. And they finally did!!!! The plot was already solid and consistent and there was a lot of potential to build more around it, before and after this story, and I sincerely hoped the authors would do that. And they did! I really feel like this story is mine and written for me and I love it so much. I don't usually have favourites, but this is definitely my favourite from these two authors. The main character is Jensen, a witch and an investigator from a special unit looking for missing women. She is strong, intelligent, and also stubborn, which ultimately got her into the mess she was in. Then there are her three team partners who are quite interesting. The character development in this whole story is so amazing because the authors apply multiple points of view and there are several instances where Jensen uses past memories to help her get through the difficult moments of her captivity. The bad guy is something else. Super scary, ruthless, sadistic, and overall brilliantly evil character. You simply have to hate him with passion. And the best part is that he is not the only one. However, Jensen s not a damsel in distress and she does not sit and wait for her partners to save her but works hard on saving herself. The tragic events of Jensen's captivity open a whole new can of worms, disturb the group dynamic and open the path to something completely new and different and it is quite interesting how the authors solved it. The ending was incredibly entertaining and I did not see it coming. Not like that. Awesome! This is a great story, I loved it, and I highly recommend it. And this new extended version is even better! After I read this full version, all I can say is thank you thank you thank you for writing it. It is even better than I could hope for and I love the authors for writing it.

That was boring. Jensen is an idiot who deserves to be kidnapped for stupidly setting herself up as bait. I didn't really like any of the guys. I seriously started to nod off twice and the book is less than 150 pages. These two authors may be fine on their own, but I think I'll skip them as a duo in the future.
Loved it! Jensen is a firecracker of a witch with a badge, and if shes coming for you you better hide (she would find you tho). She is one bad mama jama with not one but 3 very sexxi partners who are finding it hard to resist her charms. Can't wait to dive deeper into this world. Hope there is more to come!
Read this in an anthology and couldn't wait to read the ending. I was so upset it had ended with a cliffhanger. As soon as this released I read it and was not disappointed. It was so good and worth the wait.
