The second book in this series is focused on Mindy and Gage. There were times in the story I just wanted to reach through the book and give Mindy a couple of strong shakes. She figures she isn't worthy of anyones love. Gage is going to have to work really hard to convince her that she is capable of being loved and he's going to be that one to love her. Then there is the thing with her ex, who dumped her for a former girlfriend, who keeps showing up with said girl in tow. The past keeps holding her back from showing Gage that she loves him. How is this all going to end up? And when will we find out who is causing trouble for Mindy and her friends? The story is good and keeps the reader reeled in and the characters are engaging! Loved it and can't wait for the next book!!!

Lynn Burke continues the series in Without Hesitation (Sandy Ridge) following one of the wild trio of friends, Mindy with her story of heartache, persistence, and new beginnings. Mindy finds herself escaping to Sandy Ridge with her bestie, Kayla, in hopes of some fresh air and man candy. It is as if the stars have aligned when they meet the smoldering cabin owner, Gage face-to-face. Mindy has him nailed, painted, and framed before Gage has a chance to say "What's your favorite color?"
Gage is worthy of the panty sweats and Mindy holds nothing back. She is a lady on a mission that includes no attachment, no relationship, no commitment. What Mindy doesn't realize is that not all men feel the same way. Gage is different. Could he be the one to open Mindy's eyes to something real?
I fell for the characters in Without Reservations and was thrilled to see the story continue. Lynn writes some sizzling, sexy scenes that leave any reader's heart rate racing and begging for more.

I received this book with the understanding that I could leave a voluntary and honest review.

In this book we meet Mindy and Gage Hart. After being dumped 4 months before her wedding the hits kept coming for her. Her place was vandalized, she hasn't had a sale on her pottery or jewelry in months and the one night she goes out with her best friend she sees her ex with a new woman. To be the ultimate topper her brother OD's and her parents who she has been telling for months to get him help expect her to be there. She is done and needs a vacation. Lucky for her the cabin they rented in the spring is available for them. Now all she needs is someone to take her mind off it all. Gage takes one look at Mindy and he is interest but something holds him back. He is determined to go slow now matter how much Mindy pushes him. Will they find a HEA or will his reluctance to touch her and her need to protect herself destroy them before they even start?

This is a great story. It does have its ups and downs I really want to tell you about. However I don't want to ruin the story for any other readers. I will say this book will have you hooked from the first word to the very end. I would highly recommend it to anyone and everyone.

this is the first book that I have read by the author and it will not be the last the author is a great storyteller and her worlds and characters come to life in my mind so beautifully.

Mindy is trying her best to come to terms and to grips with her fiancee dumping her just a few months before there wedding and after a break-in at her brothers she is at her wits end so she decides a holiday is what she needs and some fun which she gets and then some.

Without Hesitation is a continuation of the Sandy Ridge series, following three friends, Mindy, Kayla, and Meg. This story, Without Hesitation, follows Mindy, who has just been dumped and is heartbroken. Mindy goes to Sandy Ridge with Kayla to get a change of scene. She's not looking for a relationship, but she meets the cabin owner, Gage, and sparks fly. Mindy just wants sex, with no commitment. But Gage is looking for a lasting bond with the one he's fallen in love with. This is a hot short story that nicely fits in the Sandy Ridge series.

A well written story short and steamy story. Mindy gets away with her friends. Mindy has instant chemistry with Gage who happens to be repairing the cabin next door. She is in self medicate mode with lots of one night stands after being heartbroken. Gage determined not to be a piece of meat and show Mindy she deserves love sends them thru ups and downs hoping for a HEA. I enjoyed reading.

A short quick read, this book captured my attention by the blurb. It definitely delivered. I enjoyed the chemistry between the two main characters...it was believable and entertaining. A lovely book.

Mindy needs to get away after her studio is broken into and she's dumped by her man for one of her friends. While on her getaway with a friend, she meets a hot guy and she intends on making him her next conquest. Except Gage isn't so easily swayed. Will Mindy stick it out and try to woo him, or give up and treat him the way she's treated all the other men in her life since she was dumped?

I loved Gage, he's really the only thing saving this from a lower rating. He was strong, steadfast and not about to be treated like a piece of meat. He saw in Mindy what was really there, and demanded respect from her. That's the sign of a good man, a good person. I couldn't stand Mindy, though, and the story line itself was too over the top dramatic for my tastes. So, great hero, horrible heroine and so so story line. 3 stars is about right.
