Creator of The Chase Fulton Novels series and The Avenging Angel - Seven Deadly Sins Series, Cap Daniels is a former sailing charter captain, scuba and sailing instructor, pilot, Air Force veteran, and civil servant of the U.S. Department of Defense. Raised far from the ocean in rural East Tennessee, his early infatuation with salt water was sparked by the fascinating, and sometimes true, sea stories told by his father, a retired Navy chief petty officer. Those stories of adventure on the high seas sent Cap in search of adventure of his own, which eventually landed him on Florida’s Gulf Coast where he and his wife Melissa spend as much time as possible on, in, and under the waters of the Emerald Coast.
With a headful of larger-than-life characters and their thrilling exploits, Cap pours his love of adventure and passion for the ocean onto the pages of his action adventure series, The Chase Fulton Novels and his new series Avenging Angel - Seven Deadly Sins.
Inspired by the likes of John D. Macdonald’s Travis McGee, Randy Wayne White’s Doc Ford, and Wayne Stinnett’s Jesse McDermitt, Cap creates thrilling tales of action and adventure set throughout the Caribbean and coastal Florida and Georgia by intertwining nautical adventure with international espionage. Cap’s Chase Fulton Novels series promises to keep readers on the edge of their seats, trying to guess what new danger or adventure lies just around the corner.
The Avenging Angel - Seven Deadly Sins series is a spin-off starring the most controversial and intriguing character from the Chase Fulton Novels. After defecting to the United States, Anastasia "Anya" Burinkova, a former Russian SVR assassin and intelligence operative puts her lethal skill set into action against the powerful Russian Mafia. In this gritty, organized-crime thriller series, Cap Daniels takes his readers into the dark underworld of the Russian Mafia weaving actual events into fiction to leave the reader's heart pounding and their fingers itching to turn the page.

Any boat lover, hurricane survivor, or Floridian will be moved by this book. I am all three, and I’m wrecked. But this story is also joyful; a celebration of love, courage and renewal. Read it and you’ll understand.
What a creative story to raise money for victims of Hurricane Michael that struck in Florida in October of this year!
This novella is well worth the short time it takes to read, and the purchase benefits deserving people to get their lives back together after this disaster.
Unrelated, but kudos to the cover artist! Fantastic! The life of a sail boat as told from the point of view of the sailboat herself. Excellent book! It seems that Gypsy was one lucky sail boat, being handled with love from the builders who brought her to life, to the family that commissioned her to be built in the first place. We follow them through several years of joy and tragedy, while being treated to some sailboat logic along the way. Then Gypsy is sold to a new owner and we follow her several more years with him getting married and having a family. Finally, the boat is given to his grandfather, Cappy, who has known noting but the sea his entire life. Finally, it ends with Hurricane Michael.
This was a short sweet little book about the life of a sailboat, told from the perspective of the sailboat, Gypsy. I love unique perspectives, so that aspect drew me in. You follow the life of the boat through construction and it's three owners, a family with two young children, a seasoned nomad-sailor who marries the love of his life and welcomes two daughters into the world, and Captain, the sailor's grandfather. Shortly after coming under ownership of the last owner, Gypsy and Captain go through Hurricane Michael... neither which survive the storm. I know the book was good for what it was, but it left me wanting more. Better character development, more time with Captain... I don't know. It felt like it skimmed the surface of what it could have been. Nonetheless, an enjoyable read.

Is it really an act of support or love of an author’s books to completely read everything the author has written? It’s both for me, as I just devoured Cap’s ‘I Am Gypsy”. It was delightful! Now, I’m really hungry for more. No, I didn’t cry reading the book, as I’m a sailor myself, I understood it’s pain. It’s not a discourse on inanimate love affairs until you realize it’s just mirroring what is felt about it… like my feelings about my very quick MINI Coupe or the slow submarines I rode on or my favorite leather chair that became mine to keep my back happy. That’s why I name everything…cars, subs, chairs, canes and best of all my bed! Questions? Write Cap. I’ve gone fishing with Killer Rod & Reel in Pensacola!
