A gripping saga, the third moving instalment of The Poor House Lane sagas is perfect for fans of Val Wood and Katie Flynn
Born in Lancashire, I've been a teacher, bookseller and in a mad moment, a smallholder on the freezing fells of the Lake District where I tried my hand at the ‘good life’, kept sheep and hens, various orphaned cats and dogs, built drystone walls, planted a small wood and even learned how to make jam. I now spend the winter in Spain and summer in the UK. I have now published 48 books including many bestselling family sagas and historical novels. Freda this was the first three books that I've read of yours, absolutely brilliant I couldn't put them down,I have you a definite five star because you deserved it,I so enjoyed the trilogy and would recommend these books to any reader, that loves a good story that keeps you booked all the way through till the last page
Really gripping read with lots of excellent thought out scenes. Dark at times but gets the reader excited for the next chapter. Some real life sad scenes and a bit upsetting at times , especially the mad house chapter but that’s all part of keeping the reader engaged. Definitely recommend all 3 books in this saga .
Brilliant trilogy of books couldn't put them down until all three were read.
Brilliant trilogy of books couldn't put them down until all three book's had been read.first time i had read books from this auther but it won't be the last.
I've thoroughly enjoyed reading all three books in the series. The twists and turns certainly made me gasp! Such an evil woman. Would recommend it to anyone who loves a good romance/thriller.
The acts of pure evil shown by her sister-in-law is just unrelenting and you begin to despair she will never be caught out. Unbelievable that her husband in hos will leaves her so vulnerable to the sister-in-law! I could not wait to get to the end!
I have read the three books in this trilogy and enjoyed them , there was a bit of an overlap but not too much and this made the books more enjoyable ,nice easy read .
As I read this book I was fuming, I was so mad that Lucy was getting away with being so awful to everyone around her. I kept reading and waiting till Karma got her. I was only half satisfied when she lost everything. She truly was nasty. But then near the end of the story she goes and tells the police it was Callum who had killed his Father ..... I'm like WHAT??? I was so mad!! Thankfully that all got sorted out, she gets found to be guilty and then the story just winds up and ends! I would of liked to read what happened to Lucy, how she was made to suffer but no the book just ends! Great story but disappointing ending.
