Emma a intégré le groupe de hip hop de Jake, Misha et Héloïse qui s'entraine en vue d'une audition importante qui approche. Jake voit en Emma un énorme potentiel et il pousse la jeune fille à travailler de plus en plus afin d'améliorer son style. À moins que, comme le pense Héloïse, il ne s'agisse que d'un prétexte pour passer plus de temps avec elle ?

De son côté, Capucine se rend à Londres pour une représentation de Casse-Noisette. Son rôle cette année est assez simple pour une danseuse de son niveau mais connaître une chorégraphie et la danser sur scène sont deux choses totalement différentes...

This was a cute third installment into the lives and growth of these two sisters. I liked the relationship between the two and how Emma was there for Violette even at the expense of her own dream and goals. But again, it was just too short. There wasn't enough development in the plot because the whole thing is only 48 pages and some of that doesn't even have words. But the artwork is phenomenal.

I love the dynamic between the sisters, and Lena Sayaphoum's art is gorgeous. Unfortunately I found this to be the weakest of the three books, the plot was the least substantial. Lots of pages being taken up by just dancing are beautiful but the story didn't really go anywhere. This is the one where I thought it could have been longer, it spent so much time just having the characters interact (and mostly about relationship drama) but for a short 48 pages I wanted something more impactful. The first book had the theme of adapting your dreams, the second one was about fitting in, this one was about finding your own style and stage fright. Which are good an all, but Emma's 'style' is hard to interpret from the artwork. It looks as beautiful as ever with Sayaphoum's art and there's not noticeable change throughout the book. For Emma, dancing is just a metaphor for her personal chemistry with her romantic interests, and that dynamic fell flat for me. For Violette it's a very real professional dream and fear, and that was stronger but took a backseat to her own relationship dramas. Still it's a cute book and isn't bad, I would read more if these creators continued the story but I'm happy if it's just left here.

J'avais qualifié le tome précédent de tome de transition car il manquait de développement, mais je constate que celui-ci n'apporte pas une grande évolution dans l'histoire hormis la pression que ressentent les deux jeunes filles. J'ai envie de laisser une dernière chance à Emma et Capucine mais si l'histoire n'avance pas un peu plus et n'est pas plus structuré je devrais m'arrêter là...

Still in keeping......

The only disappointment is that the ride is over(ish). Life goes on & it's a good ending, nay, a great ending, but like real life, it's not a HEA. The art maintains its high standards and the visual as well as the narrative completely captivates.

J'ai beaucoup aimé ce 3ème tome, je l'ai trouvé très beau au niveau des illustrations. On y voit les deux jeunes filles danser plus que dans les précédents et c'est très joli, très bien représenté (ça m'a fait rêver). Au niveau de l'histoire, il n'y a rien de palpitant mais je reste tout de même happée par cette ambiance et l'univers de la danse et puis je me suis beaucoup attachée aux deux sœurs et j'ai pris goût à passer du temps avec elles. J'ai hâte de lire la suite !
