Tobias Redfern thought for sure he'd lost his chance for love when Lydia Pullman married another man and moved away from Creede. He's resigned himself to living out his days alone in his bookstore. But when he meets a mysterious auburn-haired beauty on the street one afternoon, he finds his heart coming alive again.
Louisa Brown has known a great deal of pain and loneliness in her life, and music has been her saving grace. Coming to the town of Creede, Colorado, as a guest soloist could be the fresh start she's looking for, but the baggage of her past might be too heavy for her to carry on her journey.
With the help of a matchmaking angel, a meddling rooster, and William Shakespeare himself, perhaps these two souls can find the peace they are seeking in each other's arms.
Amelia C. Adams is a wife, a mother, and a novelist. She spends her days dreaming up stories and her nights writing them down. Her biggest hero is her husband, and you might just see bits and pieces of him as you read her novels.
She loves all things historical and enjoys learning about days gone by, but she's glad she was born more recently (she won't say how recently or not recently) because the Internet is awesome, and she's glad she doesn't have to wash her clothes by hand in a galvanized tub. She has hit Amazon bestseller status twice, once for A Clean Slate and once for A Clear Hope.
Loved this latest addition to the Cowboys and Angels series. Poetry classes for the miners, opera in Creed, witty repartee, and Bob making and appearance. Can't ask for anything more.
How the small, wild, frontier town of Creede, Colorado has grown since we were first introduced to the Cowboys and Angels series. I have enjoyed this adventure so much, getting to meet interesting people, some dastardly villains, and some unexpected angels along the way as well. I certainly hope we have a lot more journeys back in time to the Old West in store for us in the coming years
Rhyme or Reason is the 27th story in this beloved multi-author series. It’s a simple yet profound love story with no villains, no danger in sight, simply two people finding each other and falling in love. Well, maybe with a little help from an angel and one very special rooster.
It’s actually humbling to realize just how far we’ve come in just over a hundred or so years. Icebox. Now that’s a phrase my grandparents spoke of, and I’m no young spring chicken! Also, a medical condition that is quite commonly known today was very much a mystery then… how far we’ve come, indeed.
Tobias is such a kind man and I was so thrilled to see him find his happy ever after. Louisa is sweet, charming and has a bit of a fiery temper when stirred… justifiably I might add. We’ll also get an explanation of exactly what Bob the rooster is… aside from an annoyingly good guard…rooster?
I enjoyed myself with a good story, had fun with the bantering between Tobias and Louisa and enjoyed catching up with old friends. As always, a fun, entertaining trip back to Creede, Colorado that I would happily recommend to any reader who loves a good, clean love story, believable characters and a taste of a simpler time.
I read this title through my Kindle Unlimited subscription.
This is a wonderful and inspirational story that has wonderfully written characters and a plot that is awesome. No problems really but lots of fun things and unexpected happiness and an angel. Do you believe in guardian angels? Read this inspirational and fun, witty story and you might start if you don’t. I really loved this story as it has a great heroine and hero and both unexpected in some ways. I also liked that is had a common medical problem exposed that is a good thing for people to realize symptoms when they start having them. I haven’t read too many novels or novellas that do this so kudos to this author for adding that to her story. I really loved the banter between the two main characters. It makes for a fun story that makes you laugh as well as root for the heroine in her preferred profession and root for the hero to gain her love. This is an all-around winner for any reader. I am a beta reader for this author and was not asked to do a review but to help find any mistakes and how the flow of the story goes. But I really wanted to use this to review this story so this in my unbiased and honest opinion.
I was so happy to see a happily ever after for sweet Tobias! I loved this story and I truly appreciated that there was no conflict or lack of communication between this cute couple.
I did wonder at the fact that neither one of them said the words “I love you” to each other. Tobias thought to himself that he loved her, but Louisa didn’t in her thoughts.
Regardless, this was a very nice and sweet story. My favorite part was when they first met. Their conversation was so much fun ❤️
Once more an angel comes to Creede, and the perfect match is the outcome. Tobias has pretty much accepted that the bookstore will be his lot in life, and then Louisa literally falls in his arms. Louisa has taken a chance and is pursuing her dream of singing in stage. She takes a chance on a surprise offer from a new opera house in Creede, not realizing that her very own guardian angel has big plans. Perfect example of "we plan, God laughs."
It was love at first sight for Tobias and Louisa, but they just did not realize it yet. She was the singing attraction at the opera house in Creed. She was terrified as it was her first performance. She was a bit with all especially Tobias. She discovers she is I'll but it doesn't stop Tobias and Louisa from planning to marry. Very cute short story and Bob is so very funny.
I just love a book where the studious non-hunky man gets the beautiful song bird. A heartwarming sweet story about a bookstore owner finding his true love, with all the wonderful characters of Creed, CO thrown in, including Bob the Rooster. Humorous and sweet. Best quote: "That’s what love is deep down. You become angels in each other’s lives, comforting and protecting each other, being there when times are difficult."
Amelia C Adam's always writes a good book and she didnt disappoint here . This is the book about Tobias the bookstore owner, who starts poetry readings for the men of Creade to give them some Culture. He also meet Louisa, who comes to Creade to sing. A lot of interesting things happen because these two people meet, you have to read the book to find out tho. I loved reading this book. It could be read as a standalone but is #27 in a series of 69. Characters crossover from book to book, so it's better if they are read in order.
Two lonely and misunderstood people meet. One a book store owner and the other a young lady. She had had moved from one place to another. She is looking for a place to call home. They each as they say just one week later as the marry. It was at that first glance they found their other half.
Another great read from the collective authors of the Cowboys and Angels series. Bob the Rooster, who happens to be my favorite character; displayed his human-like character with memorable and humorous limited appearances. Loved it!
I loved this book right from the start! Love how they interact, love the wit and fun. Always enjoy the angels, the rooster is an added bonus. My definite favourite of them all so far.
Just love this . Can't get enough of the phenomenial characters. Love Bob, but he's become very gentle not as high string as he was in the beginning. Please keep up the great stories.
This had some interesting dialog and the Shakespeare interpretation was so funny plus who's passing counterfeit money. A couple more chapters would feel couplete
This was a love story without a lot of drama, crime, or mystery. Showing 2 people meet and fall in love and no matter what comes along they will be there for each other.
With some they never know they have an angel. Some realize they do have an angel and they do get to talk to them. I love the Cowboys and Angels series. This is another excellent story.
The best thing about this story was the witty banter between Tobias and Louisa. I was also impressed that one of their obstacles was health related. Very sweet and satisfying.
This is the 27th book in the Cowboys and Angels series. It's the story of a new character, singer Louisa and the owner of the bookstore, Tobias. It's a nice sweet story. We also are treated to a repeat visit from angel Hyacinth Chapel.
Another great book in a great series. I'm really enjoying this series and loved Louisa and Tobias' story. I'm really enjoying the characters of Creed and Bachelor and look forward to more books in the series.
I really enjoyed this book so very much 😊. RHYME OR REASON, COWBOYS AND ANGELS BOOK # 27 BY AMELIA C. ADAMS . I LOVE BOB WHEN EVER HE SHOWS UP . I recommend teens and up .
I really enjoyed this story mostly for the humorous banter in the dialogue. Even without the usual sort of villain or danger it kept me thoroughly entertained. Enjoy 💜