EXCELLENT READ Fast flowing and poignant. The character of the boat is filled in as a personalty . I related to the character as if she was a member of my family. I understand as I have boated since I was 14 and built my first boat. Almost all of the boats I have owned have developed character individually. There have been only two that did not resonate as individuals, with their own personality . Enjoy ! So far I have read all of Cap's novels and enjoyed each . I am waiting with bated breath for the next Chance novel. W.P.Paxton II
A great idea---an immediate book to help hurricane victims when the need is the greatest. Cap Daniels owes me a good chunk of my Saturday afternoon. I downloaded the book this morning, on the recommendation of Dawn Lee McKenna, planning to read it over the week-end. I made the mistake of peeking at the first chapter and then could not put it down until it was finished. Seriously, a much better way to have spent the afternoon. Should be a "must read" for anyone thinking about riding out a hurricane on a boat.
What an amazing novelette! Cap Daniels has captured life, love and the true meaning of both! Excellent writer with a unique view from a sailboat with a beautiful soul! Cap has a way of sharing his own soul through his writings! Read this book expecting to learn a lot of valuable information, and about life too! His contribution to the Hurricane Michael relief was an excellent choice! Thank you again, Cap! Be sure to read his "Chase" series and his other short story "We Were Brave".
I remember when I met you on Sanibel Island. You rented small sail boats. I wanted to rent the only bigger boat you had but it wasn’t available. I think that was just after I moved to Fort Myers in 2001. Maybe about 2003-2005 when we spoke? I had owed several companies in MI. My experiences in business ownership led o believe that you were headed for failure in your current indever God had better plans for you I felt you were a special person in his plan. To spread his gospel in a very special way. You’ve come a long way pilgrim
This was a great idea, using the sail boat to tell the story. It was funny at times and very sad at times. Had me in tears at the end. I live on the west Central coast of FL and have been through hurricanes but never one that bad. Still praying for the folks North of us. God bless them. Thanks for writing this and donating the money. They need it desperately.
I bought this novella because Cap is going to use the proceeds to help victims of Hurricane Michael. I really didn’t expect to enjoy it so much! It’s a beautiful story about a beautiful sailing boat and the families who loved her. Great job, Cap! Looking forward to the next Chase...
I absolutely loved this endearing story. Cap Daniels is a very talented writer. He made this tale come to life and that tells me he knows the emotions he wrote about here. I couldn't put it down. So selfless to write a novella completely for the benefit of those who suffered such catastrophic loss during Hurricane Michael.
( Format : Audiobook ) "If the octopus can come to the wedding." A delightful novella following the life of a sailing yacht, from birth to her encounter with Hurricane Michael in 2018, told from the viewpoint of the boat. Naive and charming, gently emotional, and well narrated by Kyle Tait. Enjoyable even for landlubers, like me. Proceeds go to the victims of the hurricane..
I'm speechless. This book, written in a boats voice, has brought up so many emotions and memories of my conversations with seemingly inanimate companions in my life. A 70s VW bug. A 4wd Ford ranger. Agnes, my current Toyota. I've talked to them all and they've listened.
Gypsy reflects on her life as a ship/boat, an object, not as man. Gypsy tells her story from birth to death with the highs, lows, loves, and dislikes. I wish I would have read this years ago as I found myself reflecting on things in my life. Cap Daniels wrote a very good story for a very good reason.
My heart bleeds for the people who went through Hurricane Michael. This book is special because it will help with the relief effort in Florida. I loved reading about Gypsy's families and how she took care of them. This is a very special book.
Having just finished "We Were Brave" this morning, I didn't feel ready to go out into the world. Made a quick trip into this novella to recover, and now all is good.
Life as viewed from a sailboat- what a concept, but it worked well. A picture of life viewed in a way different from how a person might see it. Sorry to see her lost.
I am in awe of how this writer gave life to the character portrayed that had such love and compassion for the world and the persons it encountered. A very good read.
A good book will stir all sorts of emotions. If a book brings you to tears, then you know the author did his job. This is a short story but well worth reading.
More than worthy novella about the life of a sailboat, written from the perspective of...the sailboat. I enjoyed it a lot, plus it was written as a way to support victims of Hurricane Michael.
