Second book is a as great as the first one, both plenty of exciting gunplay and enough mystery to pacify the greatest demands of any reader. Cully is definitely a person to follow, as he definitely setting the precedence of becoming the next gunfighter to contend with. I am definitely impressed with Mr. Slade's apparent research before striking the first key, as his stories are unbelievably outstanding representations of old American western folklore. Great stories, with unbelievably outstanding display of western camaraderie!
This new series is definitely five stars material, and I complete am readily prepared to follow through with the next two books of exciting adventurous episodes! These stories stories are definitely representative of what I perceived the old western folklore really came from. Never a dull moment when Tully begins his searches, and the action unfolds so fast I never lose interest in any of his ongoing adventures. Too, the author's selection of his characters and storylines successfully pacifys the most demanding reader's undivided attention. Also, most of these are very family-friendly and heartwarming stories that gains the reader's undivided attention and holds everyone's attention from beginning to end. Most definitely recommend these two very exciting stories to anyone invincible western adventures and entertaining episodes of somewhat realistic episodes of our great American western folklore. Try these books, or the loss will most certainly be your loss, and I would hate to see that happen.
An OS. Weztern About Cully the Bounty Hunter (2)/Train Robbery
OS. Had penned a second western about our intrepid bounty hunter who overheard two outlaws planning a raid. They hire five more men to assist them is attacking a retired sheriff. The attack fails. The two brothers go ahead and continue their plans, but they still have to contain the deputy marsshal. This is an excellent read for the genre.....DEHS
I still don't know if Orris Slade he's a real person or a house name, but I do know that I love reading his books. Cully the Bounty Hunter is a series of 12 books that are basically stand-alone with the same character. In this second story (Justice Served), Cully will help saving the life of a retired sheriff and also prevent a train robbery. Orris Slade wrote with great pacing and enough emotions, suspense and action for the reader to be fully entertained. The writing style itself is easy-to-read and carries the story forward with brief but effective descriptions of landscape and character's psyche. So far, all of the novels that I read from Orris Slade achieved something quite difficult nowadays, which is to keep me entertained and kept me reading.
Continuing the Cully saga finds our hero once again on the outlaw's trail. Another good Otis Spade western story. I don't think I'll quit reading until he quits writing.
Thanks again Mr. Slade. This series is quickly becoming one of my favorites. Keep up the good work keep them coming.
What a story. Had me from page one. Being an on again off again lawman he had friends in many places. This recipes around a group of outlaws on a plan to rob a train. Also revenge for the death of their brother. Its almost hilarious at the stupidity of their plan. A must read.
Thank you Mr slade for not adding to our degrading society. I can't even go fishing anymore without having to listen to ten year old boys and girls F'ing this and F'ing that. And it's not just some of them, it's nearly all of them.
Fully is my kind of no-nonsense, really tough good guy! There is no mental anguish over extinguishing the lives of killers. I have always found that to be pitiful. Yes, not liking to kill is very good but anguish over the death of a killer? No.
I liked this book much better than the first Cully book.. He had more reason for the killing in this book. I found heart in the book as he tried to help Sam and save the. Money for the gold company. He turned into a good guy.
Cully is one of the really good guys, sometime bounty hunter, sometime law man. He overhears a group of drunken crooks planning on robbing a train that has a huge payroll. But first they plan to kill a retired sheriff. Cully isn't about to let any of that happen. Another excellent Cully story!
Cully goes to help out an old friend of his and vows justice on the two outlaws that got away. The only thing is to get justice he must stop a train robbery.
